Five room mini-split system started with a fully detailed estimate.

* The team showed up when scheduled. Every time.
* Team members worked consistently and steadily each day, taking off only for lunch and small, occasional breaks.
* The employees worked together and communicated well in order to accomplish the end goal of full installation.
* Unlike another company working on different project, they did not hoot, holler, goof off, curse, hold burping contests or speak to me as if I were a moron because I do not work in the same industry as they do.
* They kept me updated on what was to be done each day, what had been done and what was expected to be done the next day.
* They were respectful of the home in ways that I have not witnessed from any other company for at least 40 years, in that they protected flooring, wiped their feet every time they entered the house, kept debris to a minimum by drilling slowly and carefully (something I had never even thought was possible before) and ALWAYS swept up what little debris there was. These things may seem small to a tradesman but are sometimes a big deal to a homeowner.

We recently used Rob's for a set of a/c units that had clogged drip pans. They were recommended by a friend who has also used them for repairs.

We called on a Monday, and I think they came out next day or maybe on day two. Pretty responsive considering it was August.

The technician came out, figures out the issue and fixed the problem...clogged drainage pipe. Fee was reasonable. He gave us some tips to keep it from happening again.

Easy peezy. I'm never excited about AC fixes but this was painless. I'd use them again.

I am thoroughly impressed with the people at Rob's AC. First and foremost, they have some of the most considerate and helpful technicians. They worked to keep my original unit running way past it's life span. I got an additional 5 years out of a challenged HVAC unit with their help and knowledge of the equipment. When the unit finally reached a point where the repairs outweighed the cost benefits, they offered a much more efficient unit for a great price. They said it would take a day to install, and they made it happen. I was impressed that the installers showed up, worked all day long on one of the hottest days up in my sweltering attic, and did not leave until they had finished the job. What impressed me even more was that they kept a great attitude while doing it. Then after the installation, they sent one of their best technicians to follow up and make sure everything was done correctly. IT WAS PERFECT! I also want to say that their office staff are some of the nicest and most caring people. They make sure they schedule the appointments in a timely manner, and they always follow up to make sure that I'm aware when a technician is on the way. They are easy to talk to and willing to answer any questions. I have been very impressed with the entire team at Rob's AC, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Rob's installed a brand new Daiken HVAC system and duct work in my, at the time, gutted house in 2017. I have since had to completely remove the entire HVAC system, and gut and mold remediate all of my ceilings because there were holes torn all through the duct work, it was causing massive condensation issues inside of a drop ceiling and created a wet box for mold growth. The indoor furnace unit was DRIPPING wet and rusting after less than two years of use. The AC condensation line was left to drip directly onto the dirt underneath my raised house and when I was concerned about the weeds and puddle and mosquito farm it had created, their employee George was exasperated with me for asking him to run a piece of PVC to drain it into an existing French drain. They installed a ceiling vent directly in front of/above my front door, which is a known no-no. The numerous times I called the company back and worked with Rob's son Steve (the manager), to help figure out how to combat the humidity and condensation, they all talked down to me and acted like I was stupid and crazy when the humidity wouldn't get below 65-70% indoors. They also repeatedly blamed the problems on me for having had spray foam insulation installed. I couldn't get it below 65-70% humidity mind you, with the AC running set to 68 and WITH TWO separate dehumidifying units running 24/7 and dumping 4 gallons of water every 8 hours. It took about $100,000 to remediate and replace their work.

Been using Rob's for the past few years and absolutely have been pleased. They offer a maintenance contract that others charge double for. All the technicians that have come to my house have been extremely professional and knowledgeable. Thanks for the great service!

While they were working on a simple fix, they decided to work on a wire live, as I am sitting and watching them they fry the circuit and thousands of dollars in electronics. They then denied it! The owner bragged about knowing how the BBB worked and that I wouldn't be able to prove it. I watched it happen! They refused to pay for anything. I asked that they just not profit from something that cost me so dearly. They refused that as well and gave nothing but denials and terrible excuses. I was disgusted. I highly recommend staying away from this company.

I have a very old unit in my house. Rob's AC has been keeping it running for the last 3 years. They never pressure me to replace it or over sell me services. When it's time to replace it I'll definitely call Rob's AC out.

