Company trues to upsell on every service call. Complaint calls to service manager do not get responses.

Service is excellent. Pricing is robbery - at least 300% more than any competitor. They stated their pricing is partly due to the admin costs. Customers do not care about admin costs.

Read this especially if your elderly relatives are in a customer relationship with Performance Air.

Less than two years ago, Performance sold my mom two wall AC units (over $1000 each), charged her over $2000 to fix her central unit, and within months of that sold her a $13,100 HVAC unit for her 2400 sqft home. You read that right: $13,100. They helped her finance it with a ""no interest"" loan for $15,000 from Green Sky.

I know, the numbers don't add up.

They also talked my mom into buying a new water heater (which she didn't need and which works worse than her old one), and sold her a dishwasher, which, less than two years later, has already died and had to be replaced.

When I found out about these purchases this past January due to my mom's hospitalization, I contacted Performance Air and asked to see the purchase history and receipts. A history was sent, but no signed contracts or documents. When I inquired again, I was ignored. I have yet to see any signed agreements for any of the purchased items.

I told Performance not to send representatives to my mom's home without consulting me first. I was promised there is a policy not to make contracts with elderly clients especially when asked to refrain by their children. Especially when they have Power of Attorney, which I provided to them.

JUST THIS MONTH, on May 2, 2019, a performance air consultant came to my mom's home. Apparently, the less than two year old wall units (installed by Performance Air) had to be fixed to the tune of $200.

And at the bottom of the receipt was written:

""Maybe it's time to talk to our comfort advisor about a new more efficient system.""

WHEN THEY SOLD HER A UNIT LESS THAN A YEAR AGO THAT COSTS $13,100!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus two OTHER units that are LESS THAN TWO YEARS OLD.

They are already playing against her forgetfulness to SELL HER ANOTHER ONE!!!!!

Shame on Performance Air. Stay away from them, and especially watch your parents' pocketbooks.

I will keep this short and sweet because I don't want to waste anymore of my time on this company. Basically, Performance AC just recently quoted us for a fan motor and cooling coils at $1,700 and $3,300. After specifically asking the technician if the manufacturer warranty would cover this repair he said no. To my surprise I called Trane and yes, both parts are covered under warranty. Come to find out Performance AC has customer pay out of pocket for full cost of parts and then goes to Trane directly for reimbursement and pockets the difference. This in addition to selling us on multiple UV lights unnecessarily and changing our variable speed handler to a single speed is just too much to let this pass without bringing it to everyone's attention. Good luck to all and please if you use this company PLEASE check their work and call for second opinions before any work is completed.

We called Performance AC for a plumbing problem. The technician that showed up spent most of the time getting us to sign up fo a membership. He blatantly lied to us that we could cancel if we were unsatisfied with the service. He left after we signed up and we ended up having to put a toilet back in place ourselves. The next day a different guy came out and did a video of our sewer and gave us a huge estimate to dig up and replace to whole line. He snaked out the line and we paid him for that. 2 months later the drain backed up again an a different guy came out and snaked the line again. I had to pay $300 again. I had an electrician come out from their company and they said I needed a new breaker panel. Estimate was $3500.00. I got a second estimate for $1500.00. I think they are over priced and do not stand behind their work. I called to cancel and they said I needed to submit it in an email which I did. They continued to charge my credit card. When I called them back, the manager said I couldn't cancel no matter what the rep told us. She proceeded to tell me that person no longer works for them and that it was my fault for not calling and verifying what their employee was telling me. I will never do business with this company again.

So these guys sold us a bi annual service contract. Every time they show up it's something new or your system is about to die. Last year the system was working fine, they showed up for bi annual service, within 24 hours we had a problem. Their est $600, another guy did the repair for $150. It was a switch. They were here yesterday and the system was fine. They cleaned it and serviced it. System stopped working today. Obviously they're screwing with the system. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. RIP OFFS !!!

Only concerned with selling upgrade to a system they installed less than five years ago for prior homeowners. Never registered the system. We canceled our maintenance contract and they have continued to bill us going on two months now. Awful. Their manager refused to return my husband's calls to discuss issues discovered by another HVAC inspection.

This company is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They failed on so many levels its absurd. All I needed as a drain snaked, thats it.
They failed to show up at designated time. Immediately went into a sales pitch for a service contract, without even looking at the issue, or discussing what may be wrong. After reluctantly agreeing to this, (which I was told would NOT be recurring), they failed to even snake the drain. I called them back, and they said a camera guy would be out, also failed to show up, had to call again, they finally came out after 4 days of this back and forth, and snaked the drain. They said piping needed to be replaced, and failed to provide an estimate, also as promised. After all of this ridiculous back and forth, they still left equipment at my house. I had to call to have it picked up.
They started charging my card for the plan, then demanded I cancel in writing, and it would take 30 days, then proceeded to not only NOT issue the refund, but charged my card again.
They have failed in every way possible, and are complete rip off artists. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This company gave me an estimate of $2360 for a plumbing job. Another company gave me a $400 estimate. Stay away.

When will these companies learn that they gain nothing by ripping customers off? My only fault is that I gave this company a second chance. First plumber who came out for a bathtub leak was a rookie with no experience. Dirtied up the bathroom and the tub, spent 5 hours figuring out what he had to do. Left to Home Depot to get the necessary replacement part and came back smelling like he has been smoking the blunt. Ridiculous. When I voiced my concerns, I was told that he is no longer with them and it would never happen again, and of course they seemed very apologetic. Now it's round 2, A simple bidet installation, with 30 minute electric work of installing and outlet and pulling the existing wires through the wall....The electric portion of the job....Are you ready for this? $422!!!!!! I thought the electrician was joking at first. Although he was a very nice guy, it's not his fault he is employed by a company that has zero integrity. Same job cost $100.00 in Chicago, where the cost of living is way higher than Tampa FL. It's very insulting when you attempt to treat your customers like they are stupid and blatantly rip them off. Shame on you.
