Company Overview

With a legacy spanning over 45 years, Paumalu Electric is a staple on Oahu’s North Shore. We focus on residential services such as new construction, full re-wiring, renovations, and upgrades. Our offerings extend to installing EV charging units, saunas, cold plunges, lighting systems, device upgrades, AC power connections, and much more. We engage in light commercial projects and have worked alongside the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

Paumalu Electric has been operating for over four decades. Located on Oahu's North Shore, we are committed to quality service. The owner, David Hancock, holds a license as an Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He holds an ES certification, the designation for master Electricians in Hawaii.

I moved to Hawai'i in 1969 to ride the waves and pursue the life I had always dreamed of as a California surfer. Initially, I shaped and glassed surfboards, but after marrying my wonderful wife, Peggy, and starting a family, I chose to change my career. I trained under my best friend, Craig, who had recently begun his journey in the electrical trade. After becoming licensed, I established Paumalu Electric. Today, I operate the business with three of my sons and two other highly skilled young men. Despite the company’s growth and esteemed reputation, I always carve out time to ride the waves as often as possible.
