I found this company because I had a few electrical defects in my house in St. Petersburg, Florida. Pool transformer defective, a couple of corroded circuit breakers, and a non-functioning 3-way switch.

They literally sent a criminal to my house !!! He collected a big down payment of $2,000, did partial work, and never came back to finish.

The manager called me a couple of times and stated that this particular electrician is no longer employed with him, and that I should track him down and take action against him.

Why do I have to find him? I hired your company and you are responsible for sending a criminal to my house. DON'T USE Performance A/C. They don't screen their employees, and they don't care if they rob you.

Hands down the best a/c company I have dealt with!! When my a/c unit stopped working over the weekend I was worried that I would have to wait until Monday to get it fixed. That was not the case, I called Performance Air and Ron answered my call right away. He had the service technician Matt scheduled to be at my house within the hour, he arrived within 30 minutes, I was certainly impressed! I applaud the professionalism, honesty and competence of the staff at Performance. Highly recommend them!!

This company sucks! Over paid for them to fix a coil that broke on our unit which then broke a few months later. Paid for a membership of which they missed their scheduled maintenance visit so we called and they said they couldn't get anyone out until the NEXT MONTH! Next month came and guess what!? They didn't show AGAIN!!! We've wasted so much money on this damn company I hope no one else goes through them and gets treated like we have. Their customer service on the phone is horrible too. Was spoken very rudely and condescendingly to when all I wanted was the maintenance check that I already paid for. Basic if you go through this company they just steal your money and don't give a damn.

A HUGE rip-off!!!! SCAMMERS!
The repair guy did not have the correct size breaker with him. I went to Home Depot to buy it, $10.
When I was emailed the bill I had been charged $100 for it!!!!!
Their ""EZ Club"" is a scam too.
Was told it was $7 a month and when the contract was emailed it said $93 a month! I was stupid to not ask for a written copy of the contract.....CROOKS!!!!!

This is the most outrageous place anyone could call for electric repair. Over $1200.00 to dedicate 2 circuits for 2 airconditioners in a mobile home. $877 for 75 feet of wiring in a 66 foot mobile home. Romex 20a 120v circut to be exact. $116 for 20 amp outlet switch, $114 for a single pole 20 amp plug-in breaker half size and $112 for a single pole 15 amp plug-in breaker half size. The total of this bill $1,237.24. No wonder they have 1 star, the price gouge! This price included 1 electrician for 3 1/2 hours and he told me they don't charge by the hour. I wish I could upload the invoice. Please do not use this company unless yoh have money to throw it the window.

I wish I could give a negative number! I have lived in Florida for 18 years and this is BY FAR the worst company I have ever dealt with! Since signing up last March for their service plan, they have quoted us the highest repair prices of any other company and then not followed through with the repairs. Our service plan included custom fit filters and we have yet to receive them. We have called 1/2 a dozen times and have yet to get a return call from the owner. My next review will be with a phone call to the BBB. Run from this company!

24 hour service 7 days a week. Professional, friendly and helpful service. Anthony showed me what the issues were and got my system up and running. I'm in the construction field so I understood the technical side of things, but Anthony took time to explain the issues to my wife in simple terms. Charged me a ""Same Day Service"" Fee despite the fact that the service was not on the same day I requested service. Did not explain there would be a fee when I initially called or when the service tech came on a different day. Once I received their quote I declined their service. The quote was for a problem that has other cheaper options of repair, I found out later. Technician then tried to sell me a yearly service plan or a warranty on a unit they did not install, technician even admitted that it was not normal.

Once he packed up and left, he told me the AC unit was back the way he found it. The breaker was installed upside down and the unit could not power on. They seem professional, they are in fact trying to nickel and dime you out of hard earned money and leave work left undone if you don't want any more of their plans or warranties. Stay far away.

As far as overall service goes, I had a unit that was serviced three months ago and has yet to show any problems. However, this company DOES NOT follow through on their service plans and parts. I was told I would receive my air filters a week or two after it had been serviced. It has now been 3 months and still trying to get someone capable of fulfilling their part of the contract we agreed too. Service may be up to par, but commitment to their cliental is worthless. If you want a committed business who WILL pull through on their half, go elsewhere. A quick fix is all they are good for.

I am ONLY giving 1 star because I have to, if I could, I would give NEGATIVE 5 stars. This company is terrible and the people who work here are LIARS!

My husband came home from work yesterday and found that our AC was down due to storms that had passed through the area earlier in the day. He called this company because they were so highly rated on google. He called at 4:14pm. The girl that he spoke with initially said that they were very busy, and that they would not have anyone that could help us. My husband said thank you and was about to hang up when the girl said ""wait, can you hold for a moment?"", and placed him on hold. When she came back on the line, she said that her manager just told her that they would be able to have a technician out to check our AC after 6pm, my husband asked if she was sure, stating that he would call around to other companies if they were not able to guarantee someone would be out to check our system that same day. The girl stated that her manager said that they could definitely have a tech out to look at our system that evening after 6pm, and that the tech would call 20 mins prior to his arrival. My husband thanked her for her help.

At 7:30pm, we still had not heard from anyone, so I called to check on the status of our service call. The girl at the answering service was pleasant, and shortly after I recieved a call from ""Toni"". She stated that a technician named ""Anthony"" was scheduled for our service call, that he was currently at a call in St. Petersburg, that we were the next call he would be coming to and that he would call us 20 mins prior to his arrival. I thanked her and hung up.

At 9:15pm, we still had not heard from anyone, so I called back again. At 9:23, I received a call from a technician named Kris Stuck. I explained the above situation to him, to which he stated ""I don't know why they told you Anthony would be coming to do your service call, he went home sick halfway through the day because he worked so late the night before."" He continued on to state that ""these girls in the office have no idea what they are doing/talking about"". When I asked him if he would be able to come out to look at our AC, he began to ask me questions about the system, and when I told him that the compressor was on the roof of our condo building, he stated ""I can't help you, I only have a 20ft ladder, and you need a 40 ft ladder for those buildings."" I told him that other AC companies use the second floor landing as the base for their ladders to get up to the roof, he stated ""we don't do that, and I won't be able to get a ladder until the morning."" I explained to him that we were promised by a manager that someone would be out to look at our AC that night, and that at 9:45 at night, it would be difficult to find someone else to come. He said ""I don't know what to tell you, I just got 4 more service calls while talking on the phone with you, and I can't help you."" I told him that I wanted to speak to a manager, that I wanted an immediate callback from someone who was going to resolve this situation to my satisfaction, he said "" I will see what I can do.""

At 10:30pm, I still had not heard from anyone, so I called back, I told the girl at the answering service that I wanted to speak to a manager immediately, and she said ""I'll see what I can do."" I NEVER GOT A CALLBACK FROM ANYONE!!! It wasn't until the following morning that someone had the nerve to call and see if they could schedule an appointment to come service our AC- my husband told them ""you should have called us last night like you said you would!"" and hung up.

To have no AC in Florida in the summertime, even at night is awful for a person, let alone our two dogs! These people are heartless!
