Paumalu Electric has been a trusted name on Oahu’s North Shore for more than 45 years. We specialize in residential solutions, including new construction, comprehensive rewiring, renovations, and upgrades. Our offerings extend to installing EV charging units, saunas, cold plunges, lighting systems, device upgrades, AC power connections, and much more. Our team takes on light commercial work and has partnered with clients such as the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

Paumalu Electric has been operating for over four decades. Located on Oahu's North Shore, we are committed to quality service. The owner, David Hancock, holds a license as an Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He possesses an ES certification, which is Hawaii's designation for master Electricians.

When I arrived in Hawai'i in 1969, my goal was to surf and live the dream I envisioned as a young surfer from California. Initially, I shaped and glassed surfboards, but after marrying my wonderful wife, Peggy, and starting a family, I chose to change my career. I learned the trade from my best friend, Craig, who had just entered the electrical field before me. Once I obtained my license, I founded Paumalu Electric. Today, I operate the business with three of my sons and two other highly skilled young men. While the company has grown and earned respect, I still make it a point to surf whenever I can.
