Company Overview

For over 45 years, Paumalu Electric has proudly served Oahu’s North Shore. Our expertise includes residential services like new builds, complete rewiring, renovations, and enhancements. Our offerings extend to installing EV charging units, saunas, cold plunges, lighting systems, device upgrades, AC power connections, and much more. We also handle light commercial projects and have collaborated with organizations like the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

Paumalu Electric has been operating for over four decades. We are based on Oahu's North Shore, dedicated to delivering quality service. David Hancock, the owner, is a licensed Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He holds an ES certification, the designation for master Electricians in Hawaii.

In 1969, I came to Hawai'i to surf and embrace the lifestyle I had longed for as a young Californian surfer. I started out shaping and glassing surfboards, but after marrying my amazing wife, Peggy, and beginning a family, I opted for a new career path. I trained under my best friend, Craig, who had recently begun his journey in the electrical trade. After becoming licensed, I established Paumalu Electric. Today, I operate the business with three of my sons and two other highly skilled young men. Even though the company has expanded and gained a solid reputation, I still find time to catch some waves whenever possible.
