Very helpful - had an alarm problem and they were able to guide me to the fix just over the phone, no charge. Granted, the fix was just unplugging it in the attic, but I'd just moved into a condo and wouldn't have known to look there if they hadn't mentioned it.

Bart and Alex recently replaced our entire electrical panel and trenched about 60 feet to provide electricity to our new Jacuzzi.

From the very first day that Bart came to give the estimate, to the final day that Alex came to fix the last issue, I have been nothing but pleased with the service and prices offered by Superior Electric. We had three quotes for the project, and Superior Electric beat out the two competitors by a few hundred dollars. And, Bart was very thorough in his estimate - I could tell he carefully considered every part of the job and didn't just throw out a ballpark figure. In addition, he thoroughly explained all that would need to be done, and was the only electrician to advise me to call SDG & E (something I didn't know I needed to do) to get the process started more quickly.

Bart and Alex are prompt, friendly, and professional. Our new spa is working beautifully, and we're thrilled. You won't go wrong if you choose Superior Electric.

I had 4 outlets that suddenly stopped working yesterday, I found SD Superior Electric here on Yelp and based on the other reviews and their website decided to give them a call.

They were able to schedule me in for the next day (less than 24 hours) and Alex was here right on time.

He found & fixed the problem quickly so I asked him about adding an outlet for me on the patio. He made a quick trip to get the supplies, installed the outlet and even cleaned up after himself. (A perfect fit on the installation of the exterior outlet which had to be cut from the stucco - see the photo! Even with the trip to get supplies he was done in less than 2 hours!

I couldn't be happier. Nice guy, efficient & clean. I highly recommend SD Superior Electric and I already have plans for them to come back to install some can lighting & surround sound equipment for me!

I discovered SD Superior Electric on Yelp and thank goodness! nothing is more stressful then having to find someone to do contractual work on your home. I needed some light switches relocated and installed, as well as a ceiling fan installed. I communicated with Bart via email and response was not timely but he still responded, so half star off for that. he sent me an estimate which I thought was fair for the amount of work needed to be done. I could have done it myself but would have probably set my place on fire!

We scheduled an appt and he sent one of his guys out to do the job. His electrician was friendly and was clean for the most part, he laid down a tarp to catch a lot of the debris and was helpful in explaining what he was doing. half a star off though for cutting some of the holes a little too big which show a little outside of the light switch housing. I know electricians typically don't drywall but this holes could have been cut a little smaller.

overall i'm satisfied with them and would recommend them to a friend. The ceiling fan was installed perfectly and I haven't had any problems at all!

From my experience, THE BEST ELECTRICIAN IN TOWN.

We had a complete house renovation project and I needed an electrician that was solid and reasonably priced. I turned to Yelp first and found Bart. We did a pretty good amount of electrical in the home: installing recessed lighting, rerouting a bunch of outlets, adding a bunch of lighting, etc. etc. Also, the previous owner of the house we were working on pretty much did everything wrong so we had Bart go through the house and bring everything to code. Just like all the other reviews, he did an impressive job. The work was quick and looks very professional.

What I like about Bart the most, aside from the great electrical work that he does, is that he is really accessible if you need anything from him, he's easy to communicate with, and I feel that he will give me a fair deal. Finding any professional in any facet the construction industry with those 3 attributes are nearly impossible to find. He's definitely the electrician I will call for future projects.

Reasonable guys, they give an estimate and stick to the price- do a nice job and clean up after they leave- big plus. I always trust that they know electrical code and will do things the right way- I had a large attic fan install and so far no hitches, I had no idea this was an option and it was a great idea for small property instead of central air, green option as well. I came to SD Superior Electric through Yelp- so it worked for me!

As someone with some rental units I have had a fair amount of experience trying to find electricians for projects large and small. I've had few good experiences. I'd definitely rate Bart Blakely and his SD Superior Electric business one of the good experiences. He is prompt in responding to calls, follows up carefully on jobs and keeps you informed. A true Yelp success story ... seriously, it's like pulling teeth to find a good electrician, plumber, handyman, etc. in this town, and we've gone through too many. I thought that Yelp might be a good place to start, not expecting much because there aren't a lot of electricians listed on here.

Anyway, we found Bart's company here on Yelp and it had two good reviews. From the existing reviews, we saw that Bart had a ""good work ethic"" and this was important to us when we needed a partial re-wire of our commercial kitchen and new wiring associated with a hood installation and more.

First, we had one electrician come out who was recommended by another vendor ... he had a lower price, but he was unresponsive to our calls (he took seven days to call us back and he thought that was acceptable). He also had that know-it-all attitude that makes us both ill, so we decided he wasn't a good fit.

In contrast, Bart was incredibly responsive to our needs and really seemed to be into our project. He came out to our location, gave a thorough and accurate estimate, and even some suggestions on other items we should look at.

We chose Bart and we couldn't have been happier with his work ... he enjoys what he does and cares about doing an excellent job for his customers. If only he did plumbing, too ... still can't find a good plumber!

Had a very small job with just a few light fixtures acting up. Bart was on time and helpful in addressing the problems, very nice guy to deal with. I haven't had a great deal of experiences with electricians but I would definitely recommend SD Superior Electric to anyone in the future if you need a job done.

Having lived in an old house undergoing renovation, I've got plenty of experience with contractors of all kinds - and my experience with SD Superior Electric definitely goes down as one of the most pleasant experiences I've ever had.

I wanted two ceiling fans installed in my apartment - nothing fancy, wire run up the wall, no cutting required. A bigger electrician quoted me a rate that seemed really excessive (I'd had a new breaker box installed & pretty extensive rewiring done in an old house for what they wanted to charge me). I called up SDSE figuring their rate couldn't possibly be any higher. Bart came out the day after I called, and his quote was less than HALF of the first charge (it's a small company without a fleet of trucks and high advertising costs) . We scheduled for the next week - I nearly fainted. Pleasant, quick service without a run around? Could this be possible?

It was, in fact. Bart & Alex showed up right on schedule, were exceedingly pleasant, and installed my ceiling fans with a minimum of muss and fuss. Even better, they didn't leave my apartment in shambles! I couldn't be more pleased with the job & the price. I wouldn't hesitate to call San Diego Superior Electric again & will cheerfully recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician that isn't going to gouge you and/or turn their nose up at a job that's not giant. Professional, pleasant, timely, and reasonably priced - I really couldn't ask for more.