There's a saying ""You get what you pay for"", and it could not be more true with Rob's. My wife and I bought a house a few years back (yes, I'm just getting to this review because a friend was asking about who I went with, so it brought up the bad memories), and we'd put a lot down on the house, but needed an A/C. So with a few calls, we weighed our options and went with the cheapest - Rob's.

Well, JFC let me tell you. We had not yet moved into the house, we were doing some painting, had a couple things in there, but not much. They said it'd take 2 days to install and would be ready on Monday, so I go to check things out on Monday after giving them 2 days alone to do what they needed to do.

I arrived at about 7a.m. to find that nobody that my front door had been left open all night. There were cigarette butts EVERYWHERE on my lawn (I don't smoke). Walked into the house to discover that they had dropped a box of nails and that, instead of picking them up, they just walked in and pitted the nail heads into my hardwood floors.

I looked up to discover that they had installed the return RIGHT IN FRONT THE FRONT DOOR - every A/C guy I've had come over since breaths a collective sigh and ""WTF"" - this is a big no-no.

They were to build a furldown to run some AC into the back room of the house, which has a flat roof. Where they were to build the furldown, I had a TV sitting in the corner. Rather than move the TV, the sawed through the wall and let all the sawdust fall into the TV - had to throw it away or risk fire hazard.

You know the saying ""Measure twice, cut once"" - well, Rob's doesn't get that. Couple of spots were vents were put in have damage because they started sawing in the wrong spot.

Oh, and the AC was not installed. SO I call them up and say ""WTF"", Rob's son who now runs the company (aka the head d-bag) says they need an extra day. OK, but what about my front door being left wide open - and I ask where my key is? The guys took the key. I made Rob's give me money off the install to pay for having brand new locks put on the door.

Finally, the AC is installed, but it's running hot. They call out a technician - the only guy who actually knew his stuff. He said two things 1) There's a gaping hole in the duct which is why the AC is running hot - it's just drawing in air from the attic. 2) The return they installed was too small for the size of the system, so it was sucking up air like a friggin asthmatic elderly person. 3) He suggests a second return in the middle of the house where the first return should've been installed in the first place. So I say go for it.

Well, then Rob's P.O.S. son and his mother start calling me saying that if they're going to do the second return, they're going to charge me. Well, I said your technician who was the only guy I've met from Rob's who seems like he has his head on his shoulders said it was necessary and that I also had a second company come out and confirm. Rob's Mom (in the most misspelled email ever) proceeds to tell me how they know best and have the education to back it up and the tech doesn't (I should mention some other things racially charged here Rob and his mom are white, the tech looked like ya boy from Green Mile).

Well, after threatening legal action, they agree to do the second return. Months later, I also discover that they did not follow code (big surprise) on the disposal of condensation from the unit. They are supposed to tie that in to a drain line, which they did not do. And if you don't tie into a drain line, you're supposed to run an outside line to a bed of rocks or something. Yeah, didn't do that either. They just ran this pipe down the side of my house to drip down my bricks onto bare ground - a termite oasis.

This was the worst company I've ever dealt with. I kept calling them about that pipe on the side of my house and they refused to return a phone call. But they do call every now and then to ask about coming out to do maintenance. I finally gave them a piece of my mind on the last call and asked to put on my file ""F y'all, never call me again"".

Seriously, call anybody else if you need A/C work.

When fryin....call Bryan (504-208-2071) because Rob and his team are just incompetent, rude and will cheat you out of every dollar they can. Took them half of a Saturday to unclog a drain pan ($400 charge) to then say the compressor wasn't working. That was incorrect (check out my review of Bryan's United for what was really going on). When they couldn't complete the repair on Saturday, we were told they'd be back at 7:00 on Monday. We called at 7:30 and were told they'd be back after 3:00 because we had customers ahead of us. How does a customer get ahead of you when your orig apt was not completed. Stuff happens but when you tell lies about why you are not doing what you say ten get an attitude when called out for it then you've got to check yourself. Really.....Avoid this bunch of rude, arrogant and ignorant folks.
