We handle modest to moderate electrical installations as well as repair jobs; residential, business, and factory. We relish tackling complex plus unusual tasks. Boasting 35 years expertise, we've built a reputation for consumer plus compliance approval.
Residential: New installations, remodels. Energy, light fixtures, data/phone, remote home control, standby generators, pump/well control.
Business: Energy, light fixtures, power conditioning, communication.
Factory: Motor deployment plus control; process installation as well as operation; illumination.
We remain until the task is complete to ensure quality.
Relocated from Berkeley into Sonoma in the late 70s. Dedicated to serving Northern California, covering the Bay Area to the North Coast, continuously. Always a small shop delivering individual attention.
Being a California Native. My earliest recollection at age 2 is about electrical work (a hairpin incident). That sparked my interest. As soon as finishing college college (UC Berkeley 1977), I started my own electrical company, and never looked back. With Kate, my partner, we raised four amazing children here in Sonoma County. Now we have chickens.

Two Cent S.Ken was referred to me by a friend in the trades, and I am so grateful! He has been working diligently to do several upgrades on my house including replacing the main circuit breaker box/circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, and light switches. In the process he has also been finding and correcting some very questionable wiring. Ken's attention to detail is ultimately making my home a much safer environment, and I feel incredibly lucky to know he won't let anything slip through the cracks. Knowing that he will take the extra time to make sure the job is done right is reassuring beyond belief. Ken is also more than willing to explain what is going on which is very comforting and helpful. His attention to detail is impressive and I really can't say enough good things about him.
Doug S.Ken is smart, efficient, neat, and on-time. He isn't the electrician that you'd want if you were wiring 25 houses in a development and wanted him to come in $200 less than the next guy. He IS the guy you would want on a custom home or remodel when you wanted everything to be done absolutely right and the job site presentable at the end of the day. If I had an inspector coming in 3 hours and an issue to be fixed, there is no one I'd rather have working on the job than Risling.
He's the best electrician I know about and I had tried quite a few before I found him. I use him on all my remodels.
