I called before July 4th. I got a call back same day. It was a good call but the guy asked if he could get back to me after the holidays. I said no problem then waited a week- no call. I called again and got hung up on. He called right back, said he had bad reception and would call me back. NO CALL, no text, no email. Went with Raceway Electric who scheduled a meeting the next day.

If i could leave 6/5 stars I would. John came over to help, on his day off and was so professional, nice and all around genuine. I was initially a bit freaked out as the power had completely gone out in our kitchen and this had been an on and off problem for a week. My wife and I couldn't figure out what the problem was. After John got here he assured me it was a simple fix and even taught me a little on how replacing the outlets and breakers for our home works. The best experience I have ever had working with an Electrician. I will definitely be calling John back if i ever have issues in the future. Definitely will be recommending to my friends and family that live in the SD area as well.

We had a problem with an outlet being hot and producing a strange fishy smell. John came out same day. He quickly fixed the problem. He then looked at another outlet in the garage that was falling apart and he fixed that too. Highly competent, good communicator, reasonable pricing. Would certainly recommend.

We came home to a loss of power in half our house. I called John early in the morning the next day and he was able to come out that day and fix the whole problem in about a half an hour. He was able to switch out a burned out breaker and identify another that was sure to be next. Price was extremely reasonable, communication was great, and John is a very nice guy. I was fortunate Ocean Electric was able to come the same day I called. They fixed my living room outlets that stopped working. I was also interested in getting a security camera installed in the future and he gave me some great recommendations to help save me some money. I highly recommend Ocean Electric and will definitely use them in the future if I have any other electrical issues. They were fast, reliable, responsive, and knew what they were doing. Amazing service!

On a cold Friday night half my house suddenly went dark...including the central heating. I checked the breakers and nothing had tripped. Switching them off and on did make an electrical crackling noise though...so I knew I was in some trouble.

I called Ocean Electric Saturday morning and John was able to come by the same day. It's a 70-year old house with the ancient breaker-box to match, but he quickly diagnosed the issue and had a plan to fix it. After several hours of effort he was able to work a minor miracle and got the power back up and running. When it came time to pay the charges were very reasonable, especially considering all the effort involved.

I would definitely recommend John and Ocean Electric's services and will be going to them when I upgrade my breaker box later this year.

John is really a nice guy and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, he was very unreliable and unresponsive despite my many efforts to be patient with him. Essentially, I Had a 2 phase project with him. Took extra effort to get the first phase setup and scheduled. He disappeared on me after that and wouldn't return any calls or texts. Left me in a bad spot and hand to start from scratch and hire someone else to finish the project he started. I wish him And his business well as he really seems like a great guy. Wish he just would have been more honest about his availability instead of not responding. That is not the way to do business in any trade or industry.

John is really great! Had some wiring mixed up in our bedrooms after installing ceiling fans and he came right out and redid the wiring in both rooms. He also fixed an outlet that wasn't quite right as he was on his way out just because I asked him a question about it (and he was already off the clock) Great customer service!!I will definitely be using him again and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a good friendly honest electrician!
