Recommended Customer Reviews

This is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. We had a hot water heater installed in June because our well water was smelling very bad. We paid ove $1,000. The smell did not leave so we called and asked them to replace the rod in the tank that was supossed to stop the smell. It is now 4 months later and they do not respond to calls or inquiries. Finally after 2 months the owner said he hadn't gotten back to us because he had ""family crisis"". It is now 2 moths after ""the family crisis"" and he still has not taken care of the problem nor has he returned any of our calls. He must be having another ""family crisis"".

Few days ago I received a call from the owner. He asked me everything about what happened , apologized and returned my payment. Very professional.

I've heard good things, but they stood me up.

We had our furnace replaced with a new high efficiency furnace (Dec. '13) and then we had our ducts removed (by a special contractor) and then Ongaro put the new ducts in a couple of weeks ago in March, 2014. Both of these projects were significant, and Ongaro did an exceptional job through the entire process. Our technician was knowledgeable and hard-working and his goal was to ensure we were happy with the outcome. Acknowledging our investment in the new system, he said, ""just call us anytime there's an issue or you need us. We want to make sure things are perfect"". Every contact we have had with Ongaro has been positive, whether it's the office receptionist or the technicians. Honorable mentions go to Charlie and Chad for making sure our heating and HVAC needs have been met!

Incredible service. During the last big freeze this year, our water pipes (over the roof) froze and exploded. Ongaro was able to send someone out for the early afternoon which was a huge relief.
Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us great service. The water had refrozen on the roof as the evening approach but Jason persevered through some difficult circumstances. He completed a very difficult job with a great attitude.
Yesterday, we had some work done at our rental property and luckily Jason was available. He listened to my input and then thoroughly checked, repaired and trouble shot our plumbing issue.
I wholeheartedly recommend Jason for his knowledge and great customer service. He is a huge part of the success of Ongaro.

I've had 2 occasions where I spoke with management/owners at Ongaro. The first repair was done for the seller on the home I was purchasing when my property inspection found a problem in the furnace. The seller had Ongaro put in a new furnace 5 years prior to my purchase and then bought their ""maintenance contract"". Stange to me that during the regular maintenance none of Ongaro tech's noticed the problem, because once the cover on the furnace was removed during my inspection it was very apparent (even to my untrained eye) because of rust that had been forming inside for sometime. In order to complete the purchase transaction the seller was obligated to correct the issue and paid to Ongaro almost $1,700 to fix the problem on a 5 year old furnance. I thought because it was a high-end furnace and because it was only 5 years old that I would have a furnace that would last at least another 10-15 years. My mistake. Now 2 years later the furnace needs a new ""mother board"" to the cost of $1,300. I called Ongaro to ask if this was normal or if there had been a recall from the manufacturer on this particular model furnace. When speaking with the owner I tried to refresh his memory on the original repair when I bought the house. He could care less. His attitude was you have a 10 year old furnace, deal with it. I had at least expected that they would suggest someone could come out and look at it seeing as they installed the original furnace, then did a costly repair in year five and had been servicing the furnace under their so-called ""maintenance contract"" for the previous owner. But no. I will have to make the repair but I won't be giving any more money to Ongaro.

Fantastic, thorough and professional. We finally broke down and had A/C installed this summer. Thank god we did. Once Ongaro & Sons was finished, our home went from unbearable to totally enjoyable. Their team was excellent and I highly recommend this company.
As first time homeowners, I appreciated that their estimate was the same as the final bill. We had a complicated space for them to work in and they did an amazing job. Thank you!

I will never call this company again. I requested service from their employee that specialises in the brand of heating system that is installed in my house. He never returned my call but I called him back after 2 weeks, thinking that perhaps he never received my message. I was wrong - I spoke with him and his first words were ""you're not talking to PG@E"". I thought he was being serious and apologised about the mix-up. He then explained that he was the employee of Ongaro's but was experiencing ""personal problems"". He continued to be extremely rude and I just decided to end the call. I then reported the conversation to one of the owners and he made excuses for this employee's behavior If you want good service, I suggest you don't call this company. They aren't even polite when you're calling for service. Imagine what kind of work they perform!

Just used Ongaro for the first time. Had a minor problem in my new house, Ongaro is the company the previous owner used. Scott explained the problem, fixed it, was on time and friendly.

Too expensive, and less 6 months after coming over, the day before a long weekend, the toilet has the exact same problem. The part was over $300, plus labor, and the job added up to over $500 (including one other minor plumbing job).
Plumber clearly did not want to do the work, and clearly wanted to start his weekend. He whined his way through the job, and just wanted to leave asap to the next job. I ended up hiring a different guy to finish the other work that needed to be done - who was cheaper, glad to have the work, and has since been used for a very large job on our property. Can only imagine what Ongaro would've charged for that!
Was going to write a review last year, but held off, thinking ""oh well, lessoned learned. Ongaro's is expensive, and will never use them again."" But now, as of two days ago, having the same problem with the toilet - same sound, same everything, will gladly slam the company.
This is a tough economy, and I am glad we have found a reliable, happy-to-be-in-work plumber.
5/1/13 Unfortunately your technician's work product/attitude represented Ongaro, and I was so surprised at how quickly the work did not hold up, made a decision to have no further contact with your company. Have since found a reputable plumber, who has repaired the work done by Ongaro. I am very happy with my current plumber, thank you.
