If there was a ""0"" rating, I would give it! Worst company ever -- I was charged $600.75 to put a new cord on my range. Could have put that money toward a new appliance! If the tech asks if you want him to ""check"" your electric service box or fire alarms, say ""NO!"". They charge you to ""check"". Most companies give a free estimate. I am elderly and on a very limited income -- this overcharge set me back plenty. Never again! Cute jingle -- ""1-888-8-RIPOFF""

Had a bad lug in my meter. They charged $60 to come out for an appointment. Pretty soon instead of addressing the exterior problem the employee was inside my house telling me that if I touched the breakers to turn power off there was a good possibility I would get electrocuted. Then the gentleman proceeded to inform me that if I took a shower there was a great possibility I would get electrocuted. Then I was told that the situation was so dangerous that it needed to be handled immediately or the meter would explode through the wall or cause my house to burn. Then presented me with a full battery of quotes ranging from, "" best case scenario which was $6700 to $8600 pending of course on what they found in my attic"". Then he gave me his personal cellphone number. So I proceeded to touch the breaker and take a shower with no shock or electrocution to me. Luckily I didn't fall for this excessive charge they tried to dupe me into. Since I have an electrician friend with the same level of education as the snowballer who gave me the bunk quote I asked what this gentleman's worse case scenario quote would cost in supplies, $1000. Since he said that the work could be done by the end of the day and it was around 12:30 when he quoted me that would mean his labor cost would amount to $7600 for half a days work.

Would NEVER use your company again. The charge was outrageous for basically flipping a switch.....We moved into a new house and didn't realize there was a switch in another room for a set of ceiling fans were thought were broken. Then your tech took one of the fans off the ceiling because it wasn't flush and wouldn't put it back up when he said it wasn't up to 2017 codes......

Scam. They will not give you an estimate over the phone based on time and hourly rate so they come out and waste your time. Wanted $250 PER LIGHT for a 20 minute procedure that other electricians quote at $60 (bypassing the ballast on a flourescent light so it will run LED's). The tech told me they are told they are told to generate $250 per hour per estimate by the boss. Do not recommend. Call around, you can do better.

They are super friendly and prompt with appointments and they do show up...but they are three to four TIMES the price of a local electrician. They recommended that we do unnecessary things at an exorbitant price. We have a project house which admittedly needed a lot of work and a full panel replacement but the price they quoted us was equivalent to a nice used Mercedes while the local electrician was actually affordable.

Bottom line: don't be tempted when they say they can start work the same day, please, please shop around!

Well, they are on time, just like their ads. Their scheduler is courteous and professional and they are very responsive. However, they quoted four times the price for a service that two other providers offered to do just as professionally. They are ripoff artists. Plain and simple.

I don't even want to give them one star. I called Mr. Sparky because of a good rating in Hillsborough referral guidebook. They were prompt. The tech was okay until it came to the bill. The bill I received was high, but he kept adding things. Everything he did works, but I had a coupon waiving the service charge, which he said he would honor but i was still charged. I called back several times, finally someone named Dave called back and sent me an itemized bill, which except for the total was very different than the one I received. I sent him my copy so he could compare. He agreed to refund my service fee. That was the first week of April. I had spoken with the tech about some additional work, but told Dave I could not do business with a company that kept two sets of books. He hung up on me, and it is now July and I haven't received my refund. Also note that they installed 4 smoke detectors at a price of $159 each!! Two of them are only four feet apart in the master bedroom.
A lack of integrity from this company.

Company is a complete sham. Electrician came out to diagnose power out in a couple of rooms, charges me $186 for diagnostics and proceeds to look in my panel , see some soot and recommend ainreplace my panel for $4k. Another electrical company comes and actually does a very thorough job troubleshooting problems with 2 circuit breakers and an overhead light with a short and fixed everything for the same $186 Mr Sparky charged for essentially a BS non-diagnosis. Don't go near this company if you want to keep the shirt on your back.

I had just moved to venice area, and purchased a home. I had called local cable provider, to get cable ran into 4 other rooms, since the house was not equipped with them. The guy came out and said he could not do it to call an electrician, so I called Mister Sparky, the guy came out immediatley the same day, and quoted me $2,100 to run 4 cables down the walls,no electric even being hooked up, and also suggested we needed a whole new electric box quoted me over $6,000. I though that was crazy, so I called cable company back, and the next day the guy came and ran all cables for $60..... Also called a local electrician and it was a few breakers that needed replaced. Total cost of less than $500... I hope they are not getting all the elderly on these prices...
