Their representative ,Nicholas, was nice and clean cut looking. You just wanted to trust him. That no doubt that was their plan. The rep and the manager tried to double team me to sell me a new fuse box for $3800 in my condo. My impression is he saw a woman alone and decided on a hard sell. He had no idea that I have people to advise me.
The rep told me my fuse box was in bad shape as if it has to be done immediately. It was not shutting breaker or sparking etc. The more we're no perceivable issues to anyone else. The rep left within minutes when I told him I was not ready to sign. I found out after he left that he did not turn on multiple breakers in both bathrooms, the hallway, the stove, and the two closets in the bedroom. They were all on before he arrived.
I called and the man on the phone asked me to hold on while he called the rep. I was told me the rep would call me shortly to return.
No phone call 45 minutes. It was after 5pm so I called back. A girl answered and she said the reason the rep probably left it off was because I have multiple fuse boxes with multiple issues. I have 1 fuse box in a condo. I was told by the supervisor, Jay, that the girl should not have discussed something she that she was not knowledgeable about. He told me that if they have their rep come out and it was not anything that their rep did this afternoon, they would charge me $190 to come out. How ridiculous!!!! He kept saying he was not here to determine what was said.
Really? Basically he wanted to charge me for their rep's mistake and it felt like he thought I could be lying. I guess a lot of people lie in Florida. I don't.
The rep left several breakers in the off position. I am sorry, but I don't want to be the one that turns the breakers o at we this. Maybe it s that I'm from New York, orinially but I don't trust anybody. I want their representative to do it.
Chris did redeem Mr Sparky. I wish he had been the rep who came out initially. Things would no doubt have gone very differently.
Thank you Chris

Most overpriced electrical company in Florida.
I got an estimate for a double tapped breaker, and was told that to fix it, I would need a whole new panel.
I called someone else, and got a estimate that was half the price.
THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND UPSALE YOU!

UPDATE: I am updating our previous review. Mister Sparky did reach out to us and worked with us to resolve our issue to our satisfaction to make things right. Thank you, Mister Sparky. So, I am changing our 1 star to 4 for working with us.

Today (08/30/23) Jose Stempel, a certified master electrician came to my home to see if his staff of electricians might be able to help me with a problem called a P.O.E. (Power Over Ethernet) problem. My Internet service provider had no clue as to how to get my Smart TVs to reconnect to the Internet after they called themselves improving my service by a new ""digital fiber"" connection. After signing a contract for nearly $7000 with Mister Sparky, Mr. Stempel assigned a workload for making major improvements to all the electrical systems in my home. It was clearly explained to me that I did NOT have to have all the recommended work performed, but that I could be as selective as I pleased to reduce the cost. I decided to trust Jose's judgment, and have all the work done because my home is 27 years old. Well, I am very pleased to report that not only did their work solve my Power-Over-Ethernet wiring problem, but their excellent work immediately caused one of the security cameras on my home to start working. The same camera had never been working before. I wanted to shout from my rooftop to all who can hear me, ""Mister Sparky does excellent electrical work!!!""

The dispatch lady answered immediately & she seemed professional. Appointment was for the following day, great!
But, the technician was given an incorrect address & incorrect email. So, when technician realized he was at wrong building; he did contact me. Phone call alerts as spam, since out of state. Texting would be way better. Thank goodness 2 people working because at first they could not find parking. If he was alone, he said would have had to rescheduled. Once he was in the condo, the first estimate was about $80 higher then the second estimate, maybe the third would have been better?
So, once the technician started the work, he was qualified & very professional. So, I would recommend Damian highly!
Damian also corrected the address & email- nice.

Mr. Sparky Electrical company are the best! They are professionals knowledgeable and considerate of their clients' needs. I recommend them highly. I had an electrical outage, and they came to my rescue immediately. The electrician (Samuel) restored it so fast. Thanks!!!

If I hadn't constantly stayed on top of the management, this job would never be done. This job was started two months ago. Still not finished.
Today, the tech showed up without the breaker he needed to tie into the city electric (exterior cut-off). After sending his helper back to the shop to get the breaker, come to find out they DON'T HAVE ANY. None. Instead of checking with a local supplier, or even another local electrical contractor, to see if they could buy one, they rescheduled (after working a few hours) and now we have to take yet another day off to meet with the City electrician. I could be getting old and grouchy, but for $12,500 (doubled with interest) I should be able to expect a little bit more than THIS level of incompetence. Trust me folks...Steer clear of Mister Sparky. NEVER AGAIN!

Called then to hang a chandelier. Guy came out late. They first quoted me $1900 for some unrelated work to my fuse box not sure why. Worked down to $1200 then final quote to just do the chandelier was $647
That's more than double of what I paid for the light.

CONSUMERS BEWARE!!! DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES
Just shy of 2 months ago, a family member who owns a set of apartment buildings in Miami Beach reached out to this company in order to inspect and potentially service the building's smoke detectors.
The technician ended up arriving an hour late. Prior to doing anything in the building, he convinced my elderly aunt (the owner of the building) to sign a contract committed her to a charge of $600, for which she never received a receipt; until we called and demanded one.
As per the property manager, my aunt and all of the tenants present during the inspection, the technician was at the property for no more than 40 mins - 1 hr. Immediately thereafter, the technician proceeded to charge for the inspection. My aunt along with the property manager were in shock because all prior initial inspections from other vendors were completely FREE; Especially given that no work was done. In the end the technician pressured her into paying the $600. She explained that he was very assertive and made her really nervous so she ended up giving him the money.
I came into town the following week and ended up contracting another vendor to do the job. During dinner later that night, my aunt mentioned what had happened with Mr. Sparky and how the technician pressured her into signing a contract and paying the $600. Immediately, I advised her to reach out to the management and explain what happened. I told her that it was only fair that she should get a full or partial refund as no work was done other than the inspection.
She reaches out and gets a hold of manager Robert who promised to look into the situation. He continues to avoid her for over 2 weeks. At which point, I reached out and spoke to him heard. Robert got very defensive and explained that it was common practice for all businesses to charge for inspections. I made him aware that I have been in the real estate business for over 20 years and assured him that that was definitely not the case.
Since he proceeded to become very heated in conversation, I told Robert that I would add my aunt to the call. Once she was on, she reiterated exactly what happened. He then started to defend his tech by saying that he had a tracker and he could prove that he was there for over 3 hours performing the ""evaluation and troubleshooting"". We immediately asked for proof which of court he failed to provide. In addition, we made it very clear that we had plenty of witnesses to the contrary. In addition, we made it clear that all of the work that the tech claimed to had done had been performed by another company and that we could provide notarized proof, he immediately changed his tone.
By this time, it was obvious to all parties that Mr. Sparky had been deceptive albeit scammy in their business practices but failed to admit it. Instead, he immediately presented my aunt with an offer to refund a partial amount totaling $400. My aunt then agreed to the amount and asked when she should expect the money. Manager Robert explained that he would touch base with his accounting department and that he would have them issue a check within a few days. Well, few days has now turned into a few weeks. And everytime my aunt calls to speak with Robert or manager Jay Roob, they are quick to dismiss her and tell her to call back next week.
In closing, if you are in search for a company that is DECEPTIVE in their business practices, CONFRONTS YOU WHEN YOU CALL THEN OUT ON IT, AVOIDS YOU LIKE THE PLAGUE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE and TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY, then look no further than Mr. Sparky!
