John is the absolute best! He is honest with his recommendations and doesn't try to upsell you or do things that aren't necessary. We've had him out to our place several times to install ceiling fans, fix our fuse box, and change all of our switches/outlets. He always gives reasonable quotes and even though we have had many complications along the way he never raised the price! I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable, and affordable electrician!

He is meticulous with his work and helped bring many outlets and switches in my house up to code during this process. He uses state of the art equipment and products to give the best installation of lighting fixtures possible. He worked with me on ordering my light switches online to save me money. When an outlet melted in our kitchen, Ocean Electric came out promptly and fixed the problem at a reasonable cost. They took the time to answer our many questions and to explain why the problem occurred and what we could do to prevent it happening again. They also found a code violation in our electrical box and fixed it with little additional cost. We will definitely call them again for any future electrical work we need.

These guys are GREAT!!!! I had a breaker go out in my office that powered my server. I called several electricians and no one could help me that day but John said he would be there in 5 minutes. His office was not even open, but he came in early when I needed him.

After assessing the situation, he was able to correctly diagnose the problem and fix it. My server was up and running and I could resume my work. He is honest and professional. I will be using Ocean Electric for all my electrical services going forward.

My husband and I were very pleased to have found John! I called up Ocean Electric after reading other Yelp reviews, and he answered right away. He was very easygoing on the phone, was extremely knowledgeable, and was willing to come out the same evening (I called him after 5 pm and was not expecting someone to make it out until the next day!). He came out, was able to troubleshoot the problem, made a quick run to the hardware store, came back and had it all taken care of before we got the kids to bed. Our problem ended up being the outside front light fixture went bad and had literally fried itself, and was tripping a breaker in our house. While he was here, he also replaced some loose outlets and installed a GFI outlet in our Kitchen. His price was extremely fair. In addition to the quick and excellent service, John really seems like a great guy. He was honest, friendly, and down-to-earth. He even took a few minutes to reminisce with us about growing up in Santee. I'd recommend him to anyone, and I know who I will call next time! Very professional! A+

Yesterday my breaker went out and left me without power to my range and microwave. After one day I realized that I could not survive without these two appliances. I checked yelp and found John from Ocean Electric. He was on another job, but was very patient and courteous; he said he would come out by the end of his day. I just had a great feeling about him over the phone, and I was not disappointed. He came out on same day notice and changed my breaker and was very professional. I highly recommend Ocean Electric, and I plan to call John for future work.

He came over on the day of the Super Bowl fixed our breaker that shut down power in our entire home, just in time for the Super Bowl. We definitely will be using him again. I must tell you, we recently did a remodel and have had nothing but nightmares all around; until John and his crew showed up. This job was not a small job and needless to say, I was stressed about it. When John and his crew showed up, the first thing out of his mouth was to not worry and he had this. I showed John what I wanted done and he got right to work. John was extremely honest and he told me upfront exactly what everything was going to cost, something up until that point was obsolete. He also gave me a ton of ideas on moving switches and outlets so that it would better suit me in the long run. On top of that, he also made sure that he was very precise when he installed anything. This was a pretty big job but John was there on time everyday and came prepared to work.

One of the biggest things that blew my mind was his time schedule. ALOT of companies offer 24/7 service but you never hear back from them or they tend to leave a job right at 5 pm. Not John! There were a couple nights towards the end of the job in which he and I were out till midnight trying to finish up the job so we could move on to other things.

If ANYONE needs any electrician work done, don't hesitate to call Ocean Electric. I know in the future, I will be calling them again!

John was Brilliant! Everything I could want from an electrician. Came round promptly (the Saturday after Christmas) and fixed our breaker. He also gave me lots of honest tips and guidance about other ideas / options to improve our panel down the line, should we want to, and gave us an honest reality check on what others had told us in the past. Lots of electricians on here and Angies list advertise as 24/7 and they go to VM / don't call back or later call you and tell you they don't work weekends, but John returned my call after around 10 minutes and was around in less than an hour, with our problem fixed less than an hour and a half after the original call. Would recommend / refer and use again in a heartbeat. Great guy, amazing Service.
