We specialize in small to medium electrical projects and service work; home, corporate, and factory. We take pride in addressing difficult or unusual projects. Boasting over three decades experience, we have established a reputation for customer plus compliance contentment.
Home: New installations, upgrades. Energy, lighting, communication, home automation, backup generators, water pump management.
Corporate: Power, light fixtures, power conditioning, telecommunication.
Manufacturing: Motor installation plus management; system setup plus management; light fixtures.
We stay until the task is complete until it is done right.
Moved out of Berkeley into Sonoma County in 1979. Dedicated to serving this region, from the Bay Area to Mendocino County, ever since. Consistently a small shop providing personalized service.
I am from California. My earliest recollection from my childhood involves electrical work (a hairpin incident). That sparked my interest. Immediately after finishing college from UC Berkeley in 1977, I launched my own electrical company, and have continued ever since. With my wife Kate, we raised four fantastic children here in Sonoma County. Currently we have chickens in our backyard.

Two Cent S.Ken was referred to me by a friend in the trades, and I am so grateful! He has been working diligently to do several upgrades on my house including replacing the main circuit breaker box/circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, and light switches. In the process he has also been finding and correcting some very questionable wiring. Ken's attention to detail is ultimately making my home a much safer environment, and I feel incredibly lucky to know he won't let anything slip through the cracks. Knowing that he will take the extra time to make sure the job is done right is reassuring beyond belief. Ken is also more than willing to explain what is going on which is very comforting and helpful. His attention to detail is impressive and I really can't say enough good things about him.
Doug S.Ken is smart, efficient, neat, and on-time. He isn't the electrician that you'd want if you were wiring 25 houses in a development and wanted him to come in $200 less than the next guy. He IS the guy you would want on a custom home or remodel when you wanted everything to be done absolutely right and the job site presentable at the end of the day. If I had an inspector coming in 3 hours and an issue to be fixed, there is no one I'd rather have working on the job than Risling.
He's the best electrician I know about and I had tried quite a few before I found him. I use him on all my remodels.
