Called for a simple AC unit tune up, hour later was told need a new furnace, AC unit and water heater. Stopped listening after the 6k price tag for the water heater. Hate to hear the price for the furnace and AC unit. Found out they are there to charge as much as possible. Huge mistake got a second option milestone was grossly over charging me. Beware.

I had a cracked heat exchanger (furnace). They assured me no warranty available (lie #1) and not possible to replace exchanger anyway (lie#2). Only solution is to replace the entire furnace for 8k. I got a second opinion from a company which was able to obtain warranty and replace just the exchanger for $800. Another time, Milestone insisted that my 9 years old AC system must be replaced due to its age...regardless of the fact it is actually working fine. Conclusion: STAY AWAY from Milestone .

We had a GFI outlet in our garage stop working. Thought the breaker flipped (it didn't), tried resetting the outlet, didn't work either, so I called Milestone... the fix it in a flash people... to have someone come to check it out. I called on a Sunday, I was told they had availability in all their time slots for Monday, I said I could leave work till 3 and the lady said she would but me in the 2-5 time slot and would put a note to try to wait till 4 or 5 to come if possible. I thanked her and was very appreciative of that. The next day I called my co-worker and told her the situation and that I needed to leave early.. to make sure I could arrive home when the electrician arrived. As I was leaving work (3:50 pm)I got a phone call from Milestone but couldn't answer but I called back immediately and the young lady said let me look up your service call.... Oh we were calling you to reschedule b/c we over booked and don't have anyone available for you today. I said not this week... okay let me talk to my supervisor, but me on hold and when she returned again said ya we have no one available (even though there was availability in all the time slots when called the day before) can I reschedule you for another day? I told her today was my only day available since I left my job early to meet the electrician today... (when I was told was available) I'll just cancel my appointment and I'll call someone else... okay if you ever need anything in the future be sure to call us... really, why so they can call me at the time of my appointment to tell me no one is available again????? Their logo is an absolute lie.... They'll fix it in a flash....who knows when they'll fix it since they call AT THE TIME SET FOR THE APPOINTMENT to reschedule your appointment... some customer service... waste of my time

Highway robbery for their service. Only needed one electrical outlet replaced and that was $320. Will not recommend this company to anyone! Highway robbery and shame on Milestone for overcharging on simple tasks. Companies like this remind me to give my business to local small businesses.

I received a cold call for a free HVAC cleaning. They were in my attic for 3 hours, and came down with $13000 in needed repairs. I got a second opinion and only needed one minor repair for $27.

I needed a kitchen faucet replaced, seemed like simple job to me and I thought it might cost 100 to 200 dollars, 300 tops. They had a technician in my neighborhood on another service call and he arrived in about 15 minutes. Punctual! He gave me an estimate of nearly 500.00 for a 20-30 minute job. As John McEnroe used to say ""You've got to kidding"". And i had already purchased a faucet I liked so that was just labor. They will never get my business!

The first guy they sent out used a plunger and backed up the toilet into the shower sink and the tub in the other bathroom. Then he told me he'd have to have them send someone else out the next day. I had explained the issue in great detail and they didn't send someone with the proper equipment. I was very upset. Today Juan Velazquez came out. He was kind and explained that he might not be able to clear the clog and he said he would provide me with pictures of the pipe in case there would be major repairs needed. But he also attempted to snake the pipe on the roof. He managed to clear the clog. He is without doubt someone I would call again if I have issues. He gets the 5 stars, but the dispatch folks wouldn't get any for sending the first guy.
Thanks Juan Velazquez, you are the best.

My upstairs AC would run nonstop just to stay at 72F. Milestone quoted me $45,480 to fix the ducts, apply a radiant barrier, add insulation. The outside unit was 14 years old, the inside attic units was 1.5 years old. I bought $12 HVAC tape on Amazon, within minutes it was was 68F upstairs and frigid downstairs. They told me because the ducts are not configured correctly for the attic furnace it would burn out in in 8 or 9 years. I said for that price, I'll just buy another one. Then of course I bought the tape because there were some sealant issues, problem solved and saved myself 45K. So all I lost was the $100 inspection fee, small potatoes.

I called Milestone today to ask what it would cost to replace a breaker. They transferred me to someone that reads a script to me. I told her good job reading it, it was immediately a turn-off! I asked her if she could give me an estimate. She said no. She said they need to come out to look at the breaker and to look will cost $99.00. I said It was a breaker just to change the size.
Again we have to come out and look and then we will tell you.
It's not like something that could be complicated or something else might be needed or we don't know what's wrong....it was just to put a different size breaker in...that's all. After reading the comments here I will never use Milestone again!
The last time they came out they sent out 2 guys who looked like teenagers and they couldn't figure out the wiring..I kept telling them to check out my light switch and they just ignored me..(I'm just a girl), they must have looked for the problem for 3 hours, I finally said I want someone that is much more experienced. They finally left and said they would send someone else.
The next day someone else came and I told him what I thought it might be and by golly, I was right.... wasted 2 days of my time!!
If they were free I would not ever call them again. They don't deserve even a 1 star review! ZERO

$500 to change one breaker? Yep!
We had a client that needed a circuit breaker switched out in the main panel. They had a 60 amp breaker and the new buyer asked for a 50 amp breaker per the inspection. This is an easy job. The normal cost is $100-$200 for this. Milestone came out, knew they had the seller over a barrel since it needed to be done before closing. They charged her $500 to switch out a breaker.
Today we called and asked how much this would cost. They could not give us a price. How crazy is this? They want to come out in person to take advantage of you.
When pressed as to why it cost so much, the tech mumbled something about they had a lot of advertisements to pay for.
We had them come to our home to put in a new GFCI outside and they charged us $600 for this simple job. No more. We are done.
We will be sure to let other Realtors know about our experiences. They will get no more referrals from us.
