I made an appointment to switch out a faulty outlet and check my kitchen outlets because they sometimes tripped. I wanted a quote to run a dedicated 20amp circuit for a new appliance.
The electrican showed up.. didn't even listen to my needs. Started quoted me ""big money"" to have a 400 amp service upgrade, and an new box. He said he needed to change a couple outlets in the kitchen and move the Tesla Charger down about 4 inches.
He gave us a funny $19,000+ quote, after making a slimy sales tactic call to his office in my kitchen in front of us to explain how bad it was. He gave the quote where EVERYTHING was overpriced to the point it was a joke.
On top of it.. he didn't take one minute to just check the outlet for why I called.
Yes, I do need to upgrade my box and system. No, I will not suggest anyone calling these guys, unless you have to get rid of some extra cash. He walked in ready to sell, and was already trying to sell me a water heater before he even opened my panel.
I have a high end Tesla Solar Panel System with 3 powerwalls in my house. He started to put down Tesla, who's is not comparable for quality on their work, the system is incredibly well done and beautiful.
When he handed me the comical quote, I told him I would need to get other quotes and he said.. Good luck.. there really isn't anyone else. He said they were hiring but no-one else could even pass a drug test?
Our technician didn't care. Gave a quote that was to Expensive and had a take it or leave it attitude.
Permits... They have completed the job at my home the inspection passed the first time. I once again must say how the entire crew is amazing. As mentioned you could not find a better team anywhere. They work together as a team all helping each other. From the top down...Brandon really works with you to get a job done with his crew... Then Jessica does great helping me understand the permits and keeping me updated on that.. The crew of electricians from Yasser, Zoltan, Reinaldo,Chris, Robert, and any one else I didn't name... All worked very hard. Had a wonderful attitude and work ethic. I am so happy, to have had all of them to help with my home when I need them.
I can't thank them enough for making all this easy. Plus going above and beyond every step of the way
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have 4 outlets to move (tvs & fireplace mounting so that cables do not show) & a pendant light to repair. I speak with a rep. on the phone requesting a quote & he tells me yes, we can provide one by scheduling an appointment and having a tech go out. I agree to the scheduled apt. between working hours, where my husband has to take time off of work to be home. Tech Jose Stempel arrives and looks at the requested job and my husband asks, ""So how much will this be approximately?"" Jose mentions he doesn't provide quotes - that pricing is subject to change based on findings. Well obviously, but what is the whole point of a quote then if you cannot approximate the cost of the service? If I go to a car dealership and need an oil change done the oil change has a cost of $60-$70. Now, if the service dept. finds additional issues they will advise me of it and its cost before performing the service. Common sense you would think, right? Well not with Mister Sparky. They want me to blindly accept service and then get billed who knows what later and it be too late to disagree or dispute the charge. No way I am dealing with this company for any of my current or future needs.

Just got a quote by email (haha). Guess this was a sale tactic to bully my husband into accepting the job with no #s so he can fake them later. Nice try. By the way - quote is ridiculously high and cute too. They want to charge a fee for a ladder - just to give you an idea, fee is the same cost of an actual ladder. No thank you.
Please don't waste your time with this irresponsible company.I make an appointment weeks in advance due the fact I live in the Caribbean and really need their service for my Miami home
After we receive a text confirming the appointment and make arrangements to fly based on the schedule set ( and paid for the visit ) one hour from the appointment we received a call canceling !
We call back to the office and their response was that to confirm that they won't be able to resolve the problem today
At first they seem great. They provide a fast quote and have someone on site immediately... my request includes a permit. The work is done and I have paid in full. The problem is getting the permit and setting the inspection. At first they make it sound easy.. I have called a few time and the answer is that someone will call me. I have been waiting 3 days for a call back. I called today and they said I might get a call today because it is after 5:30pm... so your research first and get the permit/inspection timeline in writing. I don't understand why I don't get a call from them. I should have know something was up when I got 3 quotes from this company.

Worst rip off ever! Charged us $271 to change a breaker. Yes ONE breaker. Two guys for the job. Never again. They don't even acknowledge our complaint to the company.
Do not call Mr. Sparky. I called them because they were supposed to be one of several quotes. Robert was the second electrician to come out to see my electrical panel. He was the third person in two days- one was the insurance inspector that told me what needed to be done- and the panel was old, but working.
After using the same scare tactics that I have seen customers leave on BBB and Yelp, I had no alternative than to use Mr. Sparky's services. They said the same thing that it was a burnt panel and it was so bad that it had to be changed immediately. I saw that panel come down. It was not as bad as they said it was. They sent me a photo of what could have been ANYONE's circuit breaker, and given their tactics I wouldn't put it past them.
Robert left that panel sparking. He stuck a screwdriver into the electrical panel and went up and down each of the breakers popping them off and on until it finally sparked. (I spoke the manager and he stands by the practice of using a screwdriver to pop them on and off repeatedly.) He did this after I told him I had one electrician come the day before and was waiting on their quote, and had another one scheduled for the next day. Robert then turned around and said that it was so bad that he suggested forgoing the time it took to get a permit. I explained that so far everyone had said there were minor issues that could be fixed now, but eventually it would need to get changed. He told me they don't know what they're talking about, that it was completely burnt- completely. It was not and had not been an issue up until Mr. Sparky touched the panel. In the condition that they left it, I was not able to get additional quotes or wait on the one from the previous day. They make you sign off on it's not their problem if they did something that puts you in danger.
They explain everything off of an iPad and you have to take their word on what you're being told. I only received a copy of the final invoice and that's because I asked for it. They did a hard check on my credit because the ""financing"" that they offer is through a third party, which was never explained. They also explained it was 0% interest for 12 months, and that I could pay around $80/month to pay it off. It is deferred interest for 12 months, and that math doesn't make any sense when they are charging $3,000 for a new electrical panel. They obfuscate the truth.
I paid DOUBLE of what was necessary. They use fear, scare tactics, and poor communication to lure you into their services.
Very poor experience with Mister Sparky electric
The tech arrived on time All we needed is to add an outlet in our bathroom below the existing outlet.
The quote for that was estimated at $398.75
Or $774.75 for an outlet below the counter
He then asked to see the electric panel in our apt
And strongly suggested to add a surge protector.
With a total price of $1435
