I had to use Remedy Electric again due to a power outage issue. I had to call them very early in the morning. They responded right away and Michael was able to come the same day to look at the problem. He diagnosed the problem after troubleshooting different areas and went through extra mile to put the gate back together. Thank you for great service. Michael is very professional and efficient. Thank you !

Remedy electric was so professional and friendly. They were a pleasure to work with! Their prices are very competitive and super reasonable. They provided the electric hook ups for my W/D installation and they provided electricity and installed lights on my business street sign. They even let my crazy dogs jump all over them and didn't seem bothered by it, instead they laughed and played with the dogs and helped me get them outside into the yard. The family behind Remedy Electric is so kind and I will recommend them to everyone!

I am a retired lady on a fixed income. I had a week of if any thing could go wrong it did. My microwave blew out and caused havoc with the outlets in my kitchen. Teresa (sorry if I misspelled your name) was so patient and pleasant on the phone with me. I live in a mobile home which is older and the breakers in my house are out dated and hard to find. She called her head electrician who not only found the breaker but traveled that day to pick it up so it would be on the truck and they would have service out that afternoon. I thought Teresa was so nice and that continued on with the service men that came out. Nice, friendly, and answered any and all questions I asked no matter how senseless they were. They worked quickly and even gave me choices to save me money. I have not dealt with a company this nice, competent, and fairly priced in so very long. It turned a bad morning into a very pleasant afternoon. I just can't say enough good things about my experience with this Company. I had picked them at random because they were here in Leander and I like dealing locally. The bonus to that was my excellent service. Companies that treat you this nice are few and far between. Good service with a smile. Thank you Remedy!

A couple weeks ago my upstairs sink overflowed and leaked through the floor and set off the smoke detectors. We were able to clean up the water and turn off the smoke detectors but I was concerned there might have been damage to the wiring that could cause a hazard. I called a few other companies that had been recommended and even though I told them I was worried this was a potential fire hazard, they were all just too busy to get someone out quickly. One said they could get someone out on the following Tuesday, another said they could get someone out in two weeks (!) and another literally just called me back a couple of days ago. I finally (thankfully!) called Remedy and Teresa immediately recognized that this was an issue that needed to be checked out sooner rather than later. Like all the other companies, the Remedy electricians were very busy, but she reworked the schedule of one of her electricians and got him out within a couple of hours. He quickly diagnosed that the damage was only to the smoke detector, which was a relief, and also discovered that four of the six smoke detectors weren't connected to the system at all (we had just moved into the house and weren't aware), so he took care of that too. I would absolutely call Remedy again.

Michael and Kevin quoted me $445 for a job. Showed up early, devised a simpler solution, then knock it out in less than an hour. The total bill was $288. They exceeded expectations. I highly recommend them.

On Friday, half of the electricity to our house went out. Unfortunately, that half included the air conditioning system. In Texas during the summer, that is SERIOUS BUSINESS. I called a bunch of electricians and no one could come out that day. I found Remedy Electric and left a voicemail. They called back right away, were very sympathetic, and had someone to my house within 30 minutes. Michael was immensely helpful. He showed me the problem with our fusebox and had everything fixed within a few hours. They were friendly and helpful and saved my weekend. Two thumbs up!

If only I could give 10 stars! I had a bit of a scary breaker situation and had called several companies to come out. Most didn't call back and one told me they wouldn't touch it, that it was too big of a job for him to do today, but that it needed to be fixed immediately (thanks, guy. Super helpful.) You can imagine my state of mind when Michael called me back and said he would make it out to me today. He showed up when he said he would, was quick to diagnose the problem (which wasn't nearly as frightening as that other guy made it out to be), very professional and super polite on top of it all. HIGHLY recommend Remedy Electric. These are my go-to guys from now on. Thank you, Michael!

So i just want to start off with a comment on a previous post. I have never had an electrician come out for free. Electricians and plumbers always charge for their time to review the problem and come up with an answer. I do not like it, but since they all do it, and all charge about the same amount for it, and I have no choice because those are things I cannot do myself, until I make a best friend who can change a breaker without causing more bad than good I pay the fee.

I thought the fee from Remedy was reasonable, the work was done quickly, a discount was given on bulk items which was nice. They were available when I needed them which was the same day since my breaker kept tripping and I needed a new one. They forsaw other problems I would have and fixed those in the same trip. And even came back the next day to change out some outlets for me. I had bought a bunch of outlets that had USB ports on them, so they replaced about 20 outlets around my house.

