I asked them to come out and look at a bathroom light which wasn't turning on and told them I think it was related to a gfi outlet that was blinking. The guy who came to estimate was nothing but a sales guy trying to add to a simple fix. He made it seem as if they had to try several things to trouble shoot it. His estimate was $900!! I laughed and knew it was sleazy!

I tried another guy who confirmed quickly it was the gfi I mentioned and fixed it for $60! Never trust these hourly or sales pitch electricians who try to rack up a high bill for a simple and cheap solution. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!

Be sure to get 3 bids. Mr. Sparky has a set price schedule that in my experience you will end up paying 2 to 3 times over what you would pay with a regular electrician. Let competition work for you as the customer.

We scheduled an appointment with Mr. Sparky three weeks in advanced. We explained to them that they would need scaffolding to replace a ceiling fixture.
They gave us a four hour window on the day of our appointment. We made changes in our schedule to be at home. They did not show for that appointment. Mister Sparky called us to rescheduled for a week later and this time they gave us an 10 hour window!. We agreed and again reminded them that we needed scaffolding or tall ladder because of the height of the ceiling. The telephone receptionist reassured us that that had noted that on their records. We stayed at our home and waited 9 hours for their technician but they called us one hour before the end of the window telling us that they couldn't make it to our appointment. They said that they would reschedule for the following day and gave us a four hour window. They showed up a half hour before the end of the schedule window, but told us that they could not do the work because our ceiling was too tall. They stated that they would need scaffolding. I called to complain and spoke to one their managers who was responsive and concerned. He stated that he would take off $ 150 what would be a $ 1,275 bill. If you do the math, that comes out to a little more than $8 for each hour that I waited. I am sure that they don't work at an $8 per hour rate. Their slogan about their reliability and promptness is a joke. I found it funny that while I was on hold to complain they played a jingle about their on time guarantee and money back promise. Before you hire this company asked them if they ever gave anyone a free service for being late or canceling. I asked and the answer was again quite funny.

I made an appoint over a month ago to have two ceiling fans installed. The appoint was for 11/30 between 8 and 12. I took the day off of work to accommodate the window. I received a confirmation text the day before and the morning of the appointment. At around 9:30 am today I get another text from ""Alissa"" staying they are cancelling the appointment and call to reschedule. I tried calling the number in the text and of course no answer. I finally was able to find a number where someone would answer. The lady was absolutely horrible! She basically said they had another ""emergency"" job to go to so they cancelled mine. I asked for a a manger and was told I'd get a call back within 24 hours, that's the policy. I reminded them of their policy of the service being free if they miss there appointment. She said I'd have to talk to the manager about that. I called back again and got a man who actually tried to get ahold of the manager, no luck of course. I asked him about their policy regarding the service being free if they miss it. He stated that since they texted and canceled they would not honor the policy even though there phone recording states if they miss for ANY REASON the service is free. Mr. Sparky used to be really good, I've used them numerous times. unfortunately now they are just like every other crappy service company in SWFL, poorly run and bad customer service.

Adam came out to our house in Lehigh to fix what I can only describe as a MESS left by not only the previous owners but another electrician. The man jumped right in and started fixing so much stuff safely and quickly. I recommend him 10/10. I was raised to have a great work ethic...he obviously was too. Thank you Adam for be so amazing.

I've always known that Mr. Sparky was overpriced, but I was okay with that if I thought I was getting superior reliability and service. Sadly that is no longer the case. Despite being a customer for years and spending thousands of dollars with the company, they decide to abruptly cancel my appointment exactly when the tech was supposed to arrive, after I've been waiting for over 2 weeks. When I ask about an alternative time to help accomodate their abrupt cancellation, I'm told I will have to pay $180 to try to help fix THEIR service failure, what a joke. Never again. I used to be a Mr. Sparky advocate, now I will be a detractor for life, there are better, more reliable, and certainly more fairly priced electricians all over, hire local.

I made an appointment a few days after Ian and got an appointment 2 weeks out. I got 3 separate confirmations for 10-18. I even had a call that they were on their way. Two times I told them I would be home and they never showed up. I had used them in the past but never again and would not suggest that you do. They can't be trusted to come when they say they will.

Hired to come out to hook up a line to a transformer & panel. Refused to do so. Was a step down to low voltage for a 12 V pool light.

Claimed the step down transformer could not be in my open lanai by the pool. I am pretty sure the Code is 8 feet away, I was 10 feet away.

Waste of time did the install myself.

I called Mister Sparky because I was having problems with circuit breakers tripping on my knocking out my refrigerator, Wi-Fi and generator and since we don't live in Bonita Springs all the time, I needed it to be corrected so I wouldn't have to worry about it when we are not here. They sent out Nathan Awis and he was just fantastic. He spent about 2 1/2 hours here changing the breakers that were giving me problem and installing additional high quality surge protectors, on in the electrical box and one for my air conditioner. I am a little handy and I learned so much watching everything he was doing, which he didn't mind, and the knowledge I gained will be used on my electrical service at our other home. I am completely satisfied with the service I received from Mister Sparky.
