This electrician is very dishonest, watch out, buyer beware, what I have learned is if a contractor is available the next day these busy times, it is not a good sign. SId the owner sounded very knowable , BUT HE did not come out to give an estimate before hand as. I told him I had a rectangular fan, He sent two workers, whom would not let me see what they were doing , however I have learned you get what you inspect not what you expect. Sid asked for my credit card ,he wanted money up front, but he keep the numbers and charged twice as much as I agreed to. He said his guys worked by the hour and I was there to know when they came and left, and he called to make sure they took lunch,
Only one guy worked, the other just stood and watched, Am I paying for training? Switching out one Ceiling fan which was rectangular with a square one which did not cover the hole, and he knew it was rectangular, said it would need a different type of breaker, he never installed. Long and short of it he wanted over $2,000 dollars and one guy went through my ceiling which now needs to be patched he also wouldn't talk on the phone after, I tried to call and ask him for the info on the fan, I have always received the paperwork on the products from any other qualified person.
He took it with him, I have no warranties now.

Sattler Electrical Service was great. My mother has a very old home and Sid came out to do the initial inspection and provided us a very thorough review. I hired his team to replace the kitchen electrical wires. His crew didn't complain at all when they had to crawl under the house to get to the kitchen. I emailed via Yelp several electricians in the area because I wasn't clear if we needed an electrician to fix a wiring issue or a person to fix our dishwasher. Sattler not only responded within a few hours, but they were the only business that responded extensively about what the issue likely was (not electrical) and provided an alternative referral for an appliance repair business. In addition Sattler provided contact info if we needed to follow up with any questions; and gave clear rates for if we did need to hire them. Although we don't need an electrician we definitely will use them in the future if we do! It's rare that a business will be up front with you about pricing and be honest about your needs--especially if it means that they won't get your business in that instance. Called Sid at 3:30 Saturday. I was helping a friend that had an issue with her heater not working. After testing some things I found it may be something with the breaker panel. Sid walked me through a few troubleshooting steps. The PGE man noticed no electricity coming to the outlet and I told Sid and he said he will be down in a few minutes. He came within a half hour brought a spare breaker. He did some tests found the breaker bad replaced it and the heater turned on! All in less than an hour! Thank you Sid for saving my friend from being in the cold over the weekend!

Sid was very responsive to my call, he was actually one of the 6 that I called to communicate (One other company texted me back saying he was booked at this time). Sid was upfront with the pricing and emailed my confirmation before he came out and broke down the cost. I was having problems with my production room cooling units which we determined was an electrical problem and not a refrigeration issue. Sid determined the problem for me and gave me a few options including showing me what the issue was and how to fix it. I went the route of fixing the issue myself with his guidance and help. I will be keeping Sattler Electric on file for further needs and emergencies. I had a good experience with them; good people.
