I have utilized this company for HVAC with mixed results and experiences, which means I should probably look for another company. Probably the dumbest thing they ever did was tell me the Thermostat was not connecting to the Condensing unit, when in reality the technician was looking at the wrong unit for connection (it was the unit next to it). Last week, I had a unit fail and I called for service. I was told I had a technician to arrive the same day. I was surprised but happy to resolve the issue so quickly. No one showed up. 80 degrees plus for patients and staff. I called the next day and spoke with Russell, who said I was not on yesterday's schedule, but put me on Friday's schedule. That did not transpire so I was supposed to be first out (8am) on Monday. I usually don't arrive until 9am, but I was there at 8 for the service tech. At 8:30 I called, spoke to Russell who told me the tech was in transit (and I was the first service call of the day). The tech called after his first service. So why call yourself Reliable, when it should be Un-reliable HVAC.

Problem #1. Reliable never respects customer's time.
1. They provide you a two-hour window, almost never shows up at the 2-hour window. If it happens occasionally where the technician got delayed with their previous job and are running late, I can understand this.
2. I was provided 8am-10am window for a plumbing problem and this is supposed to be the first appointment for the day. They call me at 10am saying they are still waiting to hear from the plumber and unable to provide me an ETA.
Problem #2. I am having hard time trusting Reliable.
1. Previously I had them come check out my air-conditioner, the technician recommend I replace the a/c instead of repairing it. I was told the trip charge for $89.95 would be refunded if I choose to go with them.
2. I signed up with them for comfort as a service - but guess what? Reliable never actually refunded that $89.95 charge.
3. For proof I can provide both my credit card transaction and the comfort as a service that I signed up with them
4. I was going to let this refund issue go as a mistake on their part, but after today when they were still unable to fulfill their promised schedule - I am convinced they simply do not respect you as a customer or your time.
Please do yourself a huge favor and go through the negative reviews about Reliable here before you make the mistake of calling them. When ever you think about calling Reliable, please keep in mind they are totally Unreliable.

We used them twice, once to install a new water heater and once for a gas leak. Their prices are extremely high for the service they do. For example, they were are our house for 1 hour, 20 minutes to unscrew the gas line in four places, put goop on the joint, and screw the pipe back together again. They charged $525. They were at the house approximately 2 hours to install the water heater and charged $325. When I called and questioned these prices, they told me they don't charge by the hour; they charge by the job. Since they price gouge, I would not recommend them to anyone. By the way, the don't tell you the price until they arrive to do the work, even though they have viewed the job beforehand.

Leslie and Max (plumbers) were fantastic! We had multiple issues going on, and Leslie was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly, and informative. We ended up needing to replace our water heater, and she got it draining while she went to pick up the new one so that the replacement took as little time as possible. She also took a look at a leak for us, one that two other people failed to diagnose correctly. She quickly identified the problem, gave us a quote and an estimate of how long it would take to repair, and scheduled the repair on a day that was most convenient for us. She came that day, on time and ready to go, and arranged for another person to come help when the first person was out sick. She and Max worked quickly and thoroughly, and they explained the issue and the repairs so that I knew exactly what was wrong and how they'd fixed it.
Another thing about Reliable -- they cleaned up after themselves! They had to saw through drywall, and all of the dust and mess was cleaned up by the time they left. They used drop cloths too. I also appreciated that everyone was masked and that they called 15 minutes before they came.

I had a leak from the upstairs toilet that came through the kitchen sink. I had a plumber come out to ""fix"" it. It started leaking again. My friend recommended Reliable so I called them. They sent Matt Cytolski out to check it out. He thoroughly explained what was happening and gave me options to fix the problem. He then did an excellent repair job. No more leaking. I will definitely be using Reliable again.

Had multiple problems with the kitchen sink - leaking water from the faucet intake, dripping into the cabinet underneath, an object in disposal, ancient water shut-off valves no longer working.
Max C. arrived at the beginning of the time window, masked, courteous and friendly, and clearly knowledgeable. He fixed everything promptly and effectively, and we are happy with his work.
More generally about Reliable - don't know about some of the recent negative reviews. Our experience with the company has been good. We have two HVAC systems and a water heater they installed for us back in 2013, along with some rewiring to our electrical panel to support them (house was built in the '40s). At that time, they gave us a great quote, and we had a good install experience. We have the annual service contract, and the systems are all working fine eight years later.

This company only cares about money and a way to bill you for more work that you don't need. When you have a problem they will come up with unnecessary things to charge you for. They will not even focus on what you need them to fix. You can have a crack in a line and they will try to have you buy a whole new air conditioner. And then they will have a attitude with you if you tell them just fix what I'm asking you to fix. If you can find another company I definitely suggest finding another company. I've used this company for several things and every time it was and up charge for additional things and I still had to find another company to fix the problem.

I wish I had seen all the negative reviews for this company I would have never had them in my home. Call for an emergency plumbing issue and it took them all day to get to my home, then the technician finally came he might have spent 2 minutes in my garage chapped the pipe and immediately said your septic tank is full. He didn't do anything else he spent the next 15 minutes looking for my septic tank to show me where my septic tank was. I unecessarily spent $350 for a septic company to come out and tell me that my septic tank did not need to be pumped and the issue with my clogged pipes are in my home. I called Reliable back. They were all so apologetic I was told that they would make it right. So when they finally came back out then tech. tell me oh you have roots in your pipes he was 99% sure that was the issue. They wanted to charge me $1,200 but they would give me $350 credit and charge me $800. Needless to say I called another company and they unclog my pipes for $375 and there were no roots in my pipes. And I guess since I didn't give them any more money they didn't feel the need to make it right anymore. If I can give negative Stars I would, but the website makes you give them at least one. Which is not deserved.
This company really needs to rethink their name RELIABLE, NOT BY A LONG SHOT.

Hands down the most unprofessional, unRELIABLE company I have ever encountered. Absolute garbage customer service. I've used them over 10 times in the last two years, to keep giving them chances, but I can't justify their horrible work any longer. It really is a shame! Numerous no shows and wrong appointment times in their system. They've sent me inexperienced techs that have come at the wrong times without any tools. The issues go on and on... I've lost countless hours having to call them but they kept sending techs several times over the same issues that never got resolved. Please read the REAL reviews on here and don't waste your money or time with this company!

We have been a happy Reliable customer for many years. We purchased our systems from them and have used them to service our units regularly. Before Christmas we found a leak mark on our ceiling under the attic HVAC unit and called them. The tech came out and determined that the leak was from their improper installation of the unit. He could not fix it, but promised that their install team would call me to schedule a repair. After they didn't call, I called and explained what was needed. The representative promised to have the install team call. They didn't. After waiting again, I called and they made the same promise to call back. Again, they didn't. Because we have previously been happy with their service, I gave them one more opportunity by sending the info to their website contact section. I was called the same day by the customer service mgr and he apologized and promised a call back the same day with a resolution. That was last week and we still haven't had any contact from Reliable on the issue. We love Trane units, but strongly do not recommend Reliable.
