Let me just say, this company is awesome. They arrive when they say they will. And most of all jereme, just fixed my heat, and it was a difficult job. He never gave up,it seems it had a few issues. Not easy to figure out.
I am grateful for his manners, determination, and hard work.
Thank you so much
Lacey

I had delayed writing a negative review of unReliable in order to allow them time to rectify the problems with our A/C system. An unseasonably warm Georgia December has caused that time to expire.
We had a previous problem with a new furnace years ago and an office manager that was a family member created an awful experience so I was hesitant about using this company again. But their price for a new AC and furnace was substantially less than competitors. In addition, we were assured that the office manager had left the company and I would not have that concern. My wife and I had joked for over ten years ""there goes unReliable"" every time we saw one of the vehicles. But due to price we chose to use this company.
After about a year of service we had a maintenance call for the routine checkup and the technician came out and added some type of oil that was related to a Trane service note (this was subsequently explained to me) because they had installed defective systems that needed to be patched by installing this oil. After this was done the technician seemed to have a lot of problems that he didn't seem very forthcoming about and it took him quite a few hours before he completed what I'd expected to be 1-2 hour appointment. Since that time our AC system has not held a coolant charge for more than a few weeks at a time. They replaced a coil that is one of the major components of the system, have had the person that was identified to me as the Quality Assurance Manager out twice (although he did not recall having been to our home on the 2nd trip), seem not to have accurate records of what has previously been done and in general seem to have no idea or interest in correcting our situation. I've asked on several occasions to speak with the owner and that has always been deflected to some manager or other department.
Now quite a few months later, many service calls and a tremendous amount of frustration I felt that I had to rate this company's performance on Yelp where we had viewed information as part of our decision process. So I will sum up by advising that you avoid doing business with this company if at all possible.
I have given a 1 Star rating across the board primarily because there is no category for a lower rating.

Reliable exceeded my expectations by a lot - solved my problem in a tight time frame and for a fair price. Customer service was efficient and pleasant, Electrical Department manager did a great job of covering my issue by phone so that he could send the right technician. The technician was outstanding, he worked hard on a complex issue, found the solution and fixed my problem. All of this was done with each person exhibiting a great attitude. Over the last 6 months we have had contractors of every specialty in our house for a major renovation. I wish I had called Reliable before. They will be my first call going forward.

Wanted $179.00 for a part that OEM retails for $35 with shipping included, plus $89.95 for a service call charge. To elaborate ~ Their service rep ignored me telling him FOUR TIMES very unequivocably not to replace the part until he gave me a price quote. He ignored my instructions and replaced it completely unauthorized and then stole the broken part. After finally admitting to me that the part was marked up 500% ~ I made him take it off and told him to replace the old part as he had found it (and to leave the cover off the furnace). He pocketed the broken part and left the furnace with wires hanging, calls to the company were not returned. Check their Facebook reviews and you'll find 45+ complaints about fraud especially for their warranty sales. Steer clear of this place.
Updating to respond to the Owner's comments on my review. The reason he did not see my call on Saturday lasting longer than 7 seconds on his bill was because his phone number is set up to roll all calls over to his answering service. My call was rolled over to his answering service, and I then spoke extensively with his answering service's operator for several minutes about my problem and she promised to relay this to the Owner. I explained this on Facebook and on the phone to the Owner both so his lying here to try to pretend I did not leave a detailed message on Saturday which he ignored for more than a week until I started publishing bad reviews on Facebook and Yelp, is a deliberate attempt to mislead Yelp readers. Second, he promised twice on my Facebook review to call me the next day about my concerns and then did not, and when he finally did call he had all kinds of excuses for why that wasn't his fault too. Third, I am one of more than 10 people on their Facebook and Yelp reviews having the identical issues. Fourth, the promised solution for my problem by the Owner was to mail me a refund for half of my service call. Unsurprisingly I'm still waiting on that check. If this owner spent half as much time running his business as he does on coming up with excuses as to why nothing he does wrong is actually his fault, he'd do better in the long run.
Updating a second time: Once again this owner claims I did not leave a message with his answering service requesting a call and explaining the nature of the problem. Once again this owner is lying. Repeating your lies over and over again doesn't make any difference. Your other Yelp reviews and your Facebook reviews and your Nextdoor.com reviews all confirm that multiple other customers have experienced the same problems.
As of this update you have more than 45 complaints on Facebook and 26 one star reviews here on Yelp, plus multiple negative reviews on Nextdoor.com. Spend less time lying and more time doing your job ~ now there's a concept!

