McNamara Electric excels in premium electrical work, supporting Napa Valley for 1987. Our projects include renowned wineries such as Sutter Home, the Beringer estate, Charles Krug Winery, the Quintessa estate, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Trinchero Family Vineyards, among others. Bill McNamara, the owner delivers exceptional service and aims to finish every job effectively and in a safe manner. Finding a skilled electrician who values the task and the client is difficult. Bill does not cut corners in his projects.

We focus on luxury residential work as well as commercial electrical tasks. We handle all types of electrical jobs that demand prompt service and high standards.

Since 1976, Bill McNamara has been in the electrical contracting business. He began helping out in the family business in Atascadero, where his dad started a family-run electrical service. When he was 13, he wired his first residential project and shortly thereafter knew he wanted to start a business of his own. In 1986, and started his contracting career at a race track for seven years called Sears Point, now referred to as Infineon Raceway. As Napa Valley's wine scene flourished, McNamara Electric expanded. The demand for electrical contractors increased as wineries were constructed. For a decade and a half, Bill subcontracted a trusted electrical contractor when required. At present, he focuses on emergency calls and smaller tasks.

He now lives on a ranch in Angwin, California. He sponsors a regional Sprint car racer, Britton Bock. He takes his tasks—whether at work or during his free time—with dedication and gives it his all. He frequently offers creative solutions—whether it’s where to install a light fixture or which light bulbs to choose. People often respond with praise, exclaiming, “What a fantastic idea, Bill!”.
