We have spent approximately 18k with this company to add hvac units as part of finishing a basement and replacing the main floor units to improve effeciency. Overall, we regret using this company. We have hired another company to fix their poor work. Additionally, some tools were stolen by their employees from our basement. I have scheduled 3 appointments to receive the annual maintenance that supposedly would be done free as part of the 18k we spent. Thus far, they have failed to show up on 3 occasions. I got tired of taking days off to wait for them to just have them not show up or cancel. Beware of this company.

I will be the first to admit that we fell for the rampant marketing, so I am a sucker. The tech cancelled a visit, no-showed for the rescheduled date, and randomly ""courtesy"" called to let us know he was on his way on a holiday weekend. I'm underwhelmed by their professionalism. He arrived over an hour late. In any case, we won't be using them next year. The tech was polite and friendly. No issues there. Unfortunately, I'm looking for punctuality and oddly enough, reliability.

After several pleasant experiences with Reliable, I felt that my recent negative experience warranted a warning to fellow consumers. I can no longer recommend them.
I am a participant in their Maintenance Program which the website claims means the customer will receive priority service when there is a problem with your system. In my experience, this was not the case. With temps soaring into the 90s (inside and outside my home) I waited on their ""standby list"" for FOUR DAYS! I realize that they had an increased call volume, but 4 days still felt excessive. When I technician finally arrived, he was there for 15 minutes before declaring that he could not fix my problem because the unit was ""frozen"". He returned the next day and was able to address the problem.
The wait and the lack of customer service related to the wait is my biggest issue. I""m not sure if they oversold their Maintenance Program to the point that they cannot help all the participants when their is a problem or if they've just grown too big too fast to provide effective service to their customers.

Our 6th months old unit that we purchased from Reliable went out and when I called for service, I was told that I was on a ""waitlist""for a technician and that I would get a 1/2 hour courtesy call. I called back the next day as I still hadn't heard anything from them, and was told I was still on the ""waitlist"" and when I asked how long this would be Steve told me it would be a couple of days or a week, although he didn't think it would take a week. We are on the 3rd day with no call back from Reliable. Found another company that is coming out right away to get our air back on. They were very quick to sell us a new unit when our furnace went out in January, but they don't seem to have the same sense of urgency when it comes to their service.

Couldn't even get to the service part. My A/C stopped working in 90 degree weather and the earliest they could schedule me was a week out. They also couldn't give me a time window and just said the technician would give me a ""courtesy"" call a 1/2 hour before. Sorry Reliable, but it's not a courtesy to require people to be available all day to suit your schedule after waiting a week for you to come around.
I called another company that is highly rated here on yelp and they are coming tomorrow inside a 2 hour window. That's more like it.

We will never use Reliable again or recommend them to anyone! Don't waste your time or money!
We had a new system installed in March of this year by Reliable and have had problems with it ever since.
The new system stopped working the first warm weekend in May. My husband had to beg and plead with customer service to send someone that night. We had a house full of out of town guest and my daughter's first birthday party the next day! A technician did come out that night and told us it was a rare part that was bad and would be covered under warranty but, the part would have to be ordered.
A week later, the part came in and was brought out to our home by one of Reliable's engineers since this was an unusual part to go out. Well, the engineer determined that the unusual part was not broken and it was a part that should have been replaced during the original install of the new system. The engineer also informed us that this new part would would not be covered under warranty and would cost us $500 more on top of the $3,000 we already paid for the new system, go figure. After waiting a week without air for the unusual part that wasn't broken and spending $500 more were told the system was fixed, so we thought........
Since then, we have sold our house and now the new owner is having the same problem that we had before the $500 part was replaced. The new owner has been trying to have a technician come out but the wait time is ridiculously long due to the high temps. To make matters worse, two young children are having to live in a home with temperatures reaching close to 90 degrees inside!
The reason we replaced the system in March was to avoid having problems when it was already hot outside but, that did not turn out to be the case.
Please rethink using Reliable!

