McNamara Electric focuses on high-quality electrical services, serving the Napa Valley area for 1987. We have worked with renowned vineyards such as Sutter Home Winery, Beringer Vineyards, Charles Krug, Quintessa, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Trinchero Family Vineyards, and many others. Bill McNamara, the owner delivers superior customer service and works to complete every job effectively and in a safe manner. Locating a reliable electrician who takes pride in the job and the customer is not easy. Bill takes the thorough route in his craft.

We focus on high-end residential projects as well as industrial work. We take on all types of electrical jobs that require prompt service and top quality.

Since 1976, Bill McNamara has been a licensed electrical contractor. Bill's journey began working in the family business in Atascadero, where his father launched a local electrical company. When he was 13, he wired his first residential project and shortly thereafter resolved he wanted to start a business of his own. Bill moved to Napa Valley in 1986 and took on contracting work at a race track for a period of seven years called Sears Point, now referred to as Infineon Raceway. As the wine industry in Napa Valley expanded, McNamara Electric expanded. The demand for electrical contractors increased as new wineries emerged. For approximately 15 years, he worked with a well-respected electrical firm when required. Currently, Bill specializes in on-demand service and smaller tasks.

Bill makes his home on a property in Angwin, California. He sponsors a regional Sprint car racer, Britton Bock, a talented driver. Bill approaches everything he works on—whether at work or for fun—with commitment and puts his heart into it. He consistently has great ideas—whether it’s about where to install a light fixture or the type of light bulbs to use. Customers often react with praise, saying, “Wow, great idea, Bill!”.
