No wonder your rating is low! I wish when we YELP a company we can give a negative star!
Very inefficient company! First time they scheduled us to check our garage they gave us a window from 9-1. We waited all day no one came. But they said they did and no one answered our door. How can that be if I have a dog that will not miss responding to the door bell, knock on the door or even the sound of that from the radio or tv. I have my house cleaning lady that day as well, my daughter and myself.
They called us to reschedule again and I had to miss work again. The! I got a call just that morning to tell me that they made a mistake scheduling and no tech is available. Does this person by the name of Kayla knows the value of time? That time is priceless? That there are people that if they miss work they won't get paid? Plus the fact that it will save us a great deal money and safety if our garage door gets taken care of immediately.
If you want a more reliant efficient company then save yourself by not getting the services of PT Electric.

We were given this company through American Home Shield. We called on Friday and received a message that they would be out of the office from 9-30-17 through 10-3-17. They would be monitoring their messages though. Not happy because my car was stuck in the garage. Long story short, after calling 3 times, the morning of 10/4, I was told they would call me back after talking with the dispatch guys. That was at 10a. They finally called back at 1p and said a repairman would be out before 5p. It is now 6:20P and no one has shown up or ever called to say they weren't.
I gave them 1 star because you can't do a review without it, but they really deserve 0. I don't know how they stay in business.

It will be two weeks tomorrow and still no update on a part that was supposed to take one week to arrive... And this is AFTER waiting two days for them to call back to schedule an appointment.

PT was able to accommodate an urgent request with our home warranty insurance (American Home Shield) to look at our AC/electrical. Fernando came out the next day and diagnosed the problem with electrical/wires pretty quickly; he was very knowledgable as to how the units worked and how the wiring and parts should be working/looking. He was also very professional and respectful, which is so important when having someone in your home. Our experience with PT was such a relief, especially after multiple other electricians from other companies ran us around in circles and tried to overcharge us for services we didn't need.
I would recommend PT Electric to anyone and gladly call them again.

PT Electric was referred to me by American Home Shield Insurance. I had inherited an extremely old garage door opener and door when purchasing my house. I didn't have a clicker to open the door and had to do it manually. Tracy (the owner of PT Electric) came out after an appointment was set and not only replaced the ancient garage door opener but also installed a new garage door (which now has no-brainer safety standards the other door was lacking). He provided an excellent price for the door and American Home Shield paid for the majority of the opener. I found Tracy to be friendly, engaging and extremely professional. Due to the lack of good reviews on Yelp! I was a bit dubious at first, but Tracy's knowledge and personality quickly put me at ease. Truth is - he made the process easy, didn't charge an arm and a leg and completed a big job in no time flat. I give him 5 stars because 1) I believe he deserves a better overall rating and 2) He was on time, professional and both the opener and door work great! I would definitely request his services again.

We've got a problem with the garage door opener - just stopped working. This company was referred to us by American Home Shield Insurance (it's their contractor). The technician came in and unfortunately I was not home but my wife let me speak with him and I asked him to call me back with the results. After 10 minutes my wife called me and said the guy is left. After another 10 minutes I am getting a call from PT Electric asking for payment for service call (which is a standard procedure with AHS Insurance) and still did not give me any explanation what is going on - just said ""someone from AHS will give you a call"". So in 30 minutes I am getting a call from AHS and they are stating that based on PT Electric visit info the garage motor burned out ""BECAUSE THE GARAGE DOOR IS TOO HEAVY"" (!?) and IT IS NOT COVERED under home warranty. I called PT Electric again and was trying to get an explanation, but never got one. Instead I've been told that someone will call me and explain but if I want to fix it it will run me about $450.00. I waited few days and nobody call me back until now. I called AHS again and asked about 2nd opinion, because 2 years ago our garage door were serviced by another company through AHS and nobody was mentioning about ""door being too heavy"". To make story short another company came in, replaced motor within an hour and EVERYTHING WAS COVERED BY THE HOME INSURANCE WARRANTY! Please do your homework by checking company ratings on social media like Yelp, Google, YP etc. before engaging in any business activity.
No wonder that PT Electric & GDO Co has one of the lowest ratings everywhere.

I Place a call to my insurance AHS about having half power to house, my Bedroom, Gargage, and Den didn't have any power I hated it because I couldn't wait T.V in my room. With in 2 hours the dispatch girl called and made my Appt. for the next day between 8 & 12 that""s the
window time they would show up, PT electric guy came out and replace some electrical parts and I was good to good...Thanks PT Electric

First appt: Great! Temp fix...will call to schedule follow up Friday or Monday. Nothing. Minimum of five appointments (all initiated by me as they NEVER called me back!) scheduled and missed - no call, no apology. Nothing. Maybe it's because I was a home warranty customer? To be fair, garage door finally fixed and works great, but sheesh! I try only to Yelp positive stuff but this company was begging for a crummy review.

5 months, 3 visitations, many phone calls and much waiting later, the same problem of my garage door remains up to this date (04/17/15). This fact prompts me to agree with other Yelpers. I called them on 12/09/14 due to the malfunctioning of my garage door. The last ""verdict"" I had from them was that they are waiting for the parts on 12/21/14. I and my home warranty company followed up at least 10 times since Jan this year, which leads to the same unfixed garage door. Based on personal experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

Note to the technician: I hope, with a touch of reality, that you are aware that LA (or US for that matter) is quite a melting pot with various ethnicity. Capisce??! If so, it would be great if you could take that into consideration and hold yourself from making racist remarks, especially before you see the owner in a multi-race&nationality house-hold.
