Baron was exceptional. Very professional and knowledgeable. Explained everything he was doing and what he saw. Cleaned the work area and was respectful of his surroundings. I highly recommend Mister Sparky. I will definitely use them in the future.

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY**
Please see the attached invoice and cost comparison. Mister Sparky has refused to resolve this in any way and has acknowledged that they should have informed the technician that if a customer has their own material, and it is up to code, they can use the customer's material in lieu of the businesses. I have never had a company so effortlessly and egregiously screw somebody over. I had the displeasure of having service done by Mister Sparky in Houston. I received some quotes while I was in a work meeting and understood the pricing was around $1800 for the work to be performed, but upon receipt of my invoice that amount was $5365.20. I was immediately appalled, because I only had one outlet run to my garage and a GFCI circuit breaker installed. I thought there had to be a mistake. And there was! I had material provided that was not used and I was charged an ABSURD amount for the use of their own material. In addition, I was double charged for two outlets when I only had one installed. I was charged $594 x2 FOR ADDING AN OUTLET COVER. $1999 for Cable that I HAD AVAILABLE. After speaking with one of the managers, I was told I could receive a refund of $365 to cover the parts I already purchased. But, in doing so, I would have to be fine with paying over $4500 in parts they provided + labor. Absolutely not acceptable under any circumstances. To add insult to injury, the installation was not even done how I wanted. I did not want conduit to be run at all, I wanted it to be installed in the box into the house and not be an eye sore. I would never recommend this company to friends or family, but I would recommend them to someone I disliked, so they could get screwed over, too.

Jeremy T. installed a led strip of lighting that sticks inside the cabinet and just makes everything glow. The other option was to drill a spotlight into the cabinetry, but chose the gorgeous glow option and I LOVE IT!!!!!

Although the electrician did his job, he told me that a whole home surge protector was required per building code. Though I found on another electrical companies website that there is no such code. So I would have to say this company is lying to get you to buy a $470 upgrade you are not required to have. That's very sad that they have to be dishonest.

Like the other one star reviews what they do is an absolute and complete Scam. They showed up promptly (next day and called in advance, that is where the good ended). First you are stuck with a Service Call for them coming out that was $59.00 (not an issue with that). Tech arrived and removed a couple plug covers and check the main breaker panel. He then produces a contract for you to sign that he will do an entire house electrical review. Let me cut to the chase if you don't sign it you pay the service call, if you do sign it you are stuck paying for something you probably don't want or need. So the invoice reads (L2) Single Circuit Test and Minor Repair (I am assuming Mr. Sparky, Mr. Fix it or whatever name they are going by One thing said Mr. Fix it the other Mr. Sparky? I am assuming they consider resetting a breaker as a ""Minor Repair"". In a nut shell they gouged me for $464.00 to reset a tripped breaker! Sorry but there is no other words to use but a Scam and a Rip OFF! Do not use them you have been warned!

They just came out to replace a circuit breaker for me and did a great job. The technician was prompt, friendly, courteous and professional. I've used them in the past and will continue to use them.

Quick response and know what they are doing. However pricing can be a bit expensive. Scheduling was easy and their timing was spot on.

I will only give them 2 stars solely because they showed up quickly. My electric went out in half of our house. I called Mr Sparky based on Google reviews. Before his arrival, I did some tests to narrow down the problem to be sure What I was told was truthful. I found that 240 volts were going into the main breaker but only 120 was coming out. One of the two legs coming off of that main breaker didn't have any power at all. Sure enough, Mr Sparky found the issues quickly once they arrived. I give them credit for coming out within 3 hours of first calling.

This is where the issue arose. He said it would be $958 to change the breaker. $1200 something, to change the breaker and seal the panel box better. $4052 to change the entire panel. That seemed insane to me. The first company I called after that, said they could change the breaker for $350. The other company came out later that afternoon and did the job in 20 minutes for $350 total. I will be using them for absolutely everything electrical in the future.

