San Diegan's if you're looking for an electrician I'd like to recommend Aaron Massella! I still have remodeling to do in my house, but needed some lights changed out/new light work installations and some other minor electrical work (outlets/switches replaced) before I have my contractors back to remodel exterior of home and interior rooms.

Aaron worked very quickly, professionally and did cleanup as they worked. Work was completed on time and my tenant and I were both very happy with the quality of work!

I highly recommend Masella Electric. Aaron is skilled and a pleasure to work with. He keeps a positive attitude even when overcoming challenges on the job. He explains the various wiring options and gives you the opportunity to choose the best option for your needs. I plan to reach out to Aaron whenever I need an electrician.

We had quite a list of projects in our new home, Aaron was very attentive to our needs and made it easy to understand everything we would need to do to get the job done! From 5 ceiling fan installs, adding power to closets, reworking wiring through the floor and attic to moving power in the garage to accommodate a refrigerator. Aaron was kind, courteous and even let us break out the projects over a few weeks to spread the cost. I was very comfortable having Aaron in my home. Definitely recommend this hard working family man for any of your residential electrical or lighting needs! Thanks Aaron!

Aaron came to my home fixed by back porch light leading to my basement. I feel so much safer since. He also trouble shooted issues that I didn't even know I had with a few blown out light switches. He made it seamless, easy and really friendly. The price was awesome! Thank you so much Aaron. Definitely my new go-to electrician.

I have used Aaron a couple times in my home to handle everything from new wiring, new breakers, oven installation, and updating my breaker box.

His work has been efficient, smart, and reasonable. I have been able to count on him to get the job done correctly and fast.

Thanks for the help!

I highly recommend.

It was difficult to get a corrected estimate. On the plus side, they showed up when they said they would, and were competent, friendly, patient and polite (until after the job was over).

During the estimate phase, we had discussed the need to do some work in the crawl space under the house, and to thread additional wiring through existing conduit. However, they decided that they would not work under the house or thread through existing conduit, but instead run new conduit on the outside of the house. That side of the house already had conduit on it, so I let it go. On one new outlet, they went through the ceiling because they didn't want to go under the house, which resulted in an extra hole in the wall that we'll have to patch ourselves, but they were considerate enough to keep the hole a regular shape and make it no larger than necessary. They finished the work quickly. I made the mistake of paying them after the first day, without a final walkthrough. They were in such a hurry to leave the second day that they skipped changing an outlet from one circuit to another and skipped one in-use cover they were supposed to install. I haven't yet been able to verify their seals on the penetration points. They then billed me $100 for a 50/20 breaker that sells for $30 at Home Depot, after using 3 tandem breakers I supplied (as a contingency) without reducing the price (the entire job was significantly more than these amounts).

After the job, Aaron's tone changed. He was very contentious and demanded payment of the $100 in full immediately, without any negotiation over the omitted work or the parts I had supplied. Because my credit is valuable, I paid the amount, but I don't feel that I can call them again as neither of us are happy with the way the project ended.

Since the end of the project, the overloaded breaker has popped again while vacuuming, probably because of the outlet that wasn't switched.

As I was fixing the things they omitted today (12/27), I discovered that they put the 14AWG circuit on a 20A breaker, when it was supposed to be on 15A, and put the 12AWG circuit for the attic fan on a 15A breaker, when it was supposed to be 20A. Since this is an unsafe condition (14AWG can't handle 20A), and it's in the main panel, it looks like I'll have to hire another electrician to fix their work.

I recommend that if you use these guys, get everything specified in the most minute detail possible, in writing, with diagrams, make sure you're onsite for the entire project, and do a very careful walkthrough at the end - they are inexpensive, but there's a reason for that.

I needed to upgrade my solar system, and was running into nothing but excuses from several solar installers. Thankfully, I finally found Massella Electric during one of my on-line searches.

Aaron replied quickly, and positively, to my first inquiry. He came out a couple days later to inspect my system and discuss what I would like to have done. He and his associate were friendly and professional. They explained what would be needed in detail, and I could tell that they were both concerned with making sure things were done right and also with making sure they would provide the results what I wanted.

Within a couple days Aaron got back to me with a detailed list of parts needed for my upgrade and gave me the option to order panels myself or just have him take care of everything. I opted for the latter, and his total cost was very competitive. The work was scheduled for a little over a week later, and it was completed all in one day as described. Everything was done professionally, and is working beautifully.

Aaron kept in touch throughout the whole process and was always upfront and honest. I highly recommend Massella Electric, and I will use them again for future work.

I called Aaron with an electrical problem and glad we did. We had been getting the run around from SDG&E and out landlord about the crazy high electric bill. Aaron was able to come out that day to look at the house. He found the problem right away. What a burden off our back. He provided us with photos of the issue and a write up to hand to the landlord of what needed to be repaired.
You are getting a pro when you call Aaron Massella. We will definitely be calling him for any electrical work. We are looking to install new lighting in our house and we are confident he can get the job done, the right way. 100% recommend Massella Electric :)

Massella Electric (ME) installed recessed canned lighting in my living room. Prior to the install, Aaron Massella came over, walked me through the job and educated me regarding my options for materials and lighting features. He worked within my budget and timeline for the project, and ensured I would be pleased with the final product. Upon completion my wife and I were super pleased with the work. I contacted ME 6 months after the job was completed due to a glitch in the lighting that stemmed from a previous electrical job (performed by a less qualified company), and ME came out the same week to ensure it was not related to their work. ME remedied the issue, despite its origin, and again exceeded our expectations. Thanks ME!!!
