For over four decades, Kevin Comerford and his family have been fulfilling the heating and air conditioning needs of Northern California residents.
Kevin graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1994.
After graduation, he returned home to join his parents' air conditioning and heating business.
After running the business for 25 years, his parents sold it to a $5 billion corporation based in Dallas, TX.
Kevin worked with that company for six years before deciding to leave the corporate environment and establish a family-owned, client-centered business like his parents did in 1972.
Consequently, he launched Service Champions in 2002.
Guided by these values, Kevin's company has grown to include more than 200 team members and has been in operation for 18 years.
Today, Service Champions caters to homeowners across the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), South Bay, and Sacramento.
Kevin makes his home in Pleasanton, CA, alongside his wife and three children.

I have used service champions over the past 5 years and have watched their service deteriorate. They used to come out twice a year, once for heater and once for air conditioning. Now they complete all in one service and charge the same. They automatically deducted my annual membership in December and on January 13th notified them that I had moved to a new address and transfer my plan. We set a new date of February 24th. All of this was completed with an email verification of our conversation. Yesterday I received a text reminder of my appointment but it was listing my old address. I immediately got on the phone to update them and of course they could not come out and had no record of our conversation on the 13th. I spent over 30 minutes on the phone with them and finally was at a point of no return and asked for my money back since they did not believe their customers, or maintain accurate records. They have become a big joke!!!

This company installed and maintains my HVAC. I am very glad I found this company. I'm on the prepaid maintenance plan (MVP). They call me to remind me and schedule every 6 months or so. I'm told exactly wich technician is coming, and at what time. The technicians always explain what they're doing very clearly, and show me pictures so I don't have to go up to the attic myself. The system has worked flawlessly for 10 years, and I expect another 5-10 years out of it. I get free safety checks on my plan, which I have taken advantage of after big storms and roof replacement. Thanks to this company and this plan, this is one area of my life that I just don't have to worry about.

Needed help with setting up new thermostat bc old one went out and was without heat for almost a week. I'm already a client, so called my Service champions and got an appointment for the next day! Kyle Mills was my service guy and was awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable and dog friendly! So glad it was a quick fix, but also fix a small thing on the furnace that later down the line wouldn't be good. But also a quick fix! Thanks Kyle!

The service tech, Jesse G., arrived within the scheduled 1 hour window. He stated what the service entailed and proceeded to perform the maintenance service. Upon completing, he went over the condition and status of the Heating and Venting equipment, and in 3-4 months, they would return to service the AC when the weather was warmer. I received my report, and he was on to his next assignment, leaving me a very satisfied customer.

I called in the morning for a whistling sound that was coming from our furnace. They set up an appointment for the same day! Thomas Dainard came out on time to check to see what it was. It turned out to be a simple fix of a panel having popped out. He knocked it back into place and taped it up. Easy peasy fix. He also checked on an issue that we've been monitoring and assured us it's still in working condition. And lastly, he cleaned our filter for us.
I really appreciated the same day service, as well as the friendly, competent tech they sent out. Our puppy appreciated the attention as well!

Hired this company to check my heating system today (02/05/23) and they sent their guy Thomas Dainard to come check it out. Thomas told me about a bunch of issues after a couple of hours of looking around including the things that need to be fixed straight away along with suggestions for making a my heating system last longer and work more efficiently for a lower gas bill. He also proceeded to go ahead and take a glance at my water heater tank which turns out needed some work soon as well, and he helped me install a nest thermostat. Over all Thomas was helpful and informative.

I ended up joining the ""mvp"" service membership for $100 a year thanks to his service provided. which isn't bad if it does what it's meant to like getting them to check my system a few times a year to male sure all is working accordingly and well maintained.

this review is strictly for Thomas's great customer service so far. but it looks like I'll be using these guys to fix/install a few things here so stay tuned for an update for that part of this business.

Josh came to my home in Lafayette on 1/10/23 for a check up on my furnace. I have a yearly VIP service contract on a furnace Service Champions installed
2 and a half years ago.

Josh was such a gentleman and so personable! He explained everything he was going to be doing to check my furnace and how long it would take.
After about one hour, he informed me everything checked out fine and even asked if there was anything around my home that he could assist me with.

I was very impressed with Josh's professionalism and agreeable personality. I plan to continue with the VIP service contract with Service Champions and
when next I schedule a service checkup, I will definitely ask for Josh Pratt.

We were quoted $850 for a replacement part for our furnace, plus an additional $80 installation fee. We found the same part on Amazon for $65! Hard to trust a company after that.
