We have used San Diego Superior Electric in the past for a number of jobs on our vacation rental. Most recently it was to install some energy efficient can lights, and to add two new circuits. As always, they showed up on time, and did the work in a timely (and neat!) fashion. I work out of town, so much of our correspondence is via the telephone. Bart is always there to field a question or concern, and always promptly returns my calls if I leave a message (he's usually in an attic somewhere!!) In my experience it's actually pretty hard to find both trustworthy and skilled service people, so I feel extremely fortunate to have these guys as our electricians.

I had an appointment to have an electrician(Bart) to give us an estimated quote for our studio we are expanding and need ceiling lights, fans, and wall outlets in. Initially, I had the appointment for Friday at 10:30AM and I also gave him our Directors number but advised that unless I told him otherwise, he would be meeting me, not her and I would let him know; I never contacted him to deal with her. Yet he still called my Director, according to him he called my Director and left a message that he couldn't make it but never spoke to anyone to confirm cancellation. Since I didn't receive a call, I still showed up Friday. I called him and he explained what happened without an apology and his tone of voice sounded as if he didn't care, and every time I spoke with him he didn't even seem fully engaged in what I was saying, if he can't follow simple instructions (Call me, not her, unless I call you to do so) then how can I trust him with construction. To give him the benefit of the doubt since people do make mistakes we rescheduled for today, Tuesday, at 12:30PM. I was there at 12:25PM, I called him at his number (619)857-7784 at 1:48PM because I understand not everything goes according to plan and sometimes people forget, something happens so I gave over an hour and 15 minutes extra to our appointment time to at least contact me. He did not show up, nor did he call to communicate he would not be able to make it. It's now almost an hour past the time I called him and two hours past our appointment and I still do not know what's going on. ***I WROTE THIS TWO HOURS AFTER I HAD ATTEMPTED TO CALL HIM*** but decided that something might have happened so I'll give him more time because I don't want to write a bad review. It's now 12:07AM Wednesday and still he has not contacted me, emailed me, replied to my voicemail or even my director. As a potential client, it makes me feel uneasy to do business with you, refer you to anyone, and I feel disrespected, time wasted, gas wasted, (twice if you want to include Friday which I explicitly said me, not her) and unprofessional business practice. Read other reviews, he's even charged higher than the quoted amount without informing. I will post my recommended Electrician in a week. Beck Electric came out that day after Bart flaked and Martin with Beck Electric seems even more pleasant on the phone and in person. Superior San Diego Electric, might want to rename yourself, to Sub Par San Diego Electric.

I've used this company twice --to install a ceiling fan and replace an ancient outlet --and have been very pleased both times.

The guys were fast and effective. We used them to run a new 220 circuit from our panel to our attic, and to install a new light switch and outlet. They quoted a great price, they stayed within the quote, and their work was top notch. Very happy with them.

These guys are great and exceeded my expectations. I hired them to install an outlet in my garage so I could plug in a chest freezer without having to run an extension cord. They had to install a new outlet where my garage door opener was on the ceiling, tapped in to that, ran conduit across the ceiling and wall, and installed the new outlet right where I wanted it. Their work was neat and professional and the price was reasonable, unlike some of the other ridiculous prices other electricians wanted to charge me. I would hire this company again without hesitation. They are top notch.

This is one of the best cards in my rolodex. I'm in an older house, and Bart & Alex have been here solving electrical problems 4 times. Their work is perfect--and I'm really picky. They're great guys, honest and trustworthy, and I consider their rates very reasonable. Not only that, but they've squeezed into places in my attic and crawlspace where I wouldn't attempt to even go. They don't try to ""up-sell"" you when they look at the job, they just ask you what you want fixed, and they do exactly that. They both have a great attitude, and we've enjoyed having them in our home, but they work really efficiently so they never stay very long. These guys don't waste a minute once they get started---very prompt, responsive, and courteous.

Unfortunately I have to change my opinion of this company. I have had them complete work in my home in the past and referred them on several occasions. However, the last time they were here I was quoted one price then charged a significantly higher price after the job was complete. I was never informed at any point of the price increase. I understand prices can change but I feel you need to tell the customer in advance. It's a shame because they do a good job which accounts for the 3 stars. There are lots of other electricians out there and I do not feel right about supporting a company with questionable business practices.

I had these guys work on a few broken plugs and timer switches. They are good and affordable. Even went above and beyond to fix an outside light that they accidentally broke. Very nice guys.

Bart, Alex and John have done several jobs for us, both at our home and at our rental property. They are always prompt and friendly and really know what they are doing. I am fairly private when it comes to my home so it is not my favorite thing to have ""strangers"" in it. However, these guys are always very kind and respectful and make me feel comfortable having them in my home. They come in, work quickly and quietly, clean up and are on their way. I really like these guys and would absolutely recommend them to everyone. Also, their pricing has always seemed very reasonable to me and I feel like they are very honest in the way they do business.
