Rack Electric took over 1 Stop Generator recently. I have used 1 Stop Generator for years without any issues. That is why I have been such a loyal customer. Unfortunately, Rack Electric does not give the same customer service. I had to make multiple phone calls to the office in order to get an appointment. The office staff seem lost and have no idea what they are doing. The appointment date came and went and I never received a phone call or an email as promised. When I called for a 4th time to follow up, the representative was rude and just wanted to argue. Someone had come out to look at my generator but did not contact me. The scary part is the electric to generator needed to be turned off, and in order to do that, the person would need access to my garage. The garage was locked. Obviously, this company doesn't have a clue. I am disappointed in this whole process. But I will say one thing, Rack Electric just lost my business.

I signed up for a generator maintenance agreement. My first appointment I had to wait 2 months for. Monday was my scheduled day. I also had a problem with my generator that same day. Nobody showed up and when I called they said they moved me to the 17th of July. Why would they not call me and tell me they were not coming???? Then they sent someone out Tuesday to ""fix"" my generator. The guy who came out said that he didn't have the right equipment to handle the job.. Why would they not be equipped with the right equipment?? He was the ""fixer"" guy!! Its Thursday and I have made repeated calls to them with no call back. Meanwhile my generator is shut down. RIDICULOUS !
My son called them 2 months ago about getting a generator.. the install guy has left him handing for 3 weeks with no calls or emails... How are they still in business????

this is absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with in my 11 years in Martin county. They overcharge, they don't return phone calls. I could go on and on. if I could give them zero stars I would.

worst customer service in any industry. They don't call back, do not answer when you call them. DO NOT BUY A GENERATOR from this company.

Don't expect any service. They are unresponsive. Filing for breach of contract now. Waiting for service due me last year.

Edited review... Customer service...no returned calls, some jobs poorly done, untimeliness of appointments, has a service window from 9am- 6pm. Does not respond to negative Mobile Link notices. Stayed home all day and they showed up at 5:30 pm ...did not complete or double check the job...had to come back...many weeks went by before completion. I'm switching companies. Done with Rack. Read all reviews especially service related. Absolutely substandard service...Need more qualified techs and better customer service communication wise. No need for owner or manager to respond.
Reply to Rack's response. Instead of denying my review or saying I do not exist ...Kindly look at other negative reviews. They are a message. They are very accurate. Listen up... Your service started out very good and bombed... You are losing business but you're busy enough to not worry about it. It will catch up. Deliver quality and it will come back to you... otherwise that reverses. I'll never use your service again,

Signed up for a service contract with Rack for my brand new generator (like 2022) and for some reason my dryer no longer works. I called an appliance repair guy (dryer is nearly new and top of the line) and he said that the red light was off on the generac box inside the house. Thinks might be a new switch that needs replacing on that unit. I called Rack, woman that answer was super nice but she said my generator was out of warranty by a few weeks so she would have to charge me $295 for someone to diagnose the problem. Told her that I thought it might be a good idea to not rip off someone paying you almost $500 a year to change oil and a filter twice a year. Profit is what, 90% on that service. I asked Guy (I think) if that seemed like a good way to treat a current customer and he didn't have much to say. I run a business. Probably a bigger business than Rack and I would never treat a customer that is paying for service and getting very little and when a problem does arise (clearly stemming from the generator) try to over-charge him again. I cancelled the service call and maintenance contract on that call. Plenty of replacement firms out there.

We did call your company numerous times and always got the answering service and left messages to no avail. We had to go in person to the Boca Raton office to at least get an update on What was going on. This project is now 11 months old. Now more than ever we re convinced, your company is playing the cash flow game.
We own numerous homes and just had another generator installed at another home through Anderson Power Services and WOW!! What a difference! They were prompt, customer service oriented, responsive and competent.just wish we had used them for this home. We will clearly going forward use them.

Do not use this company. They signed me up for a service contract on my portable generator (the second year in a row), had a technician come out to do a maintenance service. The tech said I needed a new battery and air filter and would call me back once he got the parts. After waiting almost three weeks for a call, we called and I was told they can't service my generator, because they are no longer servicing portable generators. Very poor communication and very poor business practice.

buyer BEWARE!!!! this company has poor customer service, non responsive and poor follow through. We began the process of getting a generator from this company June 2023 and are still waiting for the work to be completed. We currently have a generator on out lawn with no propane connectivity and no install yet more than 3/4 of the monies have been paid for. We call and do not get a call back unless we physically go to the office and demand a response.
What a disappointment. Next step.... small claims court!