I called due to the heat not blowing. I moved into the house about a week beforehand and nothing was stated in the inspection other than the age of the furnace(19yrs old).
Chad came out, on time and was extremely professional. He fiddled around a little bit, cleaned a sensor and couldn't get it to work. He showed me the fire chalk inside and told me it had been repaired hence the issue. Quoted me for a new unit ($2000-3000) charged me $89.95 and was on his way.
So I called someone else before dropping $2,500 on a new unit. He explained that the chalk I was seeing is used when they manufacture the units to seal the two pieces of metal (looks like a clam shell). He replaced the sensor Chad cleaned and found the circuit board was bad. $200 later and it was working again.
I couldn't give them 1 star as Chad was professional kept my house clean and was super polite. The technician may get paid on selling a new unit, but not doing the right thing has cost Reliable my business, when I do get the furnace replaced this summer.

I couldn't have been happier with my experience with Reliable after selecting them to replace our HVAC system. Pricing was competitive, but more importantly, installation could not have gone more smoothly. My installers, Jorge and Jesse were great every step of the way. I was amazed that with all of the equipment they had to remove and install that they did it without me even notice or hear them while i worked in my home office.
After installation they took the time to show me all of the features of the new equipment, especially lesser known tips that will I'll be sure to use.
They have made a customer for life. I would't hesitate to use Reliable again in the future.

Glad I switched to Reliable, as technician Lawrence Overstreet found mold in the heating unit, which I suspected (but had not mentioned to him beforehand) due to recent health issues. My previous HVAC company had been doing regular annual maintenance checks and never found it. Lawrence was great- friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.

Just had a new dual zoned system installed as a replacement for the 18 year old system that was here when we moved not long ago. Rob came out to give us an estimate, followed up as needed. The installers were George and Jesse, great guys and as far as I can tell did a great job. Very polite, did their work, cleaned up after themselves. Only wish is that communication for the appointment time and that they were on their way had been better from both the company office and the guys. Will be having them come back to cut extra return ducts needed, as the previous system didn't have enough return, and they were here for 8 hours getting it all out in. George took time to explain the new thermostats, compatible with wifi and able to be used with an app on our phones. They did a great job, did not try to sell us high priced mechanicals our house didn't need, and we used the 60 months 0% financing. Great experience.

We live out of state and own an investment property in Atlanta. When the circuits in the bathroom stopped working, we went on line and chose Reliable Heating and Air based on their claim that they provided good service and fair prices. It turned out to be the GFCI which is basically a socket. The tech said it would be $339. I asked how much the part was and the time to install. The part is $25 and it takes 20 minutes to install. We paid it because we don't have the option to wait for another repairman. In anyone's mind, is this a fair charge or is it an opportunity to fleece someone who is over a barrel? I wish I had read a review like this before calling them.

Used Reliable to have a system replaced from single floor to a dual system for 1st floor and basement. Went along with their recommendations on what will work, what we need, etc. Turns out they don't know what works with what and what is needed for make the system work efficiently and without whistling like a freight train while the blower is on. Yay.
Before updating our system we also agreed to the their maintenance program. They come out a couple time a year, make sure everything is clean and working. Well, that's great, when they aren't wasting your life away by canceling scheduled maintenance, making you rearrange your schedule and then, not only not showing up WITHIN A FOUR HOUR TIME FRAME, but also not even letting you know that they won't be there! We will be taking our business elsewhere. Beware!