Similar experience to other one star reviewers - it appears their bread and butter is diagnostic testing that ensures they are paid up front regardless of what's actually wrong and the work it will require. They pressure you to agree to a price of $400+ for a simple diagnostic hook-up with a tracer (in my case he called it a circuit test), followed by a price that ""starts at $699"" to fix the problem. Within seconds of announcing this, you're holding a signature pad in to authorize the signing over of your electrical soul. I refused as I had already determined it was isolated to a single wall in the house not getting power and that this was incredibly shady business practice...then called another certified electrician out and within a few minutes discovered it was a simple loose wire in a switch on the wall I noted.

On the Mr Sparky website it said they were currently waiving the $59 trip charge during Covid-19, but I paid that fee anyhow. Anyhow, would not recommend to anyone...find another electrician that's not a glorified salesman peddling hundreds of dollars of diagnostic tests.

My original appointment with Mister Sparky was from 3-6 pm on May 5th; at the very beginning of the appointment window, I was contacted via text message advising me that an emergency had cropped up, and that my technician would be unable to make the appointment. They proposed the next day for the same time slot, which I accepted (it's quarantine, I truly have nowhere to go!). I really appreciated that they contacted me at 3:01 pm to reschedule--I would have been irritated if I was waiting around for hours and then they rescheduled. So, props to Mister Sparky for timely and considerate planning.

On the new appointment day, today, I received a text less than 1.5 hours into my window, advising me that my technician was en route, and gave me his name, employee photo, short personal bio, and a URL to track his location live (which was AWESOME!!! Allowed me to reshuffle some conference calls to make sure I was free when he was close). I received a a call/voicemail advising me the technician's ETA, and a follow up second text reconfirming what was conveyed in the voicemail. It was definitely a human-written text, not an auto-text. Very nice touch.

My technician, Rob, was very, very knowledgeable, and communicated clearly throughout his inspection of my light fixtures. He explained what he suspected, what he was checking, what the causes were that he identified, viable solutions, the costs associated, and his recommendations. He also explained what other potential issues could present themselves, based on how the one light was installed.

During his visit, he asked about any other electrical issues he could help with while he was there (above and beyond the call of duty!). I took him up on his offer and he checked out two of my faulty under cabinet lights for me, and gave me a quote on those in addition to the work he'd already completed.

He was able to complete his work without shutting off the breaker, which would have also shut off the power to my home office and internet router... so that was great, I was able to get some work emails taken care of as he labored.

Rob used shoe covers, eye PPE, and other ""social distancing"" countermeasures. He was very considerate of my neighbors' needs when he parked the Mister Sparky van, and re-parked in my driveway at my request after I realized the garbage trucks hadn't come for my street yet.

This is the second time in 6 years that I've needed an electrician, and both times I've used Mister Sparky. I have no plans to call any other electrician for any future electrical needs.

Edit: When I booked my appointment, the lady I spoke with (Michelle, I believe) very, very clearly communicated the $59 flat trip fee. She also explained the expected price structure of the solutions that would have been available to me after the technician diagnosed my problem. Rob did precisely what Michelle explained. He showed me all of the cost components of the solutions available to me, including the cost of parts/supplies, and labor. He did all of this on the Mister Sparky iPad, and it was plain as day what I was selecting, what I was paying, and what was included in the cost. He obtained my approval twice, before work and after, along with my signature on the iPad. He also took plenty of pictures before, during, and after the work, all of which were attached to my invoice. My invoice was emailed to my email address of record within 20 minutes of his departure. All said and done, the visit took maybe an hour and a half, tops. Oh, and he cleaned up the work area after he was done! (Some insulation from the ceiling fell down while he was working, but he still tidied up. I have no issue cleaning up after work is done on my house, its my home, after all... but he showed a lot of respect for my home by cleaning up himself.) I felt I needed to add this information after I read some of the one-star reviews that used words like ""scam"" or implied that deception or up-selling was experienced. I never felt deceived, I was never unclear on pricing, I had explanation all of the steps he would take prior to beginning work, and I didn't feel pressured to do work that was not needed/wanted.
