My elderly parents had an issue with some of their electrical outlets. They were running extension cords to keep a freezer, refrigerator, and a bathroom light on. I called Rankin Electric. I spoke to Randy, the owner. Randy gave me some tips to pass on to my dad. I spoke to my dad, gave him the information from Randy. I called back after a bit, and spoke to Sandy who Randy made aware of the situation. Sandy put my parents on their cancelation list.
Sandy at Rankin told me it might be 4 or 5 days. I gave them my parents phone number and my dad's name. Rankin Electric showed up at my parents home by 12:30 today, the same day I called. Kyle the electrician was fantastic. He found every issue and was able to correct them promptly. My dad was very impressed and pleased. He's not easily impressed. Great job Rankin! I would recommend you to everyone who needs an electrician.

We recently purchased an older home that needed some electrical work. Rankin emailed us a detailed quote; we accepted and they scheduled the work. They were very busy so they weren't able to come out for about 30 days for some of the work and the other job could not be scheduled for another month or so (not Rankins fault PG&E delay). Brian and a helper came the first day and installed ceilings fans, did some GFI work, repaired some fans in the bathroom. The other job was replacing our breaker box. Brian came out and did that work as well. They did a great job. I really appreciated the great communication Brian gave us; a detailed explanation on what he was doing and the estimated timeline. They wore masks whenever they were working inside the house and did a thorough job of cleaning up when the day was over.

We've used Rankin electric twice in the past few years and received excellent service both times. The service technicians we've had out completed the job with attention to detail and displayed clear pride in their work. And they always do a good job cleaning up after themselves. Most recently, the company and technician were patient with me as I had a number of small jobs around the house and I wasn't sure what would fit in my budget. The service technician, Julian, took his time when he came to quote the job and asked a lot of questions to make sure he understood what I wanted and why. I highly recommend Rankin Electric to anyone looking to have electrical work done.

By far the best and most reasonable electrician I have ever hired. When I called to make an appointment with a list; Fan replacement, fixing various outlets and switches, replacing 2 light fixtures, etc. I was told there was a flat fee per hour which I found to be reasonable. He showed up on time wearing a mask. He got to work immediately. He asked if there was anything else. No up-charges, ho hidden fees. The job took 3.25 hours and that is what he charged. I will only use this company for electrical work. Great Job!

I called for an appointment today (Thursday at just before 1 pm). They didn't have an appointment until Monday. The nice lady who answered the phone said she would add me to a list so that someone could come sooner if time allowed. They called at 1348 hours and advised they could come fix our issue.
Joby (I think was his name) showed up and was super nice. He explained all the possibilities that could be causing our issue. He told me everything he was doing, as he went through the process-which I appreciated.
He had the power back on and the issue resolved in less than an hour.
Super nice. Super courteous and very professional.

Oh! And it didn't cost an arm and a leg. VERY reasonably priced.