The service was friendly, not snobby like others I have dealt with in the past. Very straight forward, explained what he was doing, even gave me a quick lesson on the different kind of breakers (at my request). And when I had multiple other trades going at the same time, he just worked on his thing and kept plugging along. He even added an outlet and helped me hang a clock in my bathroom cleanly so that I did not have to have a ugly cord running across the wall.

These are my electricians from now on. I would not call anyone else.

Tried to contact Remedy Electric today for a rough quote for some electric work that we needed done in our backyard. We had an above ground pool installed and required a junction box at the sight of the pool.

I was told by Teresa, and I quote, ""We do not provide free Estimates, the fee will be 50.00 dollars This will allow the electrician to Determine what is needed to give you the price, If you accept the Estimate, at the Compilation of Project the 50.00 Dollars will be removed if charged.""

I'm really shocked. Of the twenty-two companies with certified and bonded professionals I contacted, today, all of them gave me a rough quote, and every single one of them offered to come and provide a true quote at no charge. I'm just really surprised that this company refuses to be competitive in its own market!

There's no way I would ever entertain future work with a company so disinterested in garnering my business. To not even _try_ to offer something... it just smacks of being completely disinterested, and that's not a good sign in a field where attention to detail, and commitment to perfection is vital!

Strangely surprising, and a complete disappointment.

[Also, whenever a ""professional"" responds so illiterately, that's a bad sign, as far as I'm concerned.]

7/7:

Teresa,
I contacted 21 other companies who do bonded, certified electrical work to get quotes, yes, I did. I did not say that I contacted them solely by phone. In truth, it was a combination of work done through email and by phone. Why that comes as such a shock, I don't know.

Maybe it's just that electronics (like computers and cell phones) are foreign to you, but a lot of us use them to communicate on a daily basis. You seem so confused by the quotation process!

You asked how your competitors knew the particulars of the job? Simple. They asked me.

As I said, I was looking for a rough quote, and got them from several of your competitors without any confusion, or contempt. The top three that I'm workings with-- companies rated higher than yours on both Yelp and Angie's List-- saw your response, and had commentary of their own to add. Like, one said, ""Why doesn't she just try asking those questions beforehand, rather than ranting about them in response!"" While another added, ""How difficult is it to respond in email, like we did?"" It seems like your competitors weren't nearly as confused about having a conversation on the internet. For you, mores the pity.

I'm not looking for a handyman service. I'm looking for an insured company with top-notch professionals. A company committed not only to excellent service, but to doing a job-- not cheaply -- but economically. And, seriously, if you think that's a _bad_ thing... it's really no wonder several of your customers complain about your prices (look it up).

Speaking of looking things up! You might want to look up the word 'slander' in a dictionary (to do this, get in your car, drive down to the public library, ask the librarian what happened to the card catalog, find out they've been out of use for the last ten years, then ask for help on how to do a search on the internet-- I know how much technology confuses you).

You've accused me of maliciously or falsely defaming your company, but what I've done here is simply quote (and verbatim, too) from your response to me on Angie's List. Then I provided my opinion on our communique. Everything that I've posted here has been 100% factual. No lies necessary. Let's face it, lady, I don't have to lie to make you look bad, you do just fine on your own.

By the way, the word you're actually looking for is 'libel', not slander (one is written, while the other is spoken). I get that you have problems with words, though, so.... I think it would really help if you invested in a dictionary (or, and I'll give you this piece of advice for free (despite how valuable my time is!) You can always use dictionary.com. Very handy! Don't worry, no need to thank me!).

Before I go, I had a final word about this ""cheap, cheap, cheap"" thing you keep doing. You said that I said I was looking for the work to be done cheap. Here's what I said in my original Angie's List response: ""I'm hoping it's something we can get done simply and relatively cheaply. You have several specials, and I'm not sure if any of them could be used/combined, but I'd really like to see if I could get a quote for the parts/labor.""

It's sad when a customer can't ask for quality and value without being crudely mocked by the company they came to for service. Why anyone would ever work with you... when they can see, word-for-word, how little respect you have for not only a potential new customer, but for service done at a value, too... is beyond me.
