Wanted to charge me $250.00 for a kitchen light switch, that I can go to any hardware store and buy for under $30.00. Had to refuse the service that is just too much to pay for a simple light switch. Can't imagine what they charge for other things, will not use ever.

I cannot believe how this company wanted to take advantage of us! I asked them to come out and quote me to replace the existing under cabinet lighting in our kitchen. The technician wanted to know where our circuit breakers were, and immediately started unscrewing the panels. When I asked him what he was doing, he started to try selling me piping and tubing in my perfectly good electrical system, nothing to do with what I needed.
The worst part was that he quoted me over $3000 for a basic job that already all the existing work done!
I had someone else do the same job for under $500. What a racket, buyers beware. Get a second quote!

Zero customer service, changed my appointment time and didn't give an option as to when I could reschedule. Obviously they are trying to gobble up as much business as possible, but without being able to deliver. Would not recommend.

Not sure why all the bad reviews because my experience with Sonson Bazin was professional and quality work. Texted 30mins in advice of showing up and showed up on time.

After asking 7 different electricians and companies to the house, only 3 provided quotes. The other 4 said it was too much work and they WALKED OUT!!! Yes! Just walked. I bought this house. Built in 1971 so it comes with ""old code"" and a lot of problems. Previous owners did some of their own work and overloaded the world's oldest panel after buying a tankless water heater. My house draws only 150Amps so isn't conducive to a tankless. Back to the quotes -

Mr Sparky wasn't the cheapest but they were close to the lowest quote but decided to go with them because Sonson listened and helped solve my problems. Check out my before after photos.

My old panel. Same age as the house. Many companies quoted that they'd have to go through the wall and just install a junction box here because of new codes. There is no room to install new box here due to required clearances in front and to the side of the unit. Mr Sparky - Sonson - brainstormed on alternatives with me with installation on reverse wall. No extraneous cost was added where other companies were overcharging.

I needed upping from 150 to 200
A new panel
Install 4 light fixtures in a bathroom remodel, little stuff like dimmer switches, GFCI etc
And my tankless water heater needing fixing that was a fail on my inspection report when I bought the home.

Also got surge protection on the panel.
Cost was $10-11k. Lowest was $10k even and highest was $22k!!!

Again I hired Sonson because of his responsiveness and personality. Very relaxed and confident. Absolutely hard working. Master electrician. He also agreed to come out and do the panel work and grounding on a Saturday because I was going to be without power all day and with working from home, I needed to work during the week. They didn't charge me extra for that so were extremely flexible in working to my needs.

Their rates are flat.
They have a list of prices for things so they pick from a list and that's how they come up with the quote. The other companies that provided the quotes did the same.

Have been so happy with their work, I recommended Sonson with Mr Sparky to my home owners association.

Otherwise Work still in progress

Permitting too for liability reasons. I live in an association - adjoining townhome.

This company is the biggest price gouging company I've ever met he will give you a quote to change out a interior panel for $11,000. Somebody should report this company to the Better Business Bureau he is the biggest scam artist ever I highly recommend people to read reviews because they are true I've talked to many people that have reached out to him and the prices that they give him a ridiculous to change out a panel for $11,000 is mine blowing I highly recommend do not contact this company for any electrical work do your research he will also scare you to make you feel like your house is going to catch on fire when it's just minor things I need to be fixed reach out to the mom and pop electrical companies they know bestNot somebody that has to promote commercials on the radio and TV to get business wow this guy is scary! What goes around comes around

Wow. 5 STARS!

Mr Sparky Of Pompano Beach serviced my elderly parents home today and I am impressed. My interactions with this company from the get-go were just terrific. They were polite, responsive and on the ball from the very first communication. We talked to them by email, text and phone seamlessly. Both yesterday and today i received reminders about the appointment and today I received a picture of the technician who we should expect to arrive several hour before they rang the doorbell- so we knew who to expect.

The issue was that there was no electricity in several outlets in the kitchen. There was a prior pest issue and the pest control company told us that the insects may have eaten through a wire. It turns out that it was just a tripped breaker. My elderly parents just didn't know how to check a breaker switch or were afraid to do it. Mr Sparky figured out the problem quickly- and fixed it. But the best part is that Mr Sparky did not charge my parents one dime. Not a service fee. Not a pandemic fee. No gas surcharge. NOTHING. The invoice said $0 due. When does that ever happen? Never. I am in the real estate business and I can tell you first hand that to find a company with a heart- that isn't a faceless, profit machine is next to impossible. No one seems to care very much about customer service anymore. This company obviously does.

I could tell from the start that this was a family owned business that still knows how to do the right thing. They were terrific with my parents- and I am in shock about the price. It is very rare to see a company do the right thing these days--- and this is a company that did it. It will pay dividends to them.

So they deserve a 5 STAR rating. And I am giving it to them. We will recommend them to our friends and family and we will call them every time we have an issue. We certainly don't expect this to happen again (a $0 invoice) but it harkens back to better days- when we were all neighbors and we all looked out for one another. GOOD JOB MR SPARKY! I am duly impressed!

Call this company if you want honest, old fashioned service- I know I will.

Electrician they sent was a nice guy but he had no clue after 30 min how or what the problem was causing the lights not to work nor how to fix the problem .
He did though sit down and work up an incredibly large bill to do work that he wasn't sure would work in the end. I declined but asked why he couldn't be sure what the problem was with my lighting . He said he would need to do a diagnostic . So I asked why can't you do one now ? He said after almost an hour he could but that would cost $300. I said forget it! Unbelievable how these companies can take advantage of customers ! It's no wonder their reviews are mostly awful!

Gave me a quote for $11,000 and then told me that if i signed right then they would knock $500 off. Did not like the high pressure sales, so got a 2nd opinion. Found out that my sprinkler system worked, dock lights worked (told they would have to dig a trench to fix), patio lights worked and that they system was grounded which they told me it wasnt and could blow up every appliance in my house. When the 2nd estimate came in for $500 total i saved the $10,000 and now everything works and is fixed. This company works off of high pressure sales and is only out to rip you off!!! Be very cautious and get a 2nd opinion before signing with these scam artists!!!!

There is a reason for the bad reviews. Waited one and half week to get an electrician to visit my home. After the inspection the electrician said he will work on the quote from the car and send it to me in the afternoon. Now one week later I still haven't received any feedback. Contacts the company last week and they just said that the electrician didn't submitted the quote yet....
Ended up hiring another electrician for the job.

When we had the cold spell in February, both of our heaters (we have one upstairs and one downstairs) kept tripping the circuit. We called Mr. Sparky and the electrician who came tried to upsell us on an unnecessary replacement of the panel for $13K - $18K. We ended up just replacing a wire, which cost $1,500. We just had another electrician come to inspect our panel because we are installing a pool, and he said a panel replacement is not necessary (and this is with a pool heater and pump added to the panel) and if it was, it would only cost $4,000. Mr. Sparky does good work, but they are not trustworthy and overcharge.
