We recently used MR Electric to upgrade our electrical panel to 200 Amps. We were very pleased with the work done by the owner, Martin. He is a hard worker yet pleasant and easy to talk to. His prices are very fair. Even though the weather was unexpectedly hot on the day of the job and Martin was working in full sunlight for part of the day, he completed the work in a timely manner. The electrical panel and all the attachments were properly and neatly installed and we passed city inspection with no problems. Martin also did extras like removing the old panel, patching the roof where necessary and relocating an outside outlet to a more convenient location. If you are looking for an honest, competent and efficient electrician, give MR Electric a call.

I've been trying to hire an electrician for weeks to install (1) a dedicated 240V line, (2) a second/dedicated EV meter/panel (which is not the norm), (3) EV Charging Station and (4) upgrade my existing panel so I can charge my electric vehicle at home. I contacted about four different electricians and most were responsive, but Martín was extremely responsive and extremely pleasant/nice. I called Martín in the evening and he provided me with an extremely fair and reasonable estimate by the next day. (He didn't try to sell me on extra things, he was very honest). Martín's work was very clean and he did a very professional job. Martín was easy to work with and he was very responsive to all my requests and needs. The communication was excellent. Actually, he went above and beyond the call of duty and he made an extra effort to ensure that all of the necessary requirements and documents were in order including pulling the right permits and making multiple trips and calls to the City regarding the permits (keep in mind this is fairly new, installing two meters, so it took a couple attempts with the city until we were all on the same page). Martín was very patient during this entire process and he kept me in the loop and he ALWAYS made himself available to call/meet with the City Inspectors and Southern California Edison. Also, he did a good job working with my schedule. Without his support and dedication to this job, I still would be looking for an electrician. EV and charging stations are fairly new, and if I had to do it all over again, Martín would be the first person I would call. If I have any other electrical work to be done, I would call Martín.

Just had them install a NEMA 14-50 for my Tesla Model 3. My panel is already 200 amps so it was just a matter of installing the 50A breaker and running a conduit under the house to the appropriate spot of where I'll be charging my car.

He (I think his name was Martin? can't remember) came by for a quick estimate. He's super friendly and the price was cheaper than 4 of the 7 total estimates I got.

When the day came to install, he and his helper arrived after 8:30am. They immediately got to work and finished in about 3-4 hours.

Will definitely call him again if I need more electrical work!

Martin upgraded my main panel to 200 amps, grounded my outlets, installed recessed lighting and old pool pump timer, so this is a pretty extensive project. He and his team did all this with minimal amount of patching required.

He also managed to resolve a sticky issue with the city which could delay the release of permit and potentially delay the project.

So the highlights:
* Fair price. Not the cheapest, but you don't want the cheapest contractor for your electrical work.
* Punctual. It was only one time that he missed to show up at the promised time but that was due to he was getting caught up with other projects. But for the rest of the project, he and his team always showed up on time and would communicate with you if he had issues.
* Good communication. You're not in the dark on what day/time he would be at your house and the progress of his work.
* Stand by his work. He took care of a defective equipment and reinstalled it for free.

In short, Martin and his team did all the work within the proposed budget and time.

I would highly recommend MR Electric to do any electrical work you have. He is very professional and knowledgeable, in fact I already did to two other colleagues.

I needed to run a new 220 line from my panel to my garage. This involved removing bricks and cutting into the driveway. Martin and his crew did a fantastic job of running the new line installation the sub panel, outlets, ect.... as well as repairing the driveway and replacing the bricks as if the excavation never happened, very clean job..
His prices are a very fair, would highly recommend
them.

Martin responded quickly to my inquiry. I appreciate that very much. I hired him to install a nest doorbell. I was very impressed with his knowledge although it was the first time he had worked with this product. Him and his helper had to run knew wire and install a be new transformer and chime. All is working great. So happy I called him.

Martin helped me rewire the first floor and upgrade my main panel to 200 amps. He also rewired some items from the old subpanel to the new. I highly recommend him for a few reasons. First, he met all the timelines he gave me, from securing the permit to finishing exactly when he said he would. He also was nice enough to do a few small tasks for me for free. I was worried about the electrical work before we staretd just because of stories I've heard in general, but Martin did great, and I'm glad other people's reviews helped me find him.
