I called him to have some outlets installed and he set an appt with to come over and give me a price on Monday morning at 9 AM. He didn't show or even have courtesy of calling me after I took off from work to wait for him. I called when he was 25 minutes late to see if he was still coming and left a voicemail. He never called back even days later. That's awful discourteous and poor customer service and I own a business where I provide service at people's house as well and we would never not call and ignore an appt.

Price alert! I used Johnny once before for several projects in my house- installing ceiling fans, removing old/bad wiring, placing new outlets, and fixing bad outlets (our house was a mess). Jonathan was awesome. He does outstanding work. So naturally, the first thing I did when I had a problem with an outlet was to call Pacific Electrical.
Our dishwasher broke down, and the appliance repairman told us that the polarity of the outlet was reversed, and it fried the motherboard of my dishwasher. I called Johnny and he said he'd be able to accommodate me the next day, which was great. (I wouldn't be there because I'd be at work, but my wife was home.) So the appointment time comes and goes, and soon it's been 90 minutes and no word. I contacted him and he told me he forgot to write down the appointment. He was very apologetic and and said that he could be at my house in an hour. He also offered to reschedule. Ordinarily I'd say ""that's life, it happens."" But with very young children at home on a tight schedule, it would make it that much more difficult on my wife, who had already rearranged her schedule based on the original appointment time. However, we needed the work done ASAP, so we had him come 2 hours after the original appointment.
He was in and out in less than 30 minutes, having fixed the outlet by reversing the wires. To my later astonishment, the bill for this was $200. My wife paid him (she had screaming babies and thus no time to think). I had never heard of such a thing. I contacted Johnny and he said yes, a service call has a flat rate of $200. I know all about Caveat Emptor; however, this information is nowhere on his website and he did not volunteer it when I talked to him. (Not that he was obligated to, but I think it would be good business practice to inform your customer ahead of time. I definitely should have asked.)
I informed him that I felt it was outrageous to charge $200 to adjust the wiring on a single outlet, particularly as we were repeat customers and he was 2 hours late for the appointment. In the meantime I called around to other electricians and got quotes between $80-$100. Additionally, I read another Yelp review than mentioned his dropping the price $50 on a job because it was ""easier than expected"" (Sandra B., review of 3/26/2016). So I thought $100 would be fair. He told me that no one has ever questioned his rates and that he'd given me a full refund if I was dissatisfied with his work or if I felt I deserved it. Well, I don't deserve to have work done for free, and I am not dissatisfied with his work. So I lose, because our ethics and ideas regarding integrity do not match.
I will not give him one star, because he does excellent work. I will not give him two stars, because he is very polite, helpful, and professional. I will give him no more than three stars because of the reasons I outlined.
If you have a project, call Johnny. If you need a service call, there are lots of other five-star electricians on Yelp who will not charge you $200 for 15-20 minutes of work.

Jonny is a very talented electrician. He finds ways to make the most difficult projects work. I will always look to him for all of our electrical needs. Call him! You will not be disappointed!

Being the daughter of one of the BEST ELECTRICIAN Ever , Jonathon Jurick, owner of Pacific Electrical is hands down the closet I have seen to perfection since my Father. Working with contractors my whole career, and finding not only the quality and Jonny is a true perfectionist. He will stay no matter how long it takes to get the job perfect and not charge overtime. His positive energy was truly electric,( no pun intended) In the most stressful situation he kept his cool and explained every detail about what needed to be done and how we could make it cost effective. He not only is electrician but a True Jack of all Trades. Thought my Dad was one of a kind. Lucky for us there are still some true business owners that take a Pride in there craft and treat there customers with respect and not just as the next paycheck. Thank You Mr Jurick.
Best Regards,
D

The positive Yelp reviews are accurate. Johnny is the best electrician I've ever used. He's efficient, knowledgeable, responsive and his fee was reasonable. I was pleased to see a young man with good manners and a strong work ethic. Maybe there's still hope for this country.

Goes above and beyond to be the Best! A pleasure to work with. All around great job- good trouble shooter, realistic, tidy, and friendly. Did a perfect job on adding electrical outlets in marble kitchen backsplash. Would definitely use again-great electrician. Thank You Jonny.

Johnny returned after doing great work last November. This time he installed a baseboard heater in a guest bedroom finished space behind the garage. He did a very nice job to cut and patch the drywall to run power to the heater, so the wall is ready for painters to fill and paint.

How often have you received a quote from a contractor, agreed to the price, then when they arrived on site they said, ""this job is easier than I expected so I'm going to charge you less than we agreed""? Never, right? Until now. Johnny quoted me a price to install a 20amp/120volt outlet for a new toy, then upon arrival decided to reduce the price fifty bucks. Unfathomable honesty!
I wasn't here when he completed the work, but my man said he was quick, clean, and incredibly polite (as in letting him know when there was going to be a lot of noise so as not to disturb any phone calls). The outlet is working great; I'm using it right now. No mess or drywall dust left behind. No brainer. Any future electrical jobs, Johnny will be my first and only call.

I've no doubt Johnny is a fantastic electrician who deserves all his 5-star reviews but was disappointed when he flatly refused to install a Q-See security system, saying he installed several in the past and vowed, ""Never again.""
He said their software was crap and their cables were crap. I replied that may have been true of earlier models but I bought ours based on stellar reviews. Have since learned of several family members who have, and love, their Q-See systems.
I'm not an electrician or computer whiz but got our system up and running quickly and easily, with Q-See's excellent support help. If I can do it, anyone can.
The software works flawlessly, and we can monitor our security system from both an iPhone and iPad. Still need to have the cameras mounted, but due to Johnny's reluctance and sky-high quote ($1100-1200) to use his own cables, I'll be looking elsewhere. By the way, far from being crap, the BNC cables Q-See presently bundles are impressively strong, solid--and shielded.

I had a service emergency when my electrical went out on my fridge. This was a day before Christmas Eve and Johnny was able to find a place to come out the next day! He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed a previous person's work, and made a can light come alive again. Afterwards he did an excellent job cleaning up.
I could not be happier with his service, ability, and attitude and will definitely use his work in the future. I will recommend him to all of my neighbors and friends!
