I used Mr. Sparky to install 3 new vanity lights in the master bathroom. I called several other local BBB member electricians. One came out, looked at the job, said they would email me a quote and then never got back to me. The other two gave me quotes, but were booked for a week. Another one never even returned my call. We are getting ready to start a bathroom floor/shower remodel and I wanted the lights done! I called Mr. Sparky at noon, Bill was at my door at 5:00 p.m., and my 3 vanity lights were installed by 6:00 p.m. Now that is service! The price was competitive with the other quotes I had from BBB members. Bill did a fabulous job, cleaned up everything, and hauled off the old, ugly builder grade fixtures. I will definitely call Mr. Sparky first the next time I need anything electrical repaired or replaced.

I used Mr Sparky, for a electrical problem, other then the price, it was great! also I think you should honor rented homes, the tech said they should have asked me over the phone because they don't service rented homes. I told him i was paying them upfront anyway, and ort landlord was in the loop with everything. Glad he stayed and finished the service.Very reliable service

Very easy to deal with electrician service. They were easy to get ahold of and responsive. additionally tony the electrician they sent was very knowledgeable and professional.

I been using Mr Sparky for my electical needs for several years. I had some under cabinet lighting replaced. I was not completely satisfied at the end of the project. I contacted Mr Sparky and they scheduled Tony to come resolve my issues. Tony did an outstanding job with the modifications. He communicates his plans with you and easy to understand. The finished project is fantastic!! Thanks Tony and Mr Sparky.

The assignment phone was answered promptly and the electrician arrived on time and did a good job. He replaced two ballasts in a florescent fixture and did a safety inspection. The ballasts were 239 each plus the labor for a total of $527. This seems high for time spent. I will probably check out other electrical services at least once in the future to see if a more reasonable charge will apply. However, other than the price, this company was timely, professional, and excellent.

The electrician was courteous and on time. What I have issue with is the cost. A $12.00 breaker ended up costing me $300.00. The costs were associated with the service charge of $60.00, as well as the labor. They're a bonded and insured company which is the line they give you as well as telling you, ""electricity isn't something you should mess with"". I understand both of those points, which is why I called them in the first place.

My problem was fixed so I'm happy, but it seems excessive to charge $60.00 to drive to my house when I decide to have the work done anyway. Perhaps this is the standard though it seems excessive.

The way it breaks down according to the price I found for a breaker ($12.00 part) + $60.00 service charge and $228.00 in labor or split the difference in the costs of the breaker. Once again, perhaps this is the standard and since I'm not in the business I don't know the going rates.

I felt like this could've been one of those Dateline or Today show lockouts where you get taken advantage of for a minor repair.

Next time, I won't be spending $300.00 to fix one breaker reset switch.

I contacted Mister Sparky since I had used them before. I contacted them about rewiring of a conference room table, and let them know that I'd like Clint, our regular contact, to come and give us a quote. Clint came out and gave us a quote to do the job. They were supposed to come out one day, and blew me off, the office not calling me until after the fact. I then asked that they come first thing the following day. They confirmed and never showed up. Not even a call. I called the office and cancelled the appointment, and hired another company.

Edited - Mr. Sparky's comments about this posting are completely false. They claim that they replaced a defective ground fault circuit interrupter and ground rod. That is very funny since there was no gfci present. I had to call them because I had a new television and there was no socket to plug it in. If there was no socket, how could they replace a GFCI??? What a company!!! I will stay FAR AWAY from them. For those of you who had good experiences, be very thankful! You obviously had another electrician to your house.


I am shocked that Mr. Sparky has good reviews. I wish I could say that we had the same experience, but we did not. I agree with Ed S.'s review in which he wrote, ""RUN from this company. Do not let them in your home!!!!!!"" Our experience was exactly how he described theirs. They tried to sell my elderly mother thousands of dollars of electrical work that she did not ask about. She asked them to come to the home to install a socket in a wall that already had one. At first they gave her estimates of $6,000 and up for work that was not requested nor needed. When they told her it would be $661 to install a socket, she thought it was a good deal compared to the other prices they had given her.

Even the work that they completed at such an exorbitant price was worthless. They installed a ground fault circuit interrupter for a television in the family room. Every time we watched television, the circuit went off and the television turned off. I had to call someone else in to remove the socket they installed.

Mr. Sparky says they guarantee that if you are not completely satisfied with their job, the work, the repair is completely free. Then why does Mr. Sparky insist on charging us $661.00 for work that was not even helpful?

The electrician that came to our house was very courteous and on time. Went out of his way to explain how everything works. Fixed the problem promptly and was very knowledgeable. Would definitely use them again.

I would highly recommend Mister Sparky, especially if all of their electricians are as good as Dennis, the guy we got. He called ahead before his arrival, as promised, was well-groomed and dressed in a clean uniform, protected our floors with shoe covers, was exceptionally courteous, professional, and patient. He fixed our grounding problem, set up surge protection for the whole home, fixed a light switch, and replaced all of our smoke detectors in about an hour. The work was done well, and everything looked clean and immaculate.
