I've always known that Mr. Sparky was overpriced, but I was okay with that if I thought I was getting superior reliability and service. Sadly that is no longer the case. Despite being a customer for years and spending thousands of dollars with the company, they decide to abruptly cancel my appointment exactly when the tech was supposed to arrive, after I've been waiting for over 2 weeks. When I ask about an alternative time to help accomodate their abrupt cancellation, I'm told I will have to pay $180 to try to help fix THEIR service failure, what a joke. Never again. I used to be a Mr. Sparky advocate, now I will be a detractor for life, there are better, more reliable, and certainly more fairly priced electricians all over, hire local.

I made an appointment a few days after Ian and got an appointment 2 weeks out. I got 3 separate confirmations for 10-18. I even had a call that they were on their way. Two times I told them I would be home and they never showed up. I had used them in the past but never again and would not suggest that you do. They can't be trusted to come when they say they will.

Hired to come out to hook up a line to a transformer & panel. Refused to do so. Was a step down to low voltage for a 12 V pool light.
Claimed the step down transformer could not be in my open lanai by the pool. I am pretty sure the Code is 8 feet away, I was 10 feet away.
Waste of time did the install myself.

I called to have a Ring Doorbell fixed and the service tech told me to get the part and he would fix it for $430. He could not tell me what I needed and he really had no idea how to fix it.

I called Mister Sparky because I was having problems with circuit breakers tripping on my knocking out my refrigerator, Wi-Fi and generator and since we don't live in Bonita Springs all the time, I needed it to be corrected so I wouldn't have to worry about it when we are not here. They sent out Nathan Awis and he was just fantastic. He spent about 2 1/2 hours here changing the breakers that were giving me problem and installing additional high quality surge protectors, on in the electrical box and one for my air conditioner. I am a little handy and I learned so much watching everything he was doing, which he didn't mind, and the knowledge I gained will be used on my electrical service at our other home. I am completely satisfied with the service I received from Mister Sparky.

Absolutely recommend. I called Mr. Sparky to install an outlet for a range as part of a kitchen renovation. The tech was prompt, friendly and a pro, and he accomplished that in short order but- and I must stress, this is an absolute fact- he had to point out a major flaw in my electrical wiring. This house was built in 1956 so it was a disappointment but not a surprise. I was offered options with no hard sell and the work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. Was the price a little higher? Maybe, but with any major job I want a brand name and a guarantee I can trust. Hopefully I won't need them for a good long while now, but I'm definitely keeping their number handy.

After 10+ years living in the Ft Myers/Estero area, we had occasion to use Mr. Sparky for the first time to resolve an electrical issue in our home. Shane was the technician who was sent to help us. He was extremely neat, personable and professional. He was very thorough in explaining what our problem was. We would definitely recommend Mr. Sparky and especially Shane to resolve electrical issues that you may experience.

When I first hired Mr. Sparky, I was new to Naples and found their work acceptable but expensive. I hired them a second time this year and their work was awful. I hired them to fix my doorbell and to fix roughly 10-15 lights in my newly acquired home. My bill exceeded $4,000. Expensive, like last time but this time it took the technician almost 4 months to complete the job. He was unresponsive to my requests and then ordered the wrong parts. To make a bad situation worse, on his last visit to my home, his shoes had some sort of black grease which soiled the area rug where he was working. I forwarded my $208 rug cleaning bill to the company and have a better chance of winning the lottery than getting reimbursed for the damage they caused. Hire them at your own risk.

My husband called and set up an appointment for a technician to come out and give us an estimate. The person on the phone told us that the would be by between 10am and 2pm. We were excited to have a simple ceiling fans put up with lighting. We waited . We were told that they would give us a call between 35 and 45 minutes before arrival. Well it was about 1:15pm. We called Mr. Sparky to check and see if our technician may be delayed for any reason. We hadn't received a call or text. The person looked and said, no nothing seems to be delaying him and that they checked...nope no calls or texts from the technician, They also reminded us that the tech will call between 30 and 45 minutes. We said ok. So we waited until 2:15pm. Still no show. We called Mr. Sparky again to see what was going on. We told them that we were still waiting and wanted to know if the technician was coming. The person at Mr. Sparky said that the tech called us at 10:00am and 10:05 am. What? We haven't moved all day and they said he called all of a sudden? Why didn't they tell us that before?? We had other appointments to be at. We told them to cancel the technician. This company is unbelievable, they're motto is Thank You for calling Mr. Sparky, how can we make you smile today?"" You can simply make people smile just by showing up!

Ruger was on time and very knowledgeable.he listened to my concerns about the ceiling height and the length of the chandelier. We discussed further light purchases for my home with regard to weight restrictions. I will use him in the future. Price was great also!
