Today was the fourth time working with Marcelo Electric for us, and I am still happy as ever! He installed a 220V connection for our Tesla, and did a very neat and clean job. On top of it, when I asked him how much we owed him for his work, it was less than he quoted because the job turned out to be easier than he predicted. Who does that these days? A very honest, sincere, reliable person!

We have hired Marcelo Electric to do multiple jobs for our home (outdoor lights, inside lights, light switch and outlet repair) and would not hire anyone else. Roland is the best! He is very professional and his prices are always fair. Whenever Roland finishes a job you always know that it has been done right. I have never had any issues with any his work. I was looking for someone to put in a 240V outlet in my garage for charging an electric vehicle. Based on the overwhelming positive yelp reviews of Marcelo Electric and for the fact that it's a local Union City business, I decided to give them a call. I had done research online and spoken with others that have done the same install, so I had an idea of the price range. Roland came by and gave me a very competitive quote and was upfront and honest in discussing the options of the location of the outlet. The installation went perfectly and I couldn't be happier about the quality of work and the cost. If only all of my home repairs/upgrades were this easy... I would highly recommend Marcelo Electric to anyone!

Marcelo is a superstar. I moved to a new house and had short circuit issues that caused two rooms and one bathroom electric malfunction. I called first another contractor who spent a lot of time chasing the root cause. But he suggested that I need to open the walls sheets to find where the issue is. That would have cost me few thousands. I called Marcelo for a second opinion. After about an hour, he was able to find the bad wire and fixed it with ease without opening any walls. It cost me less than one hundred dollar. I was very very happy! Thanks Marcelo!

I really like the work Marcelo Electric does for you. Not only do they do a great job, but they do it very clean also. They are particular about making sure your house doesn't get messy from the work they do. Another thing is they really work on your schedule, so, what day and time is good for you is when they will come out and do the work. Totally forgot to write a review but months later I just have to write one as soon as I remembered. Marcelo is a truly honest person and electrician. We had a dryer shut off constantly and he quoted a very reasonable price. He said if it was the dryer itself no cost to us. So he came out and spent a lot more time than I thought and concluded that it was the dryer and not the electricity. I thought surely he might charge a few bucks for his time but he declined. A true man of his word and he was dead on that it was the dryer. I would highly recommend and call him again!

This is my 1st review EVER on Yelp. I felt compelled to let everyone know just how good Roland is. I just bought a new place and, as is common in most older places, it didn't have any lighting in the living room. After removing the popcorn ceiling, I decided to have recessed lighting installed. I got 3 consults and bids from 3 highly-rated Yelp electricians in my area, including Marcelo Electric. Roland's bid was not only the most competitive, but he was the only bid that gave me option/flexibility to purchase my own parts (something the other 2 bids were reluctant to offer).

Roland gave me an estimate of 4 hours to complete the work but it only took him 2 1/2. I'm interested in how these installs are done and Roland even explained and showed me how he does it. I'm extremely happy with the results and feel like I got exactly what I was hoping for and then some.

I'm not one to write reviews on Yelp!, mainly because I always forget. However I couldn't pass up an opportunity to comment on Marcelo Electric. I live in Castro Valley and was told about this company through my dad. Roland is seriously the best! There is no better electrician in the area. Extremely professional, reasonable pricing, and always there when you need him.

He's done work on my condo three times thus far and never disappoints. Thanks to Yelp! my dad found him and we will never try another electrician again. Marcelo electric it is!

There is not a better electrician. Roland is the best in the area. His work is top notch, his prices are extremely reasonable and he is always on time for the job. He also happens to be a great guy. If you need a job done, this is who you should go with. Great work!

I had electrical problem that I talked to several people and Lowe's electrician. All have no conclusion that I decided to look up yelp.com and came across Marcelo Electric. I called and talked to Roland. He is very patient to listen to my issue and explained couple times for the cause and suggestion. I got the problem fixed without having the electrician to come in. I'm happy and very appreciate Roland's advise and decided to write the review. Definitely is a nice guy
