Company Overview

Paumalu Electric has been a trusted name on Oahu’s North Shore for more than 45 years. We focus on residential services such as new construction, full re-wiring, renovations, and upgrades. We also provide installation of EV charging receptacles, saunas, cold plunges, lighting, device upgrades, AC power connections, and various other services. We also handle light commercial projects and have collaborated with organizations like the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

With over 40 years of experience, Paumalu Electric has established itself in the community. We are based on Oahu's North Shore, dedicated to delivering quality service. The owner, David Hancock, holds a license as an Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He possesses an ES certification, which is Hawaii's designation for master Electricians.

I moved to Hawai'i in 1969 to ride the waves and pursue the life I had always dreamed of as a California surfer. I began by shaping and glassing surfboards, but after marrying my lovely wife, Peggy, and starting a family, I decided to shift my career. I trained under my best friend, Craig, who had recently begun his journey in the electrical trade. After becoming licensed, I established Paumalu Electric. Now, I run the business alongside three of my sons and two other skilled young men. While the company has grown and earned respect, I still make it a point to surf whenever I can.