I had a new A/C unit installed by Reliable around May of 2014 and I must say the customer service was questionable to begin with. When I met with the salesman I specifically told him that I wanted the new refrigerant lines installed inside the walls where the old lines were. When the technicians came out to install the system I was told that it was not in the work order so if that's what I wanted then I would have to reschedule for another day otherwise they were going to be visible along the walls. When I replied that this was super tacky and not what I requested I was simply asked ""Do you want us to install it or not?"" Because it was already starting to heat up and I did not want to wait another month for an install appt., I agreed to let them go ahead and do the install.
This year in May I realized that the A/C was not blowing out cold air. It was 83 degrees inside my house so I decided to call them as I have a warranty and it had only been a year since the install. I was given an appt. that was 2 weeks out and told that I would be put on standby with a 30 minute call ahead when the technician was on his way. The technician called me literally 10 minutes after I got off the phone. I was at work so I missed the initial call but within 5 minutes got the VM and called to make sure my husband got home quickly to meet him. By the time he made it home 10 minutes later there was already a ""sorry we missed you"" plaque on the door that was time stamped 15 minutes from the time he left the VM. What happened to my 30 minute window?
Finally, a week after I called to complain and was extremely frustrated after living in a house that was registering 83 degrees even at night when it should have been cool, they sent a technician out. The technician looked at the unit, looked at my air filter which I had just changed the week before, and tinkered around for a minute before reporting to me that my A/C had frozen because of a dirty air filter and now that I had changed the filter it should be fine. Excuse me how do you know that it was a result of a dirty air filter when I just changed the filter and you never even saw the old one? Anyway, I paid the $145 service plan fee and sent him on his way just happy to have some cold air coming out.
3 weeks later I again notice that the A/C is not blowing out cold air. I immediately call. I was told by the rep that because it is within 30 days of the last call that any service will be covered by my service plan. You can bet your bottom dollar you're gonna cover it. I wasn't given an appt. time, I was told that someone would be out within 72 hours. After 5 days no one had been out to fix my unit. It is 80 degrees inside my house and when I call Reliable to see what the hold up is I was told by the rep that she was sorry that I was told 72 hours but that no one would be out until there was a tech in my area. Excuse me!?! When is there going to be a tech in my area? Of course she couldn't give me an exact day or time but ""hopefully within 24-48 hours."" Lady I have been sitting in 83 degree heat for 5 days already after paying $145 for service that I clearly didn't get. Not to mention after paying you over $3000 to install a unit that is not working properly after 1 year. This company is unbelievable. Take my advice and pay a little more if you can for better service! I would not recommend Reliable Heating and Air. If it weren't for the fact that they were priced lowest of all my quotes, I would have given one star. I am not impressed.

This company has repeatedly provided great prices and service for our home. I'll continue to refer Reliable H&A to friends who need heat or air service.

THE WORST! Bought two complete Trane systems for upstairs and downstairs last September (Note: Do not buy an A/C system in the fall). Had the upstairs unit serviced early on because coolant was low, and was told if there were any further problems it was likely due to a leak. That service tech was apparently the only one in the whole operation who knows anything. In May it completely died. I called it in on May 13 and was told it would be May 20 before it could be serviced. After waiting a week, the tech briefly serviced it, added freon, and left. That night it still wasn't cooling well so I called back and was told it would be ANOTHER week before I could have it looked at. I explained I had waited a week already and would not be going to the back of the line. We got the same guy out the next day who discovered there was also a valve sticking. He ordered the part and came back a week later to install, and ostensibly went through the entire system to make sure nothing else was wrong. 24 hours after he left the temperature was climbing and I was told I would have to wait two more days. Guy came back out and told me when he installed the valve he overtightened it and it broke and he would have to order another one. Put some more coolant in to tide us over, which leaked out within a day and a half. Three days later, got a different guy out (our fifth service call, not counting the initial one) who discovered a huge leak in the coil just as we had always suspected ( the supposedly broken part was installed perfectly). Waiting to hear if they have the part in stock (Vegas isn't taking odds). It is now almost a month since I made my first service call!

We bought 2 complete HVAC systems 2 months ago. Today the AC stops cooling. I call to schedule a warranty call and am told they have too many customers and the soonest they can put me on the schedule is Tuesday (5 days away)!! I can be on stand by and essentially have to drop everything (work included) to meet them if another customer cancels. I am LIVID!! My wife is 8 months pregnant and 2 young kids (3 and under) who don't sleep at night or naps because of the house not cooling! Apparently Reliable has grown to big to really be ""reliable"" any more. Unfortunately for their warranty to remain in effect they have to service the systems (although to be determined if they actually stand by their warranty)! Buyer beware, wish I had gone with another company!
