called on a Sunday to look at my electrical problem. basically had some lights that just weren't switching on... checked the breaker, and things looked as it should.
so based on yelp reviews, i call MMR, and at first was happy he took my call. i asked him if he could take a look at my problem, and within a couple hours he shows up. yaay!

things start out cool... he quickly diagnose the problem as a local light-switch issue, and opens up the switch plate. apparently a copper wire got loose, so proceeds to clean up the wire and recaps everything. the whole thing didn't take more than 15mins, 30mins max... cost of this house call = $200

i was shocked! to be honest, i thought he was kidding because he says the cost was ""2-bucks"". apparently ""bucks"" means ""hundred!""
i light-heartedly said that that's expensive, but according to Matt, he was giving me a good deal, because normally it would've been blah-blah-blah. in addition, it was the 'boss' that came, and not an underling.
at this point, he already did all the work, and i really couldn't refuse. hey, i'm self-employed too, and understand paying when payments due.
in hindsight, i should've asked how much the house call would've been; in which i would've just shopped around.

bottomline, he fixed it, and now i have lights.
but after all that, i feel like i got hosed. and that feels pretty damn terrible.

Last night all of the kitchen appliances and the heater suddenly went out. No power. All of the circuit breakers appeared to be on, but still no power. I called MMR this morning and Matt, who happened to be in the area made a quick stop. He checked the circuit breakers and ""fiddled"" with one and the POP you heard the power come on. He assured me that the breaker was in good condition. No charge. Let me say that again. No charge. It may have been simple for him, but for us it was very important. Can't say enough about his service. I have already recommended him for another home which needs work done. Call him when you need something done. R.Doten

Called on Monday, was able to come out Friday. Once Matt arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem and got the correct replacement part. He also was willing to explain to me what he was doing so I could fix it myself next time (carefully). Price was reasonable. Would recommend.

Matt came out the same day I called him with my electrical issue at my home. He was able to find the problem that was causing the outage in one of my rooms. He explained to me what was going on. He was very friendly and professional throughout the whole process. I definitely recommend him for any electrical work.

Response through Yelp was very quick and they were out here the next day. They fixed the electrical issue with our dining room chandelier within the hour and the pricing was nearly half of what I was being quoted by other electricians in the area, just for a standard house call. I will have them on speed dial for any other issues our older home will eventually need!

MMR owner Matt is kind, punctual, professional and excellent! I am grateful to Matt and his staff! I am a single woman who is usually uncomfortable having strangers in my home. I instantly felt a level of trust with MMR Electricians. My neighbor is an architect and looks out for me. He examined their work. He was so impressed ,by them, that he will be scheduling MMR to do much needed work at his home.

I found Matt (the owner of MMR Electric) through Yelp and I'm so glad that I contacted him. He showed up in few hours on the same day to give an estimate and finished the job in 2 days! My project involved installing a backyard security light, 2 out door lights by the garage door, about 13 or 14 recessed lights, some track lights and 3 ceiling fans, 5 outlets in the garage and some dimmers for a fair price. Great attitude and very friendly. Not to mention he's extremely quick in returning text messages as well.

As far as the work quality goes, they (a crew of 3 people) did a great job and everything looks awesome. They're also good with cleaning and covering stuff while drilling, so there's not much of a cleaning that I have to do.

Totally recommended!

Great job been having problems with a outlet that kept jumping the circuit called and spoke with Matt said he will send 2 guys out next day at 7:30 am. Showed up a few min late but this is LA no problem found the problem changed the plug and circuit. All fixed. Highly recommend this company reasonable and efficient. Thank you. I will use them again and recommend them to my sister that's needs a whole house rewire

Wow! Talk about responsive and competent: These guys are really great! I called and spoke directly with Matt, who carved time out of his busy schedule to come look at my little lighting switch issue. He came and assessed the situation within less than 24 hours and fixed it right away! Plus, he left the work area more clean than it was before ;)

I will definitely be calling on Matt and his team at MMR for my electrical needs from now on!

Without hesitation I would recommend MMR- it's not often that you find honest, straightforward and highly proficient electricians. Definitely keep MMR Electric's number handy!
