Al D.Electrician they sent was a nice guy but he had no clue after 30 min how or what the problem was causing the lights not to work nor how to fix the problem .
He did though sit down and work up an incredibly large bill to do work that he wasn't sure would work in the end. I declined but asked why he couldn't be sure what the problem was with my lighting . He said he would need to do a diagnostic . So I asked why can't you do one now ? He said after almost an hour he could but that would cost $300. I said forget it! Unbelievable how these companies can take advantage of customers ! It's no wonder their reviews are mostly awful!
Gave me a quote for $11,000 and then told me that if i signed right then they would knock $500 off. Did not like the high pressure sales, so got a 2nd opinion. Found out that my sprinkler system worked, dock lights worked (told they would have to dig a trench to fix), patio lights worked and that they system was grounded which they told me it wasnt and could blow up every appliance in my house. When the 2nd estimate came in for $500 total i saved the $10,000 and now everything works and is fixed. This company works off of high pressure sales and is only out to rip you off!!! Be very cautious and get a 2nd opinion before signing with these scam artists!!!!
Andreas S.There is a reason for the bad reviews. Waited one and half week to get an electrician to visit my home. After the inspection the electrician said he will work on the quote from the car and send it to me in the afternoon. Now one week later I still haven't received any feedback. Contacts the company last week and they just said that the electrician didn't submitted the quote yet....
Ended up hiring another electrician for the job.
When we had the cold spell in February, both of our heaters (we have one upstairs and one downstairs) kept tripping the circuit. We called Mr. Sparky and the electrician who came tried to upsell us on an unnecessary replacement of the panel for $13K - $18K. We ended up just replacing a wire, which cost $1,500. We just had another electrician come to inspect our panel because we are installing a pool, and he said a panel replacement is not necessary (and this is with a pool heater and pump added to the panel) and if it was, it would only cost $4,000. Mr. Sparky does good work, but they are not trustworthy and overcharge.
Riki V.Definitely hire them if you want to experience someone to over complicate the job, that has to be done and offer you a few thousands dollars quote for 20 minutes work (it was a matter of connecting a light to a switch)
Keep in mind they quote customers based on their neighborhood RE prices, and how much they might be willing to pay, NOT the actual work cost.
The guy walked into the house as he owned it, performed things he wasn't asked to, made mess, and wasted a good hour of my time.
PS. This job was completed by another electrician in 15-20 min for $100
UPD: I see I wasn't the only person with exact same experience. They seem to target women on it. See below. I like how one of the customers called it a ""shit show"" it certainly felt so unprofessional , like you are a part of a street swindlers con act. It was strange to watch it happening in your own house.
Lynn L.Very happy with the service i received from Mr.Sparky electric. Chris was very professional and knowledgable in what he does.will definetly be using this company in the future and recommend there services to anyone who wants quality great service! Thanks again Mr.Sparky
Worst service ever! I paid 189$ for emergency service and the guy came in next day and told me ""hi, now you have to pay 480$ to run diagnostic. So basically for 200$ they just greeting you!
During these times service could ne much better and supportive!
Over priced, unskilled and rip off. Please save yourself the scam. A basic handyman is a better option.
Stay away!!! Stay away!!
Horrible service! Spent over 600.00 to fix a fan. Had to have a return because not correctly fixed. Was told woul be here between 2-6. No show... no call.. was told they would call from an 844 number. I have the text to prove it!
No show!!! No call! Horrible service and customer service!!! DO not waste your time. There are MANY other company's to choose from. Take your time... read reviews.. I am saving you from the agony!!!
I had them out this morning for a quote and there pricing is so out of line their license
Should be revoked. They quoted me $450 to install an outlet and coaxed cable connection and they were drawing power from an outlet below. I got a second quote from a licensed electrician and it was $150
. They also tried to tell me my house was not founded at all and it would.cost $941 to correct. The electrican who came in after them said the house was grounded and yes maybe not to today's regulations but still AdWords. They also wanted over 400
To install a whole house surge protector. There entire estimate was over $2300 for a job that was quoted by another licensed electrican for approximately $600. I guess if you have $1700 to throw out you would use there service.
I think the owners of this company should look to start pricing their work fairly and not look to rip off unknowing customers.
