Main Stream Electric is an approved vendor by Bosch so I used them to put in my car charger. Working with them was so easy and scheduling was a breeze. They did what they said they would and for the price they said they would and I would highly recommend them. Joe made sure I was happy with the work and kept me informed all the way through the job. After calling several electricians (none of which had people answering phones or were available for at least a month) I called Main Street. Someone picked up the phone every time I called, she was nice and very efficient at setting up my appointment which for both the estimate and the work was next day service. A gentleman named Carlin was assigned to come out and give me an estimate. I am not at all educated in electrical work but Carlin was very helpful in helping me determine the best course of action for my needs and informative on the lingo I was not familiar with. Once the work was scheduled Carlin came back out and worked with me effortlessly, even when I threw him a curve ball and changed the layout of my plugs before he actually set them. He does excellent work very sturdy and well done in a timely manor, I also had him replace a plug and fix another while he was here which he was happy to do. Mainstream runs a tight ship and also has a paperless correspondence system that is easy to navigate and understand. Very helpful people and very nice. They will be my go to referral moving forward.

Carlin was outstanding. Very professional knowledgeable, on time and thorough. We had light fixtures and multiple outlets out and he quickly fixed the problem as well as checking other possible future problems. This guy really went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. Not to mention having to communicate between both the owners and the renters of our home. I contacted Main Stream Electric and scheduled an appointment almost immediatley with the dispatch and had a free estimate done the next day. I was nearly an hour late for our meeting but Carlin, the technician who waited for me understood my situation and was really cool about it.. Carlin gave me a lot of great information about the lighting in my house and what was causing the issues. After determining the best course of action to correct my lighting, he gave me a very fast and reasonable quote. The next day Carlin came through on short notice and installed everything we discussed the day before. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very fast with his installation. When he finished the install he left my house clean and I was all in all very satisfied with his service. The whole process was really fast. Carlin made the entire process a pleasure. I really enjoyed working with him and I will definitely be calling again for any of my electrical needs around my house. Main Stream gets the 5 star from me, due to the hassle free process and the excellent customer service provided by Carlin. Thank you Carlin!!!

Use these electricians at your economic peril. When I called I inquired what I might anticipate the cost of the repairs, they said between $250 and $550 depending on the issue. It was after hours, so I bought the price unfortunately, They sent out an electrician(?) nice guy but clueless. After several hours of unsuccessful repairing the issue they decided over telephone consultation that they came back the next morning. The next morning after two preious trips looking for couplers, they worked another hour and advised, upon our inquire, that the bill would be $1600 and the panel would now need replacing and still no electricity. Then they installed the 10.50 coupler (2) for $102. said PG & E could come out to restart. However, they reported to PGE there was more damage and the panel needed to be replaced, According to PG & E a change in panel requires city inspection and approval after installation of a new panel. We refused to pay $1660 but did pay $552 upon their departure. We discontinued their work and had another electrician come. It took the new electrician 1 hour to re-start fix it, he contacted PGE and told them and provided pictures of the panel showing there was no damage or need for a replaced panel or city inspection. PGE and came out and agreed that everything was in order and operable. They implemented services. We are senior citizens. If you are older don't call them. It is my earnest belief that they looked at us, determined they could tell us anything and we would buy their solution. The panel had been inspect at the city at the time of the solar installation and was found at that time to be correctly installed and not at the electrician from Main Stream who advised it was installed incorrectly.

We had all outlets replaced, a real ground rod/wire installed to electrical panel and outlets (many homes have insufficient grounds - check it out), GFCI plug installs, etc.

The electricians and helpers (Carlin, Gabe, Ricky, and Aaron) were timely, friendly, accommodating, and professional.

I would highly recommend Main Stream Electricians to my friends and neighbors.

This review is a little bit overdue. We needed to have a 240 volt outlet installed in our garage. I contacted three electrician companies recommended by Tesla. The communication with Main Stream was super smooth and they also gave me the lowest quote.

