Company Overview

For over 45 years, Paumalu Electric has proudly served Oahu’s North Shore. We specialize in residential solutions, including new construction, comprehensive rewiring, renovations, and upgrades. Additionally, we install EV charging stations, saunas, cold plunges, lighting fixtures, device upgrades, AC power connections, and more. We also handle light commercial projects and have collaborated with organizations like the Waialua Community Association, Coffee Gallery, Sunglasses Hut, Wy's Gallery, and Sunset Beach Elementary School.

For more than 40 years, Paumalu Electric has been in operation. Situated on Oahu's North Shore, we focus on providing exceptional service. David Hancock, our owner, is a certified Electrical Contractor and Supervisor. He holds an ES certification, the designation for master Electricians in Hawaii.

In 1969, I came to Hawai'i to surf and embrace the lifestyle I had longed for as a young Californian surfer. Initially, I shaped and glassed surfboards, but after marrying my wonderful wife, Peggy, and starting a family, I chose to change my career. I learned the trade from my best friend, Craig, who had just entered the electrical field before me. Once I obtained my license, I founded Paumalu Electric. I currently manage the company with three of my sons and two other talented individuals. Despite the company’s growth and esteemed reputation, I always carve out time to ride the waves as often as possible.
