Company Overview

Fixing concerns involving remodeling. I started my path in the lighting industry for The Feldman Company around the mid 60s. I work with all kinds of styles of light fixtures. For many years, I was on my own until the time the 1990s, at that time my children began to assist me and they still do. I am open to sharing more about my experience in the future.

I have had the pleasure of using Ray and Raymond several times over the years and could not recommend them more highly. They are always on time, extremely efficient and professional. Several times they have walked me through small issues without having to make a service call, and when they have had to come out they have completed their work quickly and explained exactly what they are doing. They will restore your faith in service professionals. Outstanding electricians! Use them!

Ray is simply the best electrician in LA. He's on time, extremely affordable and a genuine expert at solving your electrical needs. I thought I had previously submitted a review for Ray and just discovered that I hadn't, which is unfortunate on my part because we have hired him for a few different projects and each electrical situation was beautifully fixed. He always leaves our home in better shape than when he shows up, and he never overcharges or over-sells on his recommendations. We are planning for him to install attic fans and exterior lighting, and look forward to seeing him again. He's extremely busy, but absolutely worth the wait. If I could give him 100 stars, it still wouldn't adequately reflect how much we appreciate his standard of excellence.

Just getting around to this as I used these guys a few months back but it's so memorable that I have to write a review. I hired this company because of their five stars. How these guys have five stars is beyond me. I'm really pretty pissed actually. I pride myself on living a peaceful life and working nicely with people but these guys - the father and the son - are so ARGUMENTATIVE and BICKER and are SO VINDICTIVE in how they work with you it will make you want to pull your hair out. They could make a monk feel like throwing a punch. Life is too short. Beyond that, their whole business operation is backwards. They seem fine enough on the actual electrical work front, but it's beyond me why anyone would want to invite these NASTY ATTITUDE/ANTI-PRODUCTIVE people into their home or place of business. Life is just too short. So many vendors out there. I advise you to pick another one. ANY other one. Your sanity will thank you.

PS I now see some other few one star interviews that say they had the same experience as me - man, really wish I had seen/read them before I hired these guys.

Forgot to do this but again wanted to say thanks to Ray and his son for doing a great job as always! Installed a light fixture in my sons room and it looks and works great. Also put a new outlet on the outside of my house last year. He is my go to electrician!

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, but electrical trouble shooting is not in my wheel house (also not comfortable around live wires @ breaker box).

Ray is provided top notch diagnosis and quantitative analysis. Repaired issue in under and hour. I learned something new and when I do next remodel will work with his company again.

Awesome person!

Ray Jr. installed a ceiling fan the other day in our nursery room and did a great job. He was friendly, showed me what he was doing step by step, and stuck to the quote he gave over the phone. Great experience, quality work! I will definitely call them again. They are the best at what they do and they do it for reasonable prices.

Ray is a great guy -- honest and does great work. However, on two out of four jobs for us the work was never done. About 12 years ago he did some rewiring for us -- fast and reasonable. About two years later I called him for another job and talked to him. He said he would get back to me but never did -- and never returned my calls. Fast forward to about two years ago. Thinking it was time to give him another chance, we had him come out to rewire some kitchen fixtures. Fast and reasonable. This month we needed some electrical wall heaters replaced in a guest house. Once again Ray flaked out. My wife talked to him about it and then he just disappeared off the face of the earth. Too bad.

I had Ray Mount Electrical out to my house to handle a minor electrical issue, as a result of some contractor work that was occurring at the beginning of a large-scale house fix/remodel project. I had not really considered doing much more extensive electrical work to my place (mostly, as a lack of imagination on my end). Ray and his son came out, fixed my minor issue, and while there, had a look at my kitchen and living room. They told me that it really would not be difficult to put in recessed lighting in my living room (which would solve a lack-of-light issue - i previously had to rely on torchieres, as there were no ceiling lights), and also to remove a hideous drop-ceiling style fluorescent lighting setup I had in the kitchen, and install recessed LED's there too. They estimated maybe 2 days' work, and the cost was not out of line with what my research subsequently found for this type of work, plus it would be a great opportunity to do any such changes, before my ceilings were worked on by my main contractor. I took them up on getting a formal estimate, and we booked.

The kitchen tear-out of the soffit went quickly, and the living room went pretty smoothly - the only issue was that there were some challenging runs of wire, given where some joists were, but they were able to work around them, and at the end of the day, only one very small hole was cut in the ceiling, that wasn't ultimately needed (and which my contractor fixed while he was doing his finishes). They also re-wired my light switches in the living room, so I had two fader switches controlling the six cans, plus grouped my exterior lights on one panel, plus converted an outlet to unswitched. I added on one additional LED in the kitchen and one LED at the top of the stairs. While Ray & son didn't handle ceiling finishes and drywall, by having them do their work first, I rolled those fixes into my other contractor work, so no problem. But as far as the lighting goes, I am completely satisfied. Their work on the lights completely changed the character of my living room, kitchen, and stairway, and fit smoothly with the work I had done subsequently, and I love the results. No hesitation to recommend them, and I would call them the next time I have electrical needs.

Ray was great. I called and left a message and he responded back in 15 minutes. He was at my place within 30 minutes. He told things as they were and actually pointed out some wiring that had been done incorrectly previously. He is very knowledgeable, and explained everything as he was doing it. He was able to resolve my issue quickly and in a very friendly manner. I'll definitely be using him again for any electrical issues / work!
