Day 2. We still have had no resolution. This company over billed us at 900%. Over $1500 for fixtures that cost $35 for a box of 4 fixtures where we were charged $86 per fixture. I learned they even went to HD and purchased them, so they probably bought at an even lower commercial rate, granted, a supposition on my part. Please be aware.

Do your homework BEFORE they do any work. The markup was 900% for some straightforward lighting that was done recently. I believe the technician took advantage of the fact that I was on phone meetings while the deal was being set up.
If you want electrical work done go elsewhere!

I had a short in the crawl space that knocked out several plugs. The fix would require running some new cable and replacing two outlets. The service tech SALT sent estimated the repair at over twenty three hundred dollars AND charged several hundred for the diagnostic work. This was a job I figured would take perhaps fifty bucks worth of cable and parts and five hours max. I hired a real electrician who did the work in three and a quarter hours for less than three hundred dollars, less than one seventh what SALT wanted. Beware!

Worst biz I've ever dealt with. I had a bad breaker, was told there is a $200 after hr charge to respond, ok. Then was called and told, no it's $500, and tech couldn't even tell me if they had the breaker to fix the problem... after I told them make/model. THEN, I was called back a 3rd time to tell me they could get the breaker in from SA next day but it would now be $1,500 +. Complete attempt to price gouge. I called another electrician and he was shocked by SALTS clear attempt to exploite my situation. Btw.. notice how SALTS site has a near perfect rating, but Yelp is no where near that... I can guarantee they are using a service to drive fake reviews to defraud the public. Btw.. the poor SALT tech apologized and told me his company had a bad habit of overcharging... damn sad.. I will be filing a BBB and AG complaint.. DO NOT USE SALT! Run away from this biz, they are dishonest.

Salt came to my home today after I requested service for a malfunctioning GFCI plug and an outlet in my garage that felt warm to the touch. I understood they would be inspecting the entire home, but I did not anticipate that my present problems would not be fixed or addressed when they came out. The service is very misleading and I feel that I was taken advantage of. I also thought the service charge would be $79 and I was charged $89. I could have misunderstood. I do think the term ""service charge"" would imply that they would provide services to fix my current problem. They took an hour just to write everything up. THEY COULD HAVE REPLACED MY MALFUNCTIONING PLUG IN THAT TIME. It was a glorified sales call under the cloak of providing electrical services.

Wow I just about got ""Salted"" but I did not fall for it. Most expensive electrical company around. $550.00 to change out two plugs and do a diagnostic test? They will charge you $89.00 for the trip won't give prices estimates over the phone, When they arrive they try and sell you a yearly maintence contract and then the give you the most outrageous prices I have ever heard of. I lost the $89.00 called customer service to complain. They don't care busy looking for other suckers. Avoid this place unless you like wasting your money! I got the total job done for $200.00 from another company. They should be ashamed.

Seemed like a professional company, but they charged $80 just to give a quote and then the quote was 3x more then other companies quote for the same work. Wouldn't recommend.

Brett was our technician. He was professional, courteous, and knew his stuff. He didn't try to sell us things we didn't need or ask for. We needed work on our smoke & carbon monoxide alarms throughout our house and to install a whole house surge protector. Everything went as we expected and will definitely use Salt for our electrical needs.

This was the first time I used SALT, and I was extremely pleased. I selected them because of great reviews from others in my Home Owners group and I was not disappointed. They were prompt, wearing masks, and installed 2 outdoor light fixtures and replaces several outlets that needed it. Thanks to Matt and Scott - I will definitely call them again.

I paid the $79.00 for the service call but their bids for minor work and for a new box were double the quotes we had already received. But very nice men.
