TERRIBLE customer service! Do yourself a favor and find another electrician. The website says same day service, they lie. Appointments are at least a week out. They gave me an appointment window and sent an email and voice mail to confirm I was home. I responded to BOTH. But they felt I took too long to respond so they cancelled my appointment but no one bothered to tell me they had cancelled it. I spoke to someone on the phone to say I was home and that person didn't tell me they cancelled the appointment. I sent a text which no one responded to. After waiting for FOUR hours for their technician I call back and that's when I'm told they cancelled my appointment because I took too long to respond to their message (30 min btw. I was talking to someone at the time). They don't even have the courtesy to tell me all this on the phone. While I am on hold with their operator who is looking into the issue someone sends me a text to tell me they cancelled the appointment and they can reschedule for a week late.

Did not get the work done by them. I am a contractor and did not feel like doing the job. I called them to replace 2 electrical outlets, one was outside, the other one was inside. I had provided all the materials, as I was going to do it myself. When they quoted me 558.00, I could not stop laughing. If I charged those kinds of rated, I would be flying a private jet by now.

Mr. Sparky is actually Mr. Let's Ripoff Seniors. I am seriously reporting these people to the Better Business Bureau! They are horrible! Today the Mr. Sparky tech tried to ripoff my 85 yr old mom by telling her that she needed to change her electrical panel or her house might catch fire because it was so outdated. Her house isn't even that old. They wanted to charge her $11,000!! And they assured her she must do it right away or risk a short circuit and fire! They told her she could finance it for 8 yrs! Mind you, they were only called for a tripped breaker and maybe an outlet replacement. 11K...Are they crazy? The technician had already convinced my mom when I saw a review here on yelp about someone's 88 year old parents getting scammed with the exact same story this guy was telling my mom. My mom was hysterical and so worried her house would burn down if she didn't agree to this ridiculous repair that she actually didn't even need. I called her right away and stopped the whole transaction from going through. We told the tech that this was a lot of money for a retired senior and we would need to investigate the situation more. Then the guy charged my poor mom $139 for simply flipping the main breaker outside her home. He did nothing else. He also forced my mom to give her info to see if she qualified for the 11k credit for the electric panel repair even though she had already told him she wanted to wait a few days to decide.
When I called the company to see what the tech made her sign...they said the tech charged her for changing an outlet (which he never did) and for repairing wires (which he also never did). But that they didn't know if she had signed any agreement to have the expensive repair. No receipt was even given to her or emailed either. They are scammers and have no ethics. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of vulnerable elderly people. I see the manager's response to all the other bad reviews here, pretty much says it all about this terrible dishonest company. They don't care, because they are probably the ones instructing their techs to do what they are doing which is unnecessary repairs and upcharges. Don't trust them & Stay away.

My wife and I needed some outlets checked out and some new fixtures installed -- the previous owners of our house had done some DIY work on the wiring and done a mediocre job. Mister Sparky was fantastic! Guillermo and Angelo showed up VERY promptly for the estimate and gave us a fair price for their work. On the day of the project, they showed up on time along with Jose, Dylan and Will, and got right to work. They were polite, efficient, and professional, and now our house is brightly lit and with no risk of electrical fire. Just in time for Christmas!! Thank you Mr. Sparky!!

Don't use this company. Called to install two light switches. Didn't even bother to give me an estimate. Got one done and the other doesn't work. Charged me $276 for the job. When the electrician came, the first thing he said was: oh I've never installed one of these switches. It's a Leviton witch for God's sake. Been waiting to speak to a manager and will now have to take even more time from my life to do this. Absurd!!! Be aware and don't make the same mistake I made. Don't use them.

$188.00 to tell me I had a bad dimmer and another $100.00 to install a new one which I declined. I bought and installed a new dimmer for $25.00 and still have the same issue. Wrong diagnosis. Wrong company to hire! Garbage.

Don't even bother to call this company. I called them for an estimate an outdoor ceiling fan and they cancelled me TWICE. The last time without notice, I had to call them to find out what happened with the technician after waiting for 1 hour, and after the technician himself called me to let me know ""I'm on my way, in 20 min I'll be there"". Called the office and the explanation was ""oh, he had an emergency"". So why don't you call me to let me know?? So no 'spark' for Mr. Sparky.

We were replacing our central air conditioning system in Coral Gables and needed to upgrade our circuit boards to accommodate the new air conditioning units. Robert from Mr. Sparky arrived right on time and I immediately felt like this was the company to do the job. He explained in detail all the work that was needed and answered all of my questions in a way that was both respectful and easy to understand. While doing this he even fixed my garage door opener which had not worked in months. I didn't even ask, he saw me struggling with it and just pitched in and 5 minutes later the door was opening and closing perfectly! Now that's how you earn someone's business!

Zak and Oscar were our primary electricians on the job. Both of them were personable, knowledgeable and professional. They did thorough work and when they were finished I was certain that we had a top of the line electrical system. This was confirmed for me when the air conditioner installer commented on the quality of both their workmanship and materials. The air conditioning replacement on this old house is very complicated so it was such a relief that the electrical part of the project was handled by such a group of pros without a single problem. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs electrical work, they really know what they are doing and they are very pleasant to deal with as well. I was treated with respect and courtesy from the first phone call right through the completion of the project. Mr. Sparky is my go to electrical company from now on...
