Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with this electrician. We called and they sent someone out right away to take a look at the job and give us a quote. This job included changing out our electrical panel, and we were fine with the quote and started the process. We reached out every week or 10 days to find out what was going on with the process, as he stated they needed to pull permits and work with PG&E. Nearly 6 weeks later we were trying to get clarity on where we were in the process, and the electrician suddenly became irate and confrontive: ""Was I not clear?"" I stated I didn't understand where we were in the process and what was next, and he then said, ""I'm canceling this job.""

We lost six weeks due to waiting for this guy and now have to start over looking for another electrician. I really don't understand why he felt the need to treat us that way. I'm not willing to beg someone and put up with this kind of behavior to get someone to do work for me.

However, I'm super glad to find out that he was this confrontational and unstable before he actually started working on my house. After all, you really need to be able to trust your electrician.

Had problems with my base board heaters. Had 3 other companies look at it. They all charged me but did not fix it. Modern did. They were on time, courteous, and had fair pricing. I would recommend them to anyone for their service, knowledge, and pricing

Quoted us $200 to install two fans, when the work was done they said it took much longer than expected (though I don't know why, since they were remote controlled and didn't need extra wiring run) and said the price had increased to $350. So they either intentionally underquoted or just ripped us off.

Just had Modern electric do some work on our house including installing 3 new light fixtures. When the old ones were removed, they realized they were installed incorrectly. They immediately recognized the issue, solved the problem, and were able to successfully install the new light fixtures in a timely manner. Courteous and professional, safety was also a priority since they wore masks the entire time. Thank you Modern Electric for the excellent work! Highly recommend.

Excellent workmanship!! Jimmy and his team did an amazing job on installing my home battery backup electrical system. As an engineer I'm very picky on quality and workmanship and Jimmy set my new standard! He called on the weekend to set up for the Monday install.. his team showed up on time 7am and worked diligently to get the job done. All the conduit runs were plumb and secure.. The guys were even able to get the runs through the house framing so we didn't need to penetrate outside walls!! That was amazing.. excellent conduit and breaker quality- no short cuts!!! Really nice job Jimmy and your lead guy John knows his stuff!! My wife already has more work lined up for you :) thanks

If you need an electrician, look no further and hire Modern Electric for your job. They listened to my explanation of the problem, asked me questions along the way, took care of the problem, and even put a plug for a new microwave, which I didn't know I'd need. When I called them with my issue, I left a message, and they got back to me in a timely manner, and showed up when they said they would. The two-man crew who came were fast, cleaned up after themselves, and were pleasant and professional. Modern Electric is our company for any future electrical needs.
