A breaker in our electric breaker box had been tripping out the past couple of weeks off and on several times a day. The service Tech Michael came out and knew basically the issue just by me telling him the situation. He was really knowledgeable and showed me what he was doing why he had to do it. He followed all current social distancing guidelines when at our house.

Thanks Michael! Thank you Mr. Sparky!

********SCAM BUSINESS PRACTICES *****

I called this company because they had good reviews on Google and thought that would be a reliable source. I was wrong; Mr. sparky uses deceptive practices to get more money from their clients.

I had a simple GFCI outlet not working in my garage. The technician came out and told me he needed to do an electrical diagnostic on my entire house for $389.00
I told the guy..it was one outlet and he insisted that he would require a check of the whole house.
I refused his service and was charged a call our fee of $59 for coming out to try to scam me.

I went to Home Depot and purchased a GFCI outlet for $23 and replaced it myself for $23. I now works without a problem.

I will never call this business again for anything and would not recommend these guys to anyone.

You have been warned!

I had an outlet in my bedroom that would stop working periodically. Mr Sparky sent their technician. He tried to sell me thousands of dollars of unneeded services. He showed me a picture of a rusted screw in the yard and claim the house needs new grounding (he thinks I'm too dumb to tell a rusted steel screw from copper wire that won't rust). Then he told me if one outlet doesn't work, we might as well replace all the outlets in the house for $11,000 since they might give out also. That's like saying if you have one cavity, you should pull all your teeth since they might get cavities also... I politely refused these added services, but gave in to their $550 charge to replace one wall outlet.

Fast forward a couple of months, and the one outlet they fixed wouldn't work again. Supposedly, their work comes with a warranty, so I asked that they look at the outlet again. The same technician came, again trying to sell me on thousands of dollars of unneeded items, and finally quoted me $550 to replace the outlet again, refusing to cover it under warranty. I refused this time. I shut off the fuse, opened the outlet, found one loose screw, tightened it and never had an issue since.

So if you want to be ripped off getting sloppy work and a warranty they won't honor, this is the company for you.

We had an issue with our fire alarms 3 1/2 years into our seven year warranty I called mr. Sparky and they sent a technician out and he was very courteous and very thorough. He did not have the required number of higher alarms so he came back the next morning and he was very professional, courteous, and did a great job.

The worst - I would give zero stars if I could! Chad McCain first said the transformer he told me to order, worked. Then when he came back with the LED lights, he said the transformer did *not* work. After much delay on his part (my having to call his office several times, his not answering texts, etc.), found out from a real electrician that the transformer he told me to get was 12V and the LEDs required 24V! :-( :-(

I called them out to get a quote on having a 50amp 220 circuit run for my new hot tub and an additional 110 circuit run to the same area of my patio. They gave a window of 2-5 and arrived around 4:30 the electrician was concerned that I acknowledge that he arrived ""on time"", which I obliged. He spent the next 30 minutes or so taking notes and measurements before he came back with an estimate of more than $3200. I have had this type of work done before, albeit a few years ago and a it was $700 for the hot tub run, so this did not seem reasonable to me including inflation.

I made it clear this was an issue and he offered to remove an expensive part and let me buy it myself to save about $600 off of his bid (but not sure how much the part would have cost me). I made it clear that this bid was not acceptable and I wanted to just pay the $49 trip charge and look for someone else. At this point the electrician showed me a price list that indicated that starting point for a hot tub was $1760 (this is basically the problem). I made it clear at the time that if I found another option substantially cheaper, I would be writing this review. The electrician decided not to charge me the trip charge and left.

A woman (did not get her name) called me later that night indicating she was the owner, to let me know that a 2nd, master electrician reviewed the quote and said it was quoted correctly. This just irritated me more as to me, this was just telling me that they want to take advantage of people with their pricing. I hung up on her.

In the end, the next electrician I spoke to told me he charges a flat fee of $499 for the first 20 feet of the run and an additional $8 per foot beyond the first 20. The approximate run was 60 linear feet. 40 X $8 = $320 + 499 = $819. This was specifically for the hot tub. I did not get a quote for the 110 circuit.

in the end, I had a 3rd electrician do the entire project for about $1300. Note how these 2 options were going to be pretty similar in price.

I am sure that Mister Sparky would have done good work based on other reviews, and the electrician was very nice and professional but none of this makes the work worth almost 2.5 times the price charged by another qualified electrician. The demeanor of the electrician plus his willingness to forgo the $49 trip charge (without me asking) is the reason I gave 2 stars instead of one.

It was a partial electricity outage at my condo, with no a/c and Trent came over and explained the whole (big story) situation that we were unfortunately in and let me just say Federal Pacific Electric and that should be enough for someone to google and find out how that company has defrauded so many people nationwide. Anyway, Trent was very helpful and efficient.
As recommended by Trent we brought the attention to our condo's HOA. With the info that Trent provided us, the HOA was quick on their feet to rectify the dire situation. My husband and I would definitely call them again if we encounter any more issues.

Called for service on a Sat 1/21/2017 and they did come very late in the evening the same day. My issue was a burning electric smell in my bedroom. Electrician checked the house and attic and couldn't find the source. I was willing to call it a night and pay the trip fee plus the hourly rate. He had been there 1 hour. While there - the tech informed me my smoke detectors were ""old"" and needed replacing. I stated I had ADT smoke alarms very recently installed and was not interested in replacing the original home ones. Tech continued to try and sell me on nearly $2,000 of work - none of which was related to my burning smell (which turned out to be an old dishwasher motor going bad). It's nearly midnight and this guy says he can't leave my house and stop the hourly charges until he can reach a supervisor to approve my declining of other services. I was ready to throw him out - 30 min later after I had to talk to a supervisor on his phone, he finally leaves. This company is a scam - avoid at all costs.
