They were able to install my generator transfer switch and perform a follow up test to confirm I understood all the hookup steps in order during a power outage.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Just had Mr. Electric come to my home for an estimate to replace a street lamp. He insisted to inspect my entire house just to replace 1 light. Then he comes back and tries a scare tactic like your house is going to burn down and everyone is going to get electricuted if you don't let him do full eletrical ""tune up"" and a bunch of other things. Kind of like auto mechanics when you take your car in for an oil change and they tell you that you need $3000 worth of repairs. Stay away from these guys - Mr. Sparky is a much better and trust worthy vendor.
I told the technician upon arrival I needed a GFCI switch replaced, a 15-minute job which should have been a minimum service charge. Instead, he said he needed to first diagnose the problem which cost me more than $600. The problem was exactly what I told him it was, a faulty GFCI switch.
He also presented additional estimates for $2,728 in unnecessary work. I received a follow-up survey and expressed my concerns and never heard back from them.
Service tech showed up on time. Had to replace a breaker. Suggested a ridiculous price that I had to call him out on. He then offered half the price he quoted me. Absurd he tried to scam me like that. Giving a second star instead of just one because he got the job done.
I was having issues with my smoke alarms and was contacted soon after making my inquiry. Scheduling was easy and a technician and apprentice came out right away. They were thorough, able to update my alarms and bring other things to code that same day. They were very professional and I have peace of mind knowing everything is updated and functioning well. A good experience and I'm glad I found this business.
Three electrical items I need done to the house. Robert completed all three and saved me $200+. The jobs were done professionally, and fully answered all my questions. I will use Mr. Electric again.
Trish C.I left a review for this company. It wasn't good, as the electrician tried to scam me. The owner of the company then leaves a comment that I can't respond to with false claims that suggest I'm some sort of slum lord...I actually live in the home myself, so he's just trying to discredit me. He then asserted that his electrician knew more about my electrical system by walking down the side of my home than two inspectors and a crew of electricians who helped with the renovation 2 months earlier. He even lied about the quote I was given on the spot by his man. Instead of asking me more questions and considering whether his employee was trying to scam money on the side, he leaves a comment making accusations that are completely unfounded about me and my interaction with his employee. He wasn't there. He has no idea what went down. Let's see if he leaves another comment and blocks me from responding.
Tamer S.Just Don't
I requested a quote for a breaker box , they came up with $4,000 - attached is their quote - I got the same job done by local company , with 20 year warranty, and $2 million dollar insurance . For $1,100.
After the job was done I decided to call Mr electric and inquire what exactly is going on , how come they are way off - the lady who answered became defensive , and gave an example of buying a Louis Vuitton vs buying from Walmart.
I assure you the local company I hired were more honest , efficient and delivered a speedy service than this company.
I don't recommend this company
Had a repairman come and replace and outdoor light fixture. Job took about 20 minutes and the technician was responsive and did a high quality job (including finding a nice matching silicone sealant to put around the mount plate.
However, let's talk price. Was originally quoted $268 for this simple job that I knew would take less than half an hour to complete. Absolutely outrageous. No electrician is worth over $500/hr (keep in mind there were no parts required for the job). Luckily they were willing to negotiate into a reasonable range, but I would severely caution anyone against trusting the competitiveness of any initial quote you get from them without shopping around
After spending too many hours freezing in the house during the power outage last winter and noting that today starts the 2021 Hurricane Season, I decided ""Never again!"" I called Mr. Electric for a free estimate to integrate a portable generator we have for our small camper into the home electric panel. Turns out, they identified the electric panel in our home as a known fire hazard (verified by numerous on-line sources) and we had to have it changed out, too. Never knew it was an issue. The technicians from Mr. Electric, Robert and William, changed the bad panel, mapped and labeled the circuits in the house, installed an inlet for the generator and an interlock for safety, helped determine which circuits could be run with the generator we have, organized and labeled the breakers, and conducted a full-scale test/training of the backup system. They did exactly what they promised at a fair price. We could not be more pleased with Mr. Electric and the results!
