Highly recommend Power Up Electric - especially if you are doing a major rewiring job. Within hours of expressing interest we received a reasonable quote and within two days work had begun. We hired Power Up to rewire our entire house, install a new electrical panel, and bring the entire system up to code. Gabriel and his crew were affordable, completed the work within the time promised, and handled the entire inspection and permitting process. All along they were very professional and communicative - responding to texts and calls within minutes and checking in about options, ideas, and any issues to get our feedback. If we ever need work done on any scale again, we'll definitely use them again.

We have used Power UP Electric for years now for our electrical needs. Martin just redid our landscape lighting, replaced outdoor electrical outlets, and fixed some indoor light fixtures for us. Martin responds quickly by email or phone and was available promptly do do the work we needed before Thanksgiving. He purchased all fixtures, bulbs and outlets for us. He is a very nice man and his prices are extremely reasonable. We recommend this company highly.

Star Three: Affability. While every employee a customer interacts with practices a high standard of politeness and decorum, Frank(lin) is one of the most friendly, enjoyable professionals you will ever meet.

Star Four: Punctuality. Perhaps the reliability of the arriving times contributes to the project's completion on the timelines proposed.

Star Five: Value. A less than scientific calculation combining the different variables for an electrician's expectation divided by price.

A sixth star would be that the licensing, bonding and insuring with this company adds to the peace of mind a consumer gets from hiring these outstanding, visionary, electricians to take care of basic and complicated home owner needs alike.

I had Power Up re-wire my entire house when I moved in. This was after my inspector said the electrical was fine and not to worry??!! I was frantic when it was clear that what I had was faulty, Gabriel was very professional and put my mind at ease. Over the years I have called him to do other updates and he always remembers me- which in Los Angeles is rare. I just had his team install a breaker for my Airstream and it was easy peasy! Great customer service and I never have any doubts that the work is first rate. Happy customer here :)

Power Up Electric is my Go-To Electrician.
Several years ago I wanted to add central air and heat to my 6 units in an older 1930's apartment building in Glendale. Gabriel and Frank came highly recommended from a neighbor, so I hired them (and I am glad I did).
I needed a new, larger main panel; seven new outdoor sub-panels for HVAC; and a new breaker panel in each apartment unit.
The job included bring the entire building up to current electrical code, and adding TV cable and Cat-5 Ethernet wiring to multiple locations in each apartment unit.
This work involved opening up many plaster holes in each unit, and working in tenants occupied apartments. They worked cooperatively with the tenants, covered floors before starting work, cleaned and vacuumed each day before the tenants returned, and complied with special tenant requests.
Gabriel, the owner, was there every day to make sure all the supplies were available, plus work out issues with DWP and inspectors.
The job took several weeks to finish, all the holes were patched and repainted, the tenants were all happy, and I was very pleased.

I also used Power Up to convert my home's electrical service from overhead wires to underground cable. This was important because the overhead service wires went right over the swimming pool (which is very dangerous if the wires ever fall into the pool).
Again, Gabriel and his crew did a great job installing a new 400 amp main panel and a new outdoor sub-panel, trenching and running cable to the DWP box at the street.

Gabriel upgraded our box 13 years ago and recently came back to help us diagnose a tricky problem where half the power was flickering in our house but none of the breakers had popped. He discovered a problem originating at the pole and helped us get DWP out to fix the problem which they promptly did. Gabriel is super knowledgable, helpful, and fast!