Eduardo came to do the estimate as well as the installation. On the installation day, he worked about 8 hours in my garage. Later he told me normally they would have two people working on the project but they were shorthanded then. Despite the long hours, Eduardo didn't rush a thing. During the work, he even replaced two of my old breakers with new ones. He also noticed one of the old breakers was not working properly, identified the problem and fixed it for me. After he was done, he helped clean everything in the garage even though it's already very late. I was really impressed.

The process of getting the city permit went very well too. Shane helped make the appointment for inspection. Another gentlemen (sorry I forgot his name) was here when the city inspector came. He helped handle everything.

Two weeks after we got the permit, our new car was delivered and we were able to charge it right after it came home. So far everything has been going very well.

You're looking at the impeccable yelp reviews and you're thinking, is Main stream the real deal? Well yes it is. My contact points with mains stream were Shane with the scheduling + the technician Carlin who came out for the estimate and the completion of the job and both have been wonderful. Main stream has a cool systems for technicians to provide you mobile quotes for you from their phones, which you could easily review and ""accept quote"" right from that email quote to get the job scheduled. I like it! but what truly impressed me was how great of an experience I had with the technician Carlin when he came out to complete the job.

I had a home project to install a new smart door bell, now that sounds like an easy thing to do, but due to the original design of the house (glass, solid wood etc) on the side i'd like the new door bell to go, it posed a serious technical challenge. When Carlin showed up to complete the job, it's obvious he has slept on it and already came up with an innovative way of connecting the power in ways the others have said it's ""impossible to do"". And Carlin did it with skill, speed and precision and i couldn't be happier with the end result.

What really floored me is Carlin showed up, prepared to go the extra mile to install a new wired bell chime to compliment the new smart door bell. This way not only i could get phone notification from the door bell, we can also have the traditional sound of door bells for when I'm home and away from phone. This was something i did NOT asked for because i thought it's not possible and it's something i had to live without. Now i have it ALL thanks to Carlin.

I highly recommend Main stream as well as Carlin, for anyone who's looking for a residential service team that could do wonders!!!

I had previously had two other electricians work at our home. The results were all right; but I was looking for a different or new electrician in the hope that I would find someone either easier to work with, or who would leave me more impressed afterward. By that I mean that after you got the work done and you paid them, ideally you should feel like: They did an excellent job, were courteous, pleasant, kept things clean, and I don't feel like I was overcharged for sloppy or incomplete work.

Now I needed some new work done, and I asked a couple of the usual go-to electricians; but this was a good opportunity to expore further. So I was looking around on Yelp, and found a favorable review of Main Stream. I booked an appointment with them; which was very easy to schedule within the fairly tight timeframe that I needed.

Some of the new work was installation, add-on wiring and boxes, adding switches and receptacles, replacing receptacles, I had a variety of requests. I made the first appointment just to have some exhaust fans and switches added in the walls and ceilings of two bathrooms. Then, after reviewing a list of things my property inspector recommended that I have done, I asked Ed for a return appointment, to perform several other electrical changes. They took care of everything. They do very good, very clean work. They are very professional and are very easy to deal with.

I like Main Stream better, and will use them again in the future. They are not satisfied until me, the client is satisfied with the fully finished result I am grateful for the comprehensive, high quality service they performed at our house. Main Stream was the perfect provider to take care of all requirements I had for electrical work at my house. The next thing we will need is some add-on receptacles in our 1950s kitchen, and perhaps updating some other receptacles, and adding circuits for lighting; I will be asking Main Stream to come do the work. Main Stream Electric is highly recommended all around. I have a Berko wall heating unit that went out, and needed to be replaced. Based on the yelp reviews I read on Main Stream Electric I decided to call them and have them assist me. This is the first time I have ever needed to call an electrician and I'm glad I called MSE. I was first assisted by Shane via phone, and his customer service skills were phenomenal! He was able to book me an appointment for a quote at no charge quickly.

Rick came out and was extremely friendly, honest, and knowledgeable about electrical practices. After speaking with him I was confident that he could execute the work and install my new wall unit. He removed my old unit and installed the new one, and was very clean with his work. I can not be more satisfied with MSE and I will make sure to refer them whenever I can. Thanks again!
