How often have you received a quote from a contractor, agreed to the price, then when they arrived on site they said, ""this job is easier than I expected so I'm going to charge you less than we agreed""? Never, right? Until now. Johnny quoted me a price to install a 20amp/120volt outlet for a new toy, then upon arrival decided to reduce the price fifty bucks. Unfathomable honesty!

I wasn't here when he completed the work, but my man said he was quick, clean, and incredibly polite (as in letting him know when there was going to be a lot of noise so as not to disturb any phone calls). The outlet is working great; I'm using it right now. No mess or drywall dust left behind. No brainer. Any future electrical jobs, Johnny will be my first and only call.

I've no doubt Johnny is a fantastic electrician who deserves all his 5-star reviews but was disappointed when he flatly refused to install a Q-See security system, saying he installed several in the past and vowed, ""Never again.""

He said their software was crap and their cables were crap. I replied that may have been true of earlier models but I bought ours based on stellar reviews. Have since learned of several family members who have, and love, their Q-See systems.

I'm not an electrician or computer whiz but got our system up and running quickly and easily, with Q-See's excellent support help. If I can do it, anyone can.

The software works flawlessly, and we can monitor our security system from both an iPhone and iPad. Still need to have the cameras mounted, but due to Johnny's reluctance and sky-high quote ($1100-1200) to use his own cables, I'll be looking elsewhere. By the way, far from being crap, the BNC cables Q-See presently bundles are impressively strong, solid--and shielded.

I had a service emergency when my electrical went out on my fridge. This was a day before Christmas Eve and Johnny was able to find a place to come out the next day! He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed a previous person's work, and made a can light come alive again. Afterwards he did an excellent job cleaning up.

I could not be happier with his service, ability, and attitude and will definitely use his work in the future. I will recommend him to all of my neighbors and friends!

I hired Pacific electrical after a long research on similar Electricians in the Newport Beach area and Jonathan lived up to all the reviews and positive feedback that is out there for his business.

He showed up right on time and got to work right away. He made sure his work space was adequately covered with protective material as to not damage anything and always cleaned up as he moved from one room to another.

He installed a total of two chandeliers, one lighting fixture, and two ceiling fans in my house. He was very through with his work and triple checked everything to make sure it is perfectly installed and working properly. One of the chandeliers went up to a 21 ft. ceiling on a slope, which could be reached literally by a narrow hallway opening that required a near 90 degree angle ladder access, an incredible feat and Jonathan got it done!

Overall, I am very satisfied with all his work, prices, professionalism, and personality as a service provider and strongly recommend him for all your electrical needs.

Pacific Electrical gets 5 stars plus!!! Johnathan deserves a great review. His work is excellent. He was totally professional and knowledgeable. Most impressively, he finished installation of exterior lights and repositioning and installation of an exterior front entry light this afternoon that took far longer than planned because of difficulties created by the house construction. Even when he needed to come back for a second day to complete the job, he continued work without complaint, persisted in completing the work, and did not ask or try to charge more then his original reasonable quote. I will ask him to do additional electrical work.

Pacific Electrical has been a trusted, efficient, cost effective, and knowledgable contractor for my household. In fact, Jonny's work has been so good, I have hired Jonny to work on my parents house! In total, Pacific Electrical has performed 6 jobs for me, so I've exercised Jonny's electrical knowhow, skill, AND patience extensively between 2009 - 2013. Below is a summary for each separate job, in chronological order:

1) inspection and minor servicing to 2 electrical panels in my house. I hired Pacific Electrical just after moving in, because I did not trust the accuracy of the assessment by the house inspector I hired during escrow. It paid off: Jonny immediately recognized the make and material deficiencies of the 30 year old panels, and thoroughly inspected and serviced them for our safety on the spot.

2) electrical hook up of 2 attic fans. I had them installed by a roofing contractor, and Jonny efficiently performed the electrical hook up. In addition, he installed switches in a very convenient location in the garage to turn them on and off. These baby's keep us cool - I live in the valley and I only run the AC 5-10 days/year! (For a data point, my house will be ~ 80deg when it's 95deg outside WITHOUT THE AC.)

3) AV installation for master bed and bath. This installation was EXTREMELY challenging and took over 3 days. Several of the challenges: a] installation of Samsung 55"" LED TV above a fireplace, with all cabling routed with fireplace heat in mind, b] custom tongue-in-groove hardwood walls that had to be carefully dismantled and reinstalled without any damage, c] installation of high end Yamaha Aventage AV multi-room receiver for 2 sound zones, with all cabling for power & AV hook ups invisible behind wall and crawlspace, d] installation of Mirage 5.1 speaker system in master bedroom Zone 1, e] installation of Bose cube speakers in master bathroom for Zone 2, f] additional wiring and hookups for HDMI, VGA, digital TOSLINK audio, and analog audio in alternate bedroom location 30 ft from the Yamaha AV unit.

This installation was performed over 3 days, included high grade components including ~$600 worth of shielded AV cabling alone. I'm happy to report that the installation was performed WITHOUT a single damaged wooden board or piece of moulding in either the master bedroom or master bathroom. The installation was complex, and succeeded in satisfying all of my AV desires: 1) all my AV equipment is hidden in an armoire, all you see is the TV, 7 small speakers, 1 sub, and NO WIRES. 2) listen to music from internet sources, my networked hard drives, control my receiver from my phone. 3) sit in bed and plug in a computer, iPod, or anything else and get HD video and sound, 4) have my wife listen to something else while she sits in the tub in the bathroom!

4) installation of recessed lights for master bedroom, master bath, office, and guest bedroom. Over 2 days, Jonny efficiently installed 22 recessed lights. Again, he did this WITHOUT A SINGLE MISTAKE, so all the custom wood ceilings I have are in tact. This job also required the installation of numerous dimmer switches which I had Jonny choose. Why? Because they work with the current CFL bulbs to save energy, and are compatible with the next generation of LED bulbs I'll install next! In addition, a new outlet was installed in the master bath, again on a custom wood wall, with no damage.

5) AV installation in my parents house. This was a gift for me parents, and came out beautifully. This job was like most other AV installs (no custom would, not 100's of feet of cabling) and not a challenge for Jonny, and was completed efficiently in under 3 hours. My parents were thrilled with Jonny's respectful and courteous manners, and told me they would have him back for any other work they needed.

6) AV installation in living room. This was another extremely challenging 3 day installation of a Samsung 50"" LED TV, Yamaha Aventage receiver, Mirage 7.2 speaker system. Again, custom wood on walls. This install has 7 satellite speakers, and 2 subwoofers! I like my hookups, so this time we had 3 hookups with HDMI, TOSLINK digital audio, analog audio placed in different locations far from the receiver, requiring 100 ft cabling for many of the hookups. Again, the installation is invisible except for the speakers, subs, and TV. Jonny expertly made hook ups with keystone connectors within my wetbar. All my AV equipment is hidden in the wet bar, and I have a IR sensor so I can just my remote toward the drinky drinks and pump up the volume.

I will continue to hire Pacific Electrical for my home, and highly recommend Jonny to others. His skill set is diverse, with years of experience spanning residential and commercial services.
