So one day my stove goes out completely. Nothing else went out but checked the circuit breaker anyway, still nothing so I went out and bought a new stove after saving $$ for 2 months. When the installers came out the new stove would't start so they checked the circuit breaker and said it was the electrical plug it is not the circuit breaker you need an electrician. Checked Yelp and was happy to find a electrician with all 5 stars in Union City. First of all he came right on time I mean to the minute. He checked the circuit breaker and there was a switch I missed as well as the installers in the middle of the panel. Feeling like an idiot for buying a new stove when I didn't need it and wasting this guys time and gas so I had him fix 2 electrical outlets one was broken in half and the other was hanging from the wall. Took him about 10 minutes. When I asked him how much he said nothing don't worry about it, it didn't take that long. Seriously, Who does that!! I bought a bank owned home stuck in the 70's when it was built so I have plenty of electrical projects. I definately will call them back. I would give them 10 stars!

Just had Marcelo Electric to our home again! 6 months ago installed & mounted our flat screen TV and put in ceiling lights. Did a FABULOUS job. Today 6 new ""can"" ceiling lights in the Master bedroom, plus installed ceiling fan and did 3 more little ""honey-do"" chores for my husband! (cutting off A/C electric on the roof, lights in the basement, outdoor plug, etc.). Roland and his son had it done by noon! Fast, reliable, dependable, honest and reasonable! HIGHLY recommend! They even cleaned up after the work was done!

My husband and I recently purchased a new gas stove and needed to have an Electrician come to our home to install a new circuit box. I notice Marcelo Electric had several ""GOOD"" reviews on Yelp. We called and scheduled an appointment and were impressed that Marcelo came to our house the following day and gave us a reasonable estimate. We had the work done the following day and want to say Thank You to Marcelo for doing a great job at an affordable price.

So 2012 rolls around and we need Roland's electrical services again.

This time for our new ""old"" house (circa 1966) which doesn't have any lighting installed in bedrooms, living room & family room. Wanted 28 LED recessed lights with dimmers and 3 outdoor plugs installed. We were already comfortable with the fact that Roland was a skilled electrician, but our concern was that this project might break the bank. Nope, more than reasonable pricing compared to another quote we got from a local electrical company that got really good reviews on Yelp! as well. The other quote did not even come close to Roland's.

Took Roland & son(?) two days to complete the work. Wow! Affordable, fast and clean! And most importantly, we have LIGHT!

Excellent service!!! We built a new house. Not only were they the most reasonable quote, but they were just amazing. The main guy (I think owner) is named Roland. He made the stress of the project fun and easy. He came to adjust things whenever needed. He was very knowledgeable. He was always on time. We had many sub-contractors for our house build. He was by far the most professional and stress - free sub that we used.
We still use their services whenever we need anything electric - they just installed our tv and all of our surround sound. If you need an electrician, look no further. Without a doubt, you will be very happy.

Roland and his Marcelo Electric rock!

Before calling Roland, I called a few other electricians to get quotes for two projects at my home. One is to fix an outlet issue and one is to add additional outlet in my main bath room. For the first one, all others gave a quote of $120, and they also gave $230 for the second one.

When Roland came in, after a couple of minutes of examination, he told me some details of the potential issue. With my permission, he then started moving some boxes in my garage and fixed the issue right away! There is no charge at all.

For the second one, he did the job perfectly and charged me much less than the quote from the others. Don't want to blame others, but Roland's professionalism and knowledge really impressed me.

Will definitely use Roland again!

I noticed the black smoke coming out of the outlet after vacuuming. The hot outlet and the continuing buzzing sound scared me. I wanted to find the reliable electrician quickly.

After seeing the great review on Yelp, I contacted Roland. He came to the house at 5pm (I couldn't get off work earlier) and fixed the problem very quickly. When I mentioned that there were other outlets I was concerned with, he checked every single one of them and found that the work done by an electrician 3 years ago, who had charged me an arm and a leg, had messed the wiring.

He has excellent knowledge, works very fast and very friendly.
He said he loves his job and you can see that.

When it was time for me to pay for his service, he charged me only for the materials he used, but not his time. During the conversation, I had mentioned about the fund raising I was hosting on the weekend and he said that he was donating his time. I was stunned. He spent more than an hour!

Not only he is an excellent electrician but also has great heart.
No more looking for an electrician as long as he stays in business!

This past weekend my wife's grandparent's house lost electricity in Union City. They called PG&E and told them they need to find an electrician to get the power on. It was a Sunday morning and we got a hold of Rolen. He took care of the problem asap and barely charged anything. Thanks for Rolen they now have electricity in their home again.

After two weeks of going without electricity in about a third of my home, I called Marcelo Electric. This is a great mom & pop operation! When I called, I spoke to Maria, the owner's wife. She promptly called her husband (the owner/electrician), Roland, and within 15 minutes, I received a call from him & scheduled an appointment for later that day. He came right when he said he would. He's very thorough & I had some serious problems, so this was not going to be an easy fix. Unfortunately, I had to go before he could finish, and I was busy the next day, so he actually offered to come at 7:30am in the morning before his first appointment. And there he was the next day waiting in his white van in front of my house at 7:15am. And sure enough, he had the problem solved within an hour and even fixed other problems he saw without me bringing them to his attention. In addition, the cost was a lot less than I expected. If you ever need an electrician, I highly recommend Roland & Marcelo Electric.
