I did not hire them after an estimate was started. I felt I was being given a lengthy explanation to a simple ""how much"" to replace something with a lot of ""variables"" and given a hefty fee to ""diagnose"" the issue. The salesman/electrician was polite and on time but I didn't have time for the pitch, which I suspect was more involved than it needed to be. If it wasn't, we'll, I guess I lose out on a ""thorough"" diagnosis.

We bought a house which had been vacant for some time after the owner died. There was no record of the electrical work done. The detached garage electric system didn't work at all. Two different companies tried to get the garage re-wired but couldn't figure it out. We had held off on Mr Sparkey because of the somewhat silly name. It turns out they were the most responsive and capable of the companies we used. My Sprarkey was able to re-wire our garage and get the lighting to work within a day. They were super responsive, professional, and competent. I will call them first for any other electrical issues I have.

Worst service I have ever encountered. Gerb came to our home to provide an estimate of the work that we wanted done. From the beginning he was very arrogant and did not care to listen as to what it was we wanted done. He kept shaking his head no. His estimate was $3000.00 for about 2 hours of work (wiring of fans, hanging a light). When we stated that his estimate seemed steep and that we were not done discussing all that we wanted to do, he got up and walked out. Never said good bye, thank you, have a nice day, or anything. Just got up and walked out. To add injury to insult, he did not even go out the front door, he walked thru our kitchen, thru our laundry room and out the garage. We followed him in total disbelief and said thank you for coming out, he did not even turn around or say anything. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Do not trust these people, they do not want your business!!!!

I have never felt so cheated in my life. I had a problem with one of the breaker boxes at my home and I called Mr. Sparky. They came out and give me a quote and what it boils down to is that I paid over $6500 for two breaker boxes with switches and less than eight hours of labor. I looked up the prices of the Cutler Hammer breaker boxes with switches and there's no way that they cost more than $800. Even if I give them a full eight hours of labor that means I paid over $700 an hour. It seems they have a history of taking advantage of the elderly. I am 70 years old and lived on a fixed income. The money they charge me represents a good portion of the funds that I need to live in the coming year. Do not use this electrician.

Just had a really great visit from Paul and Cody. Our AC stopped working and Paul was able to diagnose the root of the problem and had Cody sent out within the hour. Super friendly and even fixed our ceiling fan and smoke detectors. A+ for Mister Sparky and five star service from Paul and Cody. Thanks again!

I called the to fix a breaker and they said I had to move the panel. It's cost me $3300 plus Construction of $2000 also because it looks so bad is gonna hurt the value of my condo. When I spoke to the inspector I found out that the panel never had to be moved they could have found a panel the same size and replaced it where it was. I had asked them to call the inspector first and they wouldn't saying they knew what the I spector would say.
Well obviously they were wrong. They've cost me $5000 and ruined my condo. I will probably have to take them to court.

Mom and I love Mr Sparky they are very professional on time and won't try to push you to buy more then you need. We can't say enough about this company we both love them. They are on time we never had to wait for weeks. They made us feel like our business mattered to them and our time mattered to them.

Mister Scammy is more like it.
They charge you for emergency service when you first phone them up. They wont tell you when they can schedule you until you pay first.
The rep said ""I will contact dispatch and call your right back, it will be the next available truck"".
Hours go by, no phone call, when I call back, now that they already have my money the story has changed completely about when someone can be out. And it is, of course, non-refundable.
Its called bait-and-switch and is punishable by law.
If Mister Scammy gets your money, do the following;
* Call your credit card company and process a chargeback
* File a complaint with the state attorney general. Its fast and easy on-line and gets results.
Mister Scammy replies to all the reviews here and just denies. Don't fall for it. Its part of the the scam. There is a reason they have so many one-star reviews. 100% satisfaction guarantee my a**.
Mister Scammy, instead of managing yelp, just enact more ethical business practices. Or is that not as profitable?

We have have utilized the service of quite a few Fort Myers trades men for our properties and amazingly the Mr. Sparkey representative that made a service call to our home this past Friday appeared at the front door without a mask. I told the technician I would not allow him into our home unless he put on mask. He returned to his truck and a few minutes later he came back with a mask on but his nonchalant attitude concerned me. This made me question any measures he may take to protect himself for customers against the Corona Virus. Putting that grievous behavior aside I outlined the work we needed to have done and I was totally blown away by his pricing for the work we needed.
He quoted a ""sale price"" of $99 to convert 9 high hats to LED units; the cost for this repair $944. He then quoted $750 to take down and put up a new chandelier with parts we were supplying, in addition he attempted to sell us on a repair of breakers in our electric panel that he said ""had some serious issues."" At that point we told him we were not interested and thanked him for coming out. Point of fact, the high hats were replaced with color changing LED, built in night light and a 5 year warranty units ( the quoted high hats had a 3 year warranty) @ just under $19 per unit with install time 35 minutes. The chandelier hanging was quoted by another source $125.
I suggest anyone contemplating hiring Mister Sparky get additional quotes. From our perspective this technician from Fort Myers Mr. Sparky would have been a total ripoff and considering the hap hazard approach to protecting himself and his customers in today's pandemic environment I question how much attention to detail is he capable of to do the work in a proper workmanship manner.

Needed to install a junction box for a fan I bought locally. Was excited to get a next day appointment but was extremely disappointed when the tech told me it would cost $1000 for a $40 part! Really?
I called a local electrician and got it done for $300.
Don't let Mr. Sparky burn you! Shop around and don't be taken advantage of unless you have money to burn.
