So I had major electrical issues at my restaurant and searched on google. As they were quick and responsive I would have given them 5 stars. There prompt tech was great to start. The young man seemed knowledgeable but after kind of identifying the problem he said he could net help my restaurant out. Soon after PG&E came and noticed that my restaurant was at fault and showed me how the electrician could have fixed it(which is why I hired an outside electrician for the job I.e. main stream). After paying main stream almost $500 to just come out and diagnose they came back the next day to again tell us that they could not do anything. I do believe they have given other customers good service but don't think they cared about me or my restaurant as a customer. If they would have been able to fix what one other electrician was able to fix I would have given them 5 stars. Just a bit of a bummer :(

I set an appointment for an electrician to provide a quote for a repair due to my electrical since I was experiencing some issues.

The customer rep I had spoken to informed me that the electrician would troubleshoot and provide me with an estimate for the repair.

When the electrician arrived, I was still at work, but was allowed in the household by my wife.
He began to troubleshoot for 10-15 mins, and returned with a $299 quote for additional troubleshooting as the initial troubleshoot was not fruitful. This charge would carry over to what the repair cost would be.

We advised him that the rep told us that we would be provided a quote for the repair, troubleshoot included, but when the electrician informed us that the rep may have provided the wrong information due to them being new to the company and unaware to the company policy, he called them to confirm. I also attempted to call, but they sent me directly to the voicemail box, even after the electrician was off the phone with them.

We rejected the quoted and the electrician went on his way without further troubleshoot and leaving the electrical issue unsolved.

Fast forward 2 weeks where I found another electrical company to be available for a visit.

They performed a troubleshoot on the issue and one question came up on if we had some recent electrical work done, being that one of the wires to the affected lighting being ""capped"". It took me a bit to remember, but my wife advised that the only person that had access to the wiring was the electrician from Mainstream. He then reconnected the wiring and tested the system. Once reconnected the lights were back to normal and operating properly.

This was definitively a ploy to overcharge time for the repair.

I'd advise all future customer of Mainstream to shop around compare quotes prior to moving forward and keeping an eye on any suspicious repairs Mainsteam's electricians perform prior to authorizing any work.

Their employee is an integrity lacking cheat. Company is shameful.

I found Mainstream while searching for EV charging station installers, selected them based on all of the positive reviews, and am now happy to add another 5-star review. Rick came out for an estimate, was quick to understand what I wanted, and emailed an estimate before leaving the premises. The estimate reflected exactly what I'd asked for & was competitive, so I scheduled the work. No long lead time; I called on Friday and the job was scheduled for the following week. Rick and crew showed up on time, with a call in advance to let me know their ETA, they had everything they needed, they finished the job that day, and they cleaned up well afterward. Especially appreciate Frank's thorough double-checking to verify that all switches, outlets, and appliances were working after we switched the power back on at the panel. New EV charger and everything else is working great. Very happy overall with the experience. Mainstream will be my first call next time I need electrical work.

I dealt with Rick. From beginning to end it was ridiculously easy to secure an estimate, move to schedule time on my calendar and to him showing up and fixing my problem. Unreal technology involved in the entire process with texts, mobile app and follow up calls to confirm everything! Honestly a class organization from cradle to grave, these folks are not messing around. I have never written a positive review about an electric company but was compelled to given their world class service. Thank you Main Stream - i will use you for every single electric need in our future!

The lights on my bathroom's two bulb heater fan stopped working. I called Main Stream Electric & electrician Frank Samayoa came to look at the problem. After asking a couple questions, he diagnosed the problem quickly, suggested a temporary repair until the unit which was defective could be replaced & had the lights working in virtually no time at all. As soon as I replace the heater fan, I'm calling Main Stream Electric & requesting Frank come back & install it, even though I'm a Raider fan & he likes the Forty Niners. Seriously, he is very knowledgeable, professional & explains what he is going to do clearly. Call Main Stream when you want quality electrical work.

I had an electrical problem that was pretty bad. Another ""Electrician"" came out to do the work and made everything worse while telling me how he was ""blessing"" me by giving me such a good deal on the work. He was just awful. I finally decided to call someone else to fix the problems once and for all. Came across Main Stream Electric and took a chance. I was not really expecting it to go well at all, but from the first interaction with Rick and his crew (Ricky, Gabe, Slavich and Joseph) I was totally surprised. They are honest, trustworthy, dependable and knew what they were doing. They all showed respect and listened to any questions we had. They took into account our schedule and worked around it the best they could. I have high praise for these guys. I will definitely be referring them to anyone looking for great electricians. The work is reasonably priced and warrantied.

Recently had to have Rick come back out to address a problem that came up and he was able to resolve it quickly and efficiently. All in all, it has been a great experience dealing with this company and this crew in particular. Electrical issues have been fixed and I am beyond relieved. If need be, I will DEFINITELY use this company again.
