I agree with all many other reviews - Readily available, professional acting/looking techs but WAY too pricey. After consulting with other companies, I am not even sure SALT techs knew their trade well. HVAC service evaluation did not even look at evaporator coils (needed to open unit) and seemed to miss capacitor that needed replacing. Electrician ran a wire and needlessly used 8/3 wire with ground when it only called for 8/2 with a ground.
I wish I read YELP before I even called them.

Let me start with the good things - they are super responsive, professional, courteous and easy to work with. They really seem to know what they are doing and they spent a lot of time explaining everything to me.
Bad side - their quotes are very high. I was quoted $600 by another electrician to install several lights; SALT quoted me $1800. They quoted me $10,000 to replace two panels that were part of a recall that only required a minor repair. I spoke with another electrician and he said they are charging three times what most electricians charge.

First off let me say that their technicians are super professional and courteous. Probably the best interaction with service techs you'll ever have. No issues there.

The problem is they use a pricing sheet for their services regardless of how hard or easy the work is. And it rarely works to the customer's advantage. I had a couple of outside outlets that were out and a outside light that was out. I suspected a breaker issue. It was a gfci breaker and I know those can cost a little more than a basic breaker, but they take a split second to install. So I expected 2-300 for that repair. I had a Salt technician come out look at the outlets for a second, plug a tester in that showed no power to the outlets and then quote me 550ish for the repair. Didn't check power at the breaker box or anything. So it wasn't really a diagnosis of what was really going on since they didn't trace back where in the circuit the power was still working. It would've take another couple of seconds to do that, but I wasn't done.
So it could've been a bad breaker, a bad outlet in the circuit, bad wiring, etc. But they just priced it as the most expensive possible fix and would've charged me that much regardless of how hard or easy the fix truly was.
Since I wasn't ready to drop that much without knowing what was really wrong, I went out and bought an outlet tester and a voltage tester and checked the outlet, which of course didn't have power. But the breaker that I thought was the culprit was hot. I pulled off the outlet and the wires were hot, so I knew it was either a bad outlet or a miswired outlet.
It ended up being an incorrectly wired outlet that was affecting the rest of the circuit, so that's why the other outlets weren't working. It ended up taking me about 30 minutes of diagnostic time and 10 minutes to fix. No cost in materials. Not exactly what I would call an over $500 job like they were planning on charging me...
Again, the techs are super friendly and the service is professional. But the flat rate charging they do is a complete rip off and they definitely lost a customer. Which is unfortunate for them because I used them previously for a hot tub job that got them over $1,000 in business, and had planned on using them for other things in the future.
If you have money to burn and care mainly about customer service and a good quality job, then they're great. But if your like me and you live paycheck to paycheck and care about service, but also care about not being overcharged, then find another service provider.

Over $700 for a straightforward breaker box repair that took about two minutes. To be clear, that's more money than my little store has earned all week. I will say the technician was courteous, showed up on time, and knew his stuff, but I absolutely feel swindled by this company.

After suddenly being trapped behind our automated gate one morning, we knew something was up with our older home's electrical system.

After liberating ourselves from the property, we did some research on the way to H-E-B on electricians and quickly found SALT. Boy are we glad we did!

From the very first interaction over the phone we knew we made the right choice. They had excellent customer service, kept us informed, and had availability that worked for us.

Seth came out to visit us, and explained how SALT works, and what their goals are as a provider. They inspected the entire electrical system, and within minutes identified the issue and recommended a number of choices to fix our issue and safeguard our home.

Less than a week later, more friends from SALT arrived, Greg was the leader, and completed the work. They were professional, friendly, and cleaned up after themselves.

While they may be on the pricier side of the spectrum, you definitely get what you pay for! Since then we have had them back to help us move a dryer plug, and our experience was perfection yet again. Highly recommend SALT - be sure to ask for Seth

I had a team come to my house to complete the grounding process. They offered to sign me up for some sort of membership program that comes with some benefits but charges a monthly fee. I declined. A couple months later I noticed a recurring charge to my credit card for this membership program. I called and verified with the receptionist that I had never agreed to the program. She apologized and said she would remove me and refund the money. I looked at my credit card statement again this month and they are continuing to charge me for this. I am beyond angry about this.

I called salt electric because my generac transfer switch shorted out. They told me that they didn't install it so they wanted $5700.00 to replace it. The switch is un warranty. They listed $2750.00 for the transfer switch 960.00 on Amazon Thats $1800. Labor $1750.00 to reword generator. Why?? $560.00 for ground wire. $50.00 at Home Depot that's $500.00 for 15 minutes labor $960.00 for 2 load switches that are $150.00 each at Amazon that's $660.00 labor. To me thats screwing you're customer when it's unSer warranty confirmed by Generac Don't recommend and don't trust. Would probably be paid again by Generac

Overpriced, overpriced and overpriced! Called for a simple light repair under my cabinets and they wanted 500 just to diagnostic this problem and then 600 for a new light. I looked up the light and it's 150-200 and I called another place that will install for 200. They also Quoted for 14 led light bulbs for $2000. Never will use them

They examine your entire electric system and then make all these recommendations for work to remedy perceived safety issues. Borderline scam. They want to scare you into upgrading your systems vs performing the work requested. On the actual work you wanted in the first place, their prices are far higher than other companies.

Swindlers! Get a second quote on anything they do. They upsold me on products I didn't need and overcharged for them. They lied about my home being out of code and used fear tactics about the safety of my family. Shame on me for being fooled.
