Honestly, when I first realized we had a leak on this property that I manage for a friend, my immediate and only reaction was the headache that I was about to deal with. Yet the headache never materialized. And that is all due to the superior level of service provided at every level by each and every person working at Ongaro & Sons.

I can not say enough good things about my experience working with the amazing group of people that work here. Everyone I interacted with here blew me away with their professional approach wrapped and delivered in the most sincere and kind package possible. These guys and gals take pride in going the extra mile in exceeding the expectations of their customers.

Sorry if I forget a name or two here but the list of professionals who have turned me into a serious fan of this place include 1&2) Nicole and Maegan who answer the phones with such care and pleasantness and help with the logistics 3) Jordan, the original service agent whose sincere approach convinced me to do a bunch of other necessary upgrades 4) Dominique, the phenomenal installer who spent a whole day installing the necessary upgrades and 5) this other service agent (whose name unfortunately escapes me at this time) who needed to be somewhat of a contortionist to do all that insulation work in between the pipes, all the way to the fantastic supervisors like 6) the very knowledgeable and caring Roberto, who showed up the following day along with 7) another great service agent, Abel, to address a small matter that had been overlooked in the original quote, simply to make certain that I was a satisfied customer.

It is no wonder that the Leak Detection Specialist guy (from another outfit) was so pleased to hear of my decision to use Ongaro & Sons for the job. His exact words were ""those are the guys that I would call if I had any plumbing issues ever"". And although his recommendation was reassuring, I had no clue that as a result of searching on Yelp that day, I would end up turning into a hardcore advocate for some plumbing company. But I was so blown away by the quality of the service provided by these guys that I felt that the least that I could do in return would be to write them a good review right where I found them in the first place.

What's more is that as I was bragging to my wife about what a great experience it has been dealing with these guys for the past few days, she told me that she had a bunch of plumbing work that she had had in mind for some time to be done around our own house and had not found the right guys for the job. Guess who we're going to be calling now? You guessed it: Ongaro & Sons! (and so that's going to be my very first referral of many more to come that I will be sending their way in the future).

I was paying $7/month for ""priority scheduling and annual maintenance check."" apparently too good a deal to be true. I attempted to schedule 2-3 months ago, was assured someone would call me back for scheduling, which never happened. Sent a follow up email about a month laterthat was never answered. A waste of money and my time. Suggest you consider another HVAC company.

Needed a new water heater- hate to hire people to work in my house. Their bid was higher than expected, and I did not think I needed various ""code"" upgrands- but in fact I did need the upgrades and I am very happy with the quality of the materials, the workmanship- and the professional and low key demeanor of Alex C . who did the work.

Rental with furnace that would not come on. The technician was nice enough and quickly deduced that the draft inducer motor had seized up. He said it would take a week to get the part, and then I'd have to get on the schedule to install. I asked if he could see any other issues and he said of course he would take a look as part of his service call. He pulled the blower and announced, within earshot of my renters, that the unit was packed with dirt, and the intake had holes where the gas pipe came in and the AC piping went out that were likely toxic, possibly moldy air that were being drawn into the house. Then he said that since unit was 16 years old and not one of the ""better"" models and that the heat exchanger was coated with dirt, that the gas furnace it should be replaced. He said that replacement would also require replacement of the AC system since the cooling coils were integral and it would probably run around $16k. My renters were mortified.

I researched the brand (ICP, the parent company of Carrier) and it is highly rated. I ordered the $115 part that night and paid an extra $30 to have it overnighted. Ongaro would not install it since I procured it so I got it put on otherwise the next day, had the furnace cleaned out, and sealed the open areas around the gas line inlet and cooling piping outlet. It took about an hour. Works fine.

I do not appreciate a company trying to sell me a new, overprice system when an easy repair will suffice, and even worse, talking trash about my unit in front of my tenants.

Homeowners without heat and any experience with mechanical systems are so vulnerable. Is there any level of profit that will be enough Ernie?

We called Ongaro & Sons to install a new wall heater in an apartment we own in San Rafael. Overall, we found them to be very professional. Their prices were competitive, they had great follow-thru and they completed the job in a very timely & orderly manner. Their office staff was also very friendly and courteous. We highly recommend them for any HVAC project you may have!

Great team did a fine job, on time and with minimal interruption. Replaced all the duct work, and installed a new furnace. Jose, Raul and Rob were always respectful and careful (always masked) and they kept us informed of their progress. Professional work, warm house!

We decided to have our very old furnace checked before using it this year, Nicholas couldn't perform full maintenance on it due to it's age. He didn't charge for coming out and gave us a free quote on the spot. The office staff was on top of scheduling our install (furnace, AC and new duct work as it was all from the 50's). We had to postpone our installation, but Don got us in just a few days later. Jose, Raul, and Rob came out to do the install, they were highly professional and even stayed a few hours late to finish up instead of coming back for a 3rd day (thank you!!). You can not ask for better group of people to work with! I won't hesitate to contact them again in the future.

I had a new heater and air conditioner installed last Monday, and the old ones removed. The job was originally scheduled to take two days, but Jose & Eric completed everything in less than eight hours. That also included the installation of a new programmable thermostat, which Jose showed me how to program and programmed it on the spot according to my preferences.
Both young men were completely professional, even down to cleaning up the garage floor of leaves, etc. that they weren't even responsible for.
Both units work beautifully -- quiet and efficient.
I couldn't be happier with their work and with the new heater & AC.

Ongaro did a great job installing some major plumbing needs for our home and was very courteous and professional. But that's not all...

Douglas in particular deserves a good Samaritan review as he single handedly rescued a fawn in severe distress whose head got trapped in our fence during the visit. Used his tools to help the wailing animal out safely rather than us waiting for animal control, whose ETA was TBD.

Talk about going the extra mile.
